    We Can Go Nuts Together.

    Friday, April 17 2009
Natalia tells Olivia how she feels, Bill asks Lizzie to go to New York and Alan pressures Phillip into having a psychiatric test.

At Company, Bill tells his father that he wants to take Lizzie to New York City and pull out all the stops. Billy offers him some suggestions. Bill has been going out of his mind waiting for his tenth date with Lizzie and wants to squeeze seven dates into 48 hours.

At the office, Phillip isn't happy that Alan wants him to undergo a psychiatric test before he can work in the company again. He insists that he isn't afraid of the results but suspects his father is up to something. Alex tells him to just go through with it. Phillip continues to refuse so Alan suggests that Lizzie offer her opinion. She's not sure this is the best way to go about this and suggests they just duke it out. Alex forbids her brother to fight while he's still drunk. Alan offers him a psychiatrist's number. Phillip suggests they have group therapy. Bill arrives and ushers Lizzie out. He asks her if she'll end up as nuts as them someday. "Probably," she says. "Then we can go nuts together," he offers before asking her out for dates four through ten. Seven elegant dates in New York City.

Lizzie and Bill go back to the mansion to pack. He's eager to get this going but she teases him that she can wait longer than he can. They go upstairs and she packs her seven bags for seven dates.

Back in the office, Phillip defends Lizzie's running off and thinks she should be having fun, not running a company. Alex points out how well the company has been doing under Bill and Lizzie and thinks they deserve a break. Philip suddenly agrees to see the shrink. Alan takes his sister into another room and tells her he didn't get a doctor because he thought Phillip would refuse. "I guess I have to come up with a different approach to keep him in his place," he says. As he makes calls, Alex asks him to let this go. He refuses.

Frank and Buzz walk out of the church. Frank is panicking since Nat walked out. He worries that his father might have planted doubts in her head. Emma comes out and asks them what's going on. They take her inside and tell her that Nat must just need some reassurance and Olivia can give her that. Frank promises the little girl that he'll work everything out with Natalia. Buzz tells his son that he will be the best husband and father in the world, but maybe he rushed things too much... Frank talks about how much he loves her and his father tells him that he should be telling Natalia that.

Daisy walks outside with James. He's finding all of this entertaining. She thinks he's a jerk. He asks her for a ride. "Call your driver Richie Rich," she snickers. He doesn't like to play the rich kid. She thinks he's just coming onto her and walks away. As she drives off, she sees James hitchhiking. She's getting coffee for everyone and offers him a ride if he pays for it.

Olivia catches up with Nat in the gazebo. Natalia can't go back to the church even if she loves the Coopers and the idea of being part of their family. Olivia encourages her to do it, but Natalia says it's not right. Olivia continues trying to convince her that Frank is the right choice. "I don't love him! I love you!" Natalia finally blurts out. When Olivia told her that she loved her, she wasn't surprised. "Whatever this is... this doesn't happen, not in my world, and this really scares me..." Nat explains. But as time went on, things felt so right and she realized that Olivia is her family and is everything to her. Olivia thinks it's a relief to have this out in the open, but they're both confused. They sit down and worry about Frank and what they will tell him. Natalia's been lying to Frank and herself. Olivia tells her she's done nothing wrong. "I disappointed a good man," Nat says. Olivia offers to fix things. Natalia knows that all she did was tell the truth. "But what good is that truth if all it does is hurt other people?" she asks.

Frank shows up and asks her what happened. That's hard for her to explain. Natalia says she was overwhelmed and everything felt wrong; she's not right for him. She has feelings she doesn't understand. As she stutters and trails off, Olivia says the problem is Gus and it's too soon. Frank assumes that he pushed too quickly. "I never meant to hurt you... I wanted everything that today was supposed to be," Nat tells him, begging him not to hate her. He doesn't hate her, but he would never ask her to go against her true feelings. He says that they can tell everyone this was a mutual decision. She doesn't think she deserved to be saved. Frank still wants to wait for her. He kisses her and walks away. Natalia asks Olivia how she can lie to Frank like this. Whatever they have between them, she knows that Nat is ashamed of it and they can't dance around this anymore. She's sure that Natalia will hate her for this and she can't live with that. Olivia walks away in tears.

Buzz and Emma sit in the church and play cards. They talk about how confusing love can be.

Phillip meets Billy at Company. They eat and talk about their children. Daisy and James walk in. Lizzie calls and tells her brother about the big mess at the office. He tells her that their father is eating pie, not undergoing treatment. She's leaving town so she wants to say goodbye. He lets her know that he'll be sticking around and glances over at Daisy. They get the coffee order ready. Billy tells Phillip that James reminds him of him. "That's what worries me," Phillip says. Alan calls and tells him that he's found him a doctor.

At the mansion, Alex sneers at Alan. "What? You told me to take control," he says. He sits down and waits. Phillip arrives and Alan sends a few guards from the mental hospital after him to drag him off.

When Daisy and James get back to the church, it's empty. They decide to sneak up and ring the bell.

Frank and Olivia go back into the church to get Emma. Frank thanks Olivia for all of her help. She takes her daughter and leaves. Frank explains to his father that Gus is the reason the wedding didn't happen. He's determined to help Natalia get over him. "Grief doesn't have a time schedule," Buzz warns. As Olivia and her daughter walk out, she tells Emma that Natalia just needs to figure some things out.

Wow, Natalia sure bloosomed out, didn't she? She looked great enchanced today. Maybe it was the coat? Right!! Frank is so loving, I felt so sorry for him today. He is so trusting. Now, Alan is another case. I couldn't believe Alex didn't say something to Phillip about what Alan was planning. I was disappointed in her. So does this mean Phillip is going to be locked up again? Same scenerio as the last time. GL more on with this same old stuff. Daisy and James, I don't know about those two. Bill and Lizzie - gee whiz get married already. That s/l is taking way too long.
    Where is Cyrus?
Well everyone have a great weekend.

For all of you who said that cancelling Guiding Light is a mistake. How to you like what happend today with the wedding. Is it any wonder why the show is being cancelled. NO ONE WANTS TO WATCH A GAY RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OLIVIA AND NAT.

What an absolutely amazing Otalia week. Ellen Wheeler and Jill Lorie Hurst...standing ovation ladies!!! Brilliant writing...just brilliant. And the acting...OMG...speechless. Crystal Chappell put on an acting clinic this week and Jessica you are learning from the best and are following in her footsteps...just AWESOME!!! The Bizzie S/L is getting good and James and Daisy are cute together. GL is the best show on right now...hands down!!! Love it!!!!!

Glad that part is overwith & we all knew for months that it would happen that way. Made it way to obvious. Hope they don't keep dragging it out on them not telling Frank why. I bet Nat leaves town or they would of had her tell him now. Enough with it already. Great job of acting tho:-)
Alan needs to be the one locked up. He is the craziest one of all of them. Good grief.
Okay, sick of the dumb Lizzie & Bill saga. Move one. Looks like it's going to be exciting when they discover that little Henry is Shane's baby. Wow! Keep up the great s/l's and loose that lame ones. Keep this show alive!! Please!!!

I just read what is coming up next week. OMG, they are going to find out about the baby possibly being Shayne's. Wouldn't it be great if they found out Lara is still alive. After all, Shayne never saw her body. That would be exciting. I like Shayne and Dinah, but down deep I still want to see Dinah and Mallet back together.

3Puppies, I was a little surprised that Phillip would allow Alan to choose a doctor for him to see. No way would I trust Alan to do that when he has paid so many people off to do his dirty deeds. I thought Alex was on Phillip's side. Apparently, she is Alan's little flunky. I am not liking Alan for what he is doing to Phillip. Lizzie and Bill need to put him out. Alan needs to go and play with Peyton. I guess when we see her again, (before GL is cancelled) she will be almost as old as Emma.

I will try not to comment on O/N s/l after today; however, I can't see why they couldn't be a blended family without the gay part. There are so many close friends who have each other best interest at heart and becoming lovers never crossed their minds. I know these things happen in real life and there are a lot of messed up children resulting from it. It was just wrong what Natalia did to Frank. Even if she was sure of her feelings for Olivia, she was sure of how she felt about Frank - she was not in love with him. I have vented.

There are plenty of gay story lines all over television right now, there is nothing new or spectacular about this one. It’s not going to save GL, in fact it’s just another nail in the coffin. The thing I hate the most is that they have been planning this hook up for years and killed Gus to make it happen. They broke up Gus and Harley and Olivia and Buss a long lime ago and now I can see they had this in mind when they did it. They turned this show completely upside down all so they could get a cutting edge gay SL. Sad sad sad. I really miss Gus and Harley and O and Nat no where near make up for that. I read a magazine article where they warned GL not to go down this road because most of their fans are in an age bracket that is not accepting of a gay SL. I know some like it but it has really ruined the show for me.

I meant to say "if she wasn't sure of her feelings for Olivia..."

How can they just drag Philip off with out any reason? They better not have him locked up again. I would like to see him and Beth back together before the show ends, and maybe have another baby. Speaking of babies, where in the heck is Payton? I never see her and Beth doesn’t even talk about her.
