    I Don't Celebrate It.

    Friday, June 19 2009
Jeffery and Dinah put his plan into action, Reva freaks out when Jeffrey vanishes and Rafe has trouble talking to his mother.

Josh wakes up in his car and continues keeping an eye on Cross Creek. Inside, Reva wakes up Shayne and tells him they need to head out. She has no idea where her husband is and needs to track him down. They walk out and get into her car. Josh follows. When they get to the police station, Josh stops her outside and tells her that he has a message from Jeffrey. He explains that he's gone looking for Edmund and they manufactured evidence to frame him. "He'd never leave me," she says, storming off. He follows her and argues that this was the only thing that made sense. "To hell with you!" she says, ordering him to stay away from her. "I have to find Jeffrey," she tells Shayne. When she gets in the car, her son won't let her drive while she's being irrational. He tells her to trust that her husband will make everything okay.

In Bosnia, Jeffrey and Dinah go to meet one of his old contacts, Mr. Grieci. They explain that they are setting a trap for Edmund and using his daughter Lara as bait. They are going to dig a new grave for Lara and then leak a story that she faked her death and she's a covert operative. Dinah will play Lara and this should be enough to draw Edmund out.

Olivia drops Emma off at camp and they talk about what to get Rafe for his birthday.

Natalia accidentally drops some eggs at the minimart. Matt comes over to help and offers to buy her a cup of coffee. He takes her outside and shows her his bike. Olivia arrives and Matt bikes off. "He did the bike routine for me the other day," Olivia says.

Frank and Rafe are having breakfast when Frank realizes it's his birthday. "I don't celebrate it," Rafe claims. Frank encourages him to go and see his mother but Rafe doesn't want to.

Marina goes to visit Mallet. He admits that he has no idea where Jeffrey is but he's sure that they will find him. Shayne comes in and begins taunting Mallet. The cop orders him out and threatens to arrest him for getting in the way.

Mallet goes out to check on his men and finds them playing video games instead of looking for Jeffrey. He begins ranting at them and tells them that he'll be filing a report against them.

Rafe goes home to see his mother. He wanted to see her last night but couldn't do it. She admits that this relationship with Olivia conflicts with her beliefs and she's had a lot of long talks with God about it. They miss each other and hug. When she suggests that the three of them sit down some time, he gets up and leaves.

Frank runs into Olivia at the minimart. He suggests that she give Nat and Rafe some time and space to work things out. "What if Natalia needs me?" she asks. He tells her to be careful.

Frank arrives at the station. He and Mallet work on a strategy for how to get to Jeffrey.

Reva and Shayne go to Jeffrey's office. She hacks into his computer and begins searching for where he might be. After they leave, Frank and the cops come in. They guess that Reva broke in and hacked into the computer.

Matt rides out to see Josh on the construction site. Josh is banging nails into a board as part of his anger management routine.

Olivia waits for Emma. When she comes out, they talk about what to get Rafe. Emma wants to make sure that he knows they love him.

Shayne goes to Marina's to complain about Mallet. She thinks he's really there to see Henry. She shoves the baby into his arms and then tells him to give him back. "I can't worry about this Shayne," she says, asking him to tell her that he will stop showing up like this and interfering in her life. Mallet walks in and asks for some answers. Marina covers and the men bicker. Frank walks in to grab a beer but there isn't any so he leaves. Shayne and Mallet continue arguing. Marina thinks everyone is acting crazy and they need to calm down. Shayne says it's too late to step back and walks out.

Reva goes home and searches for clues and soon discovers that Jeffrey's gun is gone. She digs around until she finds a phone number. She calls, getting a Mr. Grieci, and asks him if he's seen her husband.

Jeffrey and Dinah don uniforms and go out to dig up Lara. Grieci comes up to explain that they have already set up the leak and have a new body to dump. Reva calls him and tells him to tell Jeffrey that she loves him and wants him to come home.

Rafe goes to see Frank at the station. He tells him that he went to see his mom but he couldn't stay. Frank offers to spend some time with him later.

Olivia and Emma go to Natalia's. She tells them that Rafe was there but couldn't stay. They eat and then decide to put candles in the cake and blow them out.

Rafe goes to the baseball diamond alone.

    Next on Guiding Light:

    Dinah prepares to be Lara.

Alan tells James he's old enough to join the board.

Phillip flies halfway across the country to see a doctor.

Cyrus tells Remy he needs the diamonds.

Well here it is Friday and again no real cliffhanger. I am just waiting for Shayne to blow his cool and tell Mallet the baby is his. Wonder how Mallet would react to that. Rafe and Nat have a long road ahead of them. I don't know who will give in to this problem. I try to understand how Nat feels but I just can't. I would never be able to choose someone over my son. You can always find a new love but you can NEVER replace your son. Trust me, I know. I only hope Nat makes the choice for both of them. Today's show had too many s/l's going. I sometimes think it would be better to have one s/l at a time. Maybe not, JMO. Well everyone have a great weekend.

Hi: GLandWT, mom6 (how's the computer). Julien, Gossipqueen75, Vanillahere, and Sunflower23.

I only have one comment today - no questions:

Jeffrey looked very handsome in that uniform. He made me think of Prince Richard.

Hi 3Puppies, Julien, Mom6, Gossipqueen75, Vanillahere, Sunflower23, and all. Have a great weekend.

Jeffrey and Dinah reminded me of Harm and Mac on JAG. I'm wondering if they are going to hook up, and if that is how Josh and Reva get back together.

Marina needs to tell Mallet the truth about Henry.

    Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Well, I might agree about putting a child before a lover... IF it were a CHILD we were talking about. BUT, Rafe is grown and quite capable of being on his own (even as an ex-con). Writing Rafe as a selfish young man is pretty true to life and writing Natalia as a concerned parent who would like to work things out between them is fine also. That said, the character of Natalia deserves to be written so that she can have her own life now and love whom she wants with or without her son's approval. I can guarantee you that if Rafe found someone that Natalia didn't approve of... it would make no difference to him and he would continue his relationship no matter what his mother thought. My goodness!! - Natalia's character has sacrificed for everyone in her life - it would be nice if those around her could be as unselfish and loving and forgiving as she has been. The character of Olivia has learned that lesson and we see her continually acting that way towards Natalia.

    BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by E.K.L at Friday, June 19 2009 07:51 PM

why do they have the most ugliest houses. They are sooo
    small. And, very messy looking.
And, they all dress so awful, at least some of them do.
    Except Dinah, and Lizzie.
That's about it. I mean some of the girls look like
they do not take care of themselves well at all.

Also, when there is a commercial on GH I will turn it on.
Like the other day when Jeffrey and Reva were making love,
and the camera people show them sooo close up.
    Why would they do that.
Ever since they've changed their format of the show,
it's been nothing but a mess for them, they have gone
downhill. It's ridiculous how bad it has gotten.
Also why do they always "Play" music when they are in a
scene. You can't hear the people on their talking.
THIS HAPPENS NON-STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!Do something about it
    and real soon, C'mon Guys!~!!!Change your ways.......!Bye!!!

They are about to change their ways, to stop it.....on Sept 18th, 2009!!! Maybe you should not watch it if it upsets you so much, there's lot of good on this show, maybe you do not like the houses, clothes, camera angles, etc. but all in all most of us viewers are going to miss it when it is gone. Lot more to this show than just the physical parts of it, so I hope that you can enjoy for the time that it has left....I plan to.

I am surprised no one commented on the fact that they should leave Lara alone and let her be at peace. At the beginning, I hoped that she was alive. This is a soap so there is still a chance. Edmund alive? Who IDed the body. Wasn't it someone who knew Edmund? Pleeeeze. Also, I had hoped to see Nat and Frank together at the end of the series, happily and why wasn't the baby Nat is carrying written in as his? She obviously has changed a lot. She doesn't give a care about Rafe's feelings. Also, Reva and Josh should get back together, Mallet and Dinah, whiner Marina with Shayne and raising his baby (unless, of course, Lara is still alive), and Bill and Lizzy living happily ever after. Like many of you, I am also bored and fast forward through certain story lines. I could go on and on but have to say good bye for now. The writers of this show are awful.

Friday's show was good but Rafe needs to get a grip and stand by his mother. He should just want her to be happy. I mean she really stood by him when he was in jail. It's not a matter of her chosen over him on and Olvia. If he loves her he should want his mother to be happy no matter what choices she make. He has been acting like a spoiled brat since he got out of jail.

Um, anyone who actually thought Frank and Nat were going to be together was not really watching the story IMO. They had zero chemistry and she cringed when they kissed. She never told Frank she loved him, not before, during or after his proposal. It was plainly clear that she was struggling with feelings for Olivia all the way back to last year. People on this board have some serious blinders on and are only interested in some old 1950's version of GL so they come on here and blast the show. The production model and S/Ls that GL has done in the last year were bold, brave and unconventional. The show should be proud of accomplishing that, even if their audience wasn't ready for it. It is a testament to the history of GL - it will be remembered as a show that has always strived to break new ground.
