Shayne throws a memorial for Edmund and Mallet gets his chief suspect in view.
Mallet tells Marina and Henry to go back to sleep while he runs off to work. He has a busy day of questioning murder suspects today. Going downstairs, he picks up his pictures of the suspects and wonders who did it. Marina and the baby come down while he's writing a note for Henry. He's looking forward to busting open a big case, even if it means he may have to arrest a friend. Marina thinks it is all hitting a little too close to home and wishes they would just leave this alone.
Josh is at the construction site. He becomes frustrated and throws his plan on the ground.
Remy stops his jog to look at his little bag of diamonds. "I am sorry Prince Edmund but finders-keepers," he says. He goes to Company and finds Christina working on her daycare plans. He tells her that he may have found the answer to their money problems. She reminds him that money doesn't fall out of the sky but he says that miracles happen. Mallet calls and asks them to come down to the station.
Mallet sits at his desk in the station and begins rifling through the evidence. He finds a DVD that Edmund left behind. As he watches, Christina and Remy walk in. She recognizes his voice as one of those she heard in the park.
Jeffrey reads the paper and sees that Edmund died of unnatural causes. Reva walks over and he shows her the article. "The only thing that surprises me is that he lived as long as he did," she says. He points out that she was up all night pacing. Reva tells him he worries too much.
Dinah wakes Shayne while he's dreaming. He was dreaming of Edmund. She tells him that he's gone for good. "There's some loose ends to tie up," he says, leaping out of bed. He's not sure what to do but the dreams are freaking him out. She's sure this is all about Henry. He feels like he can't hurt Mallet and Marina but he needs to do something for Lara. He calls Marina and tells her he wants a group of 'Edmund survivors' to come together and put him to rest.
Olivia sits by the baseball diamond and resists calling Natalia. She walks over to Cross Creek and asks Jeffrey if he would be willing to speak at Rafe's hearing. He'd be glad to and asks her what else is on her mind. She admits that the hearing could change a lot of things, though she says that she and Nat aren't a couple, just friends and a bit more. "A couple you mean?" he asks. He warns her that sometimes helping your children can lead to trouble. She guesses he's talking about Reva, who just happens to walk in. "So you're the rat! I should have known," Reva says. Before they can get into it, Shayne calls and invites his mother to the meeting. She agrees to go. Jeffery thinks this is crazy.
Shayne and Dinah are setting things up in the park when Josh arrives. They chat about Edmund and Marina arrives. She adds to the chorus of people happy that Edmund is gone. They talk about the baby and then toast to life. Shayne says that, unlike Edmund, they are all lucky that they will never be alone. Jeffrey, Olivia and Reva arrive. Olivia thought that Edmund would have lightened up when he had a kid; she did after all. Shayne talks about how they should all learn from Edmund's mistakes. Josh thinks they were all left stronger for surviving him. "I say to his killer: 'Job well done sir'," Dinah toasts.
Mallet brings Remy and Christina to the gathering. He tells them to think of this as an audio lineup. They wander over and Marina explains that her husband is just there as a friend. Mallet has the message that Edmund left behind. He plays it for them. They watch as he talks about Lara and then about how he lived most of his life as a selfish man, empty and alone. He had been a prince, but he would have gladly given up a thousand titles like that to spend more time with his daughter. He begs future generations to hold onto the love in their hearts and value it above all other things and never give up on hope. When it's over, Josh wonders if Edmund would have been a better person if he had watched his child grow up. "Well, I hated the man," Reva declares. She rants about him and says that having him die has let them all know that, unlike him, they are loved. "He didn't die in vain, right? Cheers to that!" she declares, taking a swig. Christina turns to Mallet and tells him that it was Reva's voice she heard.
As the guests leave, Mallet becomes pensive. Josh confronts him about bringing the DVD there. Mallet tells him that the people in this town seem to need a reminder that deaths have consequences.
Marina tells Shayne she hopes today helped. "It did," he says. After she walks away, he admits to Dinah that he can't go on like this; he has to tell Marina the truth. He doesn't know how he can find the right words to say. "Tell the truth, that's all you can do," she suggests. He walks off.
Olivia sits in the gazebo. She calls Nat to tell her that, whatever they have, it's what she wants more than anything.
Mallet has Christina re-confirm that Reva was the voice she heard. He thanks her and walks off. She turns to Remy. He's upset. She tells him money doesn't bring happiness. He's not so sure.
Mallet catches up with Reva and tells her they need to talk.
Shayne catches up with Marina and tells her they need to talk.
