Destined To Spend Time Behind Bars.

    Friday, May 29 2009
Phillip decides to take the fall and Reva's family complicate things for her.

In Chicago, Lizzie finishes her fourth shower. She may have only been in a cell for three hours but she can still feel 'the jail slime'. Bill tells her that she's a real Spaulding now. She drops her towel and asks him back into the shower with her. They make love and lounge in bed.

At Towers, Phillip tells Beth that the cops have no idea that James was involved in the scheme. Since he knows that they will be going after the mastermind, he's decided to take the fall himself. Beth thinks that's a bad idea. Phillip can't let James go to jail, or Bill and Lizzie for that matter. "It seems like I'm destined to spend some time behind bars," he says with a laugh.

James goes over to Company to see Daisy. She thinks he's a jerk for using Bill's name and being arrogant. As she stomps away from him, Dinah walks by and over to Shayne and Josh to tell them that Reva's just been arrested. They run out. "Wow! Your Grandma Reva's been arrested," James says to Daisy. He offers to cover for her while she checks on the jailbird.

At the station, Mallet lays out his case against Reva for Marina. Marina insists that Reva couldn't kill Edmund because she is a new mother. When she leaves, Shayne, Josh and Dinah file in. Mallet forbids them to see Reva. Dinah offers to distract him while the Lewis men go in. He lets them go.

Daisy runs into Marina who tells her that she can't go and see Reva now. She orders her back to Company. When she gets back, she tells James he can leave. Phillip walks in and Daisy tells him he can't talk because he's working. He orders a coffee and tells his son they have to talk. Phillip explains that he is going to turn himself in. They walk outside and Phillip explains how he can make this work. James thanks him and they hug awkwardly. Phillip expects him to use this opportunity to make a better life for himself. "This is all so unexpected," James admits. When he walks away, Daisy sticks her head out. Phillip tells her that his son needs some space to get his head together. "That's fine! I don't care!" she declares, slamming the door.

James runs into Lizzie and Bill. They tell him that Phillip just bailed them out of jail. Bill asks him to be in his wedding party. James says he wouldn't miss it for the world. They sit down and discuss Bill's bachelor party for a few minutes before James heads off.

In the cells, Reva tells Jeffrey that she didn't kill Edmund. He brings up her lies and points out how many things she's been hiding. She explains that she had to be sure that Edmund would stay away from Shayne. He asks her what made her stop following Edmund. She claims that he touched Lara's name on the construction sign and became a changed man so she turned and left. Jeffrey doesn't seem convinced. Josh and Shayne burst in. "She didn't do it," Shayne insists. Jeffrey wonders how he can be so sure. Shayne becomes agitated and Jeffrey leaves to check on the baby. Everyone else storms off and Reva sits down to think. Marina sneaks in with Colin. Reva cradles her baby and thanks her.

Shayne goes upstairs and begins ranting at Mallet. Josh asks his son to calm down. Shayne and Mallet continue arguing. Mallet asks them if they have anything for him to help with the case. They don't. He walks away. "I really don't like that guy," Shayne says. Josh suggests he leave for awhile and Dinah escorts him out. Josh sits and drinks coffee until Jeffrey shows up after filing some papers. Both men want to go and see Reva but Mallet stops them to remind them that only her lawyer can go in. "Take care of her," Josh says.

When Jeffrey and Mallet go down to the cells, they find Marina and the baby with Reva. Mallet is irate and reminds them that there are rules they have to follow. He warns them that if her friends and family don't back off, she could end up spending time in prison just for breaking all of the little rules. The cops leave. "Colin looked really good," Reva says. "That's because he's not in jail," Jeffrey tells her. He accuses her of sacrificing her new family to protect her old one.

Upstairs, Mallet rants at Marina for what she did. He's trying to make Reva and her family miserable so he can get the truth out of them. He can't let this turn into a party. She tells him that he's too wrapped up in this and their friends and family are the only things that matter. Jeffrey comes up and takes Colin.

Dinah and Shayne go home and she begins digging around for information about the case. Dinah defends Mallet and he becomes annoyed that she's acting like a referee. "I feel like you want my mom in jail," he says. He then begins accusing her of thinking that he killed Edmund. It's occurred to her. Someone is going down for this and it will be someone close to him, she points out.

Lizzie and Bill go home and look over information about the fund. Phillip comes in and tells them that he's taken care of this and he doesn't want them to think about it anymore. They're relieved and tell him that they just saw James and he was happy. Phillip is happy that his kids will be happy.

James starts calling investors and telling them that he has a new business opportunity.

Josh goes to company and Daisy complains about the Spauldings before joking about baking Reva a cake with a file in it.

    Hi all,
I didn't watch the show again today. Too busy. I read the recap and I guess it was okay. I really rather watch the show then just read about it. I will not comment on what I read because I feel like I wouldn't have anything positive to say.

Hey: GLandWT, mom6, Julien, Gossipqueen75, Vanillahere, and Sunflower23.
    Have a great weekend.

You writers are really pissing a lot of viewers off! Leave Bill and Lizzie alone and let them get married; also write in her pregnancy so Alan's head will spin. And why in the Hell are you bringing back Cyrus? Send the Ausie home cause no one likes him.

I watched today's episode, and I can't think of anything positive to say.

I hope James realizes that Phillip loves all his children.

How exactly did Reva break the rules? She was minding her own business chillin in her cellie. And we know Reva didn't do it cause it's never the first person arrested, it's a soap rule. And how does Cyrus know about Edmund's diamonds, yes he did the jewel thief thing, but obviously there is a whole off screen s/l we don't know about. Lazy writers.

Ugh! James still turned around & set Bill up again! I think he did it so his Dad wouldn't go to jail. Maybe, I don't know. He is certainly a brat!! Cyrus??? Thought we were done with him.
Remy is going to end up getting got with the diamonds. So there goes his job once again!! Give us a break writers! Can't you get anything right?
I think that Marina is going to turn to Shayne & Dinah is going to stick up for Mallot!!! I knew that they would get Marina & Bill together. She was feeling bad also because she doesn't want Henry's Grandma in jail!!!

Can someone tell me HOW Mallet got to be a Police Officer? He is getting on my nerves. He doesn't have enough proof that Reva did it and you would think Jeffery would know that w\ him being DA. Where was my Otalia today?

Mallett has known Reva how long? Then he cuffs her and rides through town with the siren on to bring it to everyones attention. First of all, where the heck could/would she run to and second why bring all this attention to one of your good friends.
