Dinah confesses, Daisy pulls a gun on Alan and Shayne opens up to his father.
At the Beacon, Bill is happy to see Ashlee photographing the party. She explains that his sister is doing a story on him being cleared. He and Lizzie make-out and giggle.
Across the room, Phillip takes Dinah aside to confront her about the kidnapping. As he coldly rubs it in, she insists that she is good. She walks up to the roof and stands on the edge. While she takes deep breaths, Phillip follows her out. "Out with the bad, in with the good," he says, jumping over to her. He tells her that she should be more afraid of Bill than him. Dinah lets it slip that she was involved. He puts the pieces together and she accuses him of chasing Grady out of town. That means he can't prove anything. "You watched as my little girl was tortured," he accuses. Grabbing her, he makes her look down and tells her that there is nothing legal he can do to her.
Shayne is in the park hitting rocks with his baseball bat. Josh asks him what's wrong. Shayne claims that he and Dinah don't need each other anymore. "I want to not want her," he admits. Josh asks him why. Shayne can't answer and throws his bat down. As they sit in the batting cage, Josh tells him that in a perfect world he would still be with Lara, but this isn't a perfect world. Shayne admits that he thinks about her less when he's with Dinah. Josh thinks that's good. If she makes him happy, he should work for it. Shayne doesn't think he deserves her; he could never protect Dinah. He promised the same to Lara and he killed her. With difficulty, he tells his father about the night that Lara died. He missed a mine and it killed her. "I killed my most important person," he says, so he went for a walk in an active mine field to die and ended up in the chair. Every day since then has been the most horrible thing he could imagine. "Accidents happen. That's the way life works sometimes," Josh says. Shayne worries that Edmund would blame him. Josh thinks that's true. He tells his son to spend some time with Dinah. Shayne thanks him for listening.
Remy finds Daisy crying in the mini mart. She's been calling Grady for days without any luck. Her grandfather has gone crazy and she hates Alan. "Everyone hates Alan," he says. She trudges off to the party and asks Ashlee where Alan is. They hurry off to look. In the hall, Ashlee tells her friend that Alan is the last person she should see now. "Grady is the kidnapper," she blurts out. Daisy accuses her of lying and runs off.
Dinah returns to the dining room and watches Bill laughing with his family. "Don't you wish you were happy like them? Guilt free?" Phillip asks as he follows her. She gets a drink. He tells her it won't help and taunts her for not deserving any happiness. She claims she does deserve it. "I have better things to do than punish you Dinah. Besides, I'm sure you will punish yourself," he says. Bill and Lizzie wander over and ask her to dance. They tell her how great she is and how much of a help she's been. As they start to toast her, she stops them. "None of you would be here if it wasn't for me," she explains. She has waited her whole life to hear their kind words, but she doesn't deserve them. She thanks God that Bill is home, but says this is the last time anyone will see her like this. "He wasn't working alone... when Grady Foley kidnapped Lizzie he had help from me," she confesses. She gave Bill everything because he was her brother and he kicked her out. She wanted him to suffer for that but she lost control of everything. Dinah doesn't expect anyone to understand or forgive her. Lizzie becomes distraught. Dinah offers to go to the police and take responsibility. "You're nothing to me," Bill sneers at her.
After everyone clears out, Dinah asks Phillip if he's happy now. He's not, but he tells her that she will be better off. She's lost everything so she can have a clean slate. "It doesn't feel like the beginning, it feels like the end," she says. Throwing her off the roof would be kinder.
As Buzz wanders the streets and drinks, he thinks he spots Jenna in the distance. Eventually, her ghost confronts him. She asks him how long he'll keep running. "I'm lost," he confesses, and there is nothing he can do for his family. They kiss and she tells him to stop wallowing in self-hatred. He knows that he can't do anything to Alan and should take comfort in his family, but he can't: He feels nothing and blames himself for Coop's death.
Daisy shows up in Alan's office. She tells him that she's searched everywhere for Grady without luck. Finally, she went into the basement and stole Marian's gun. Taking it out and leveling it at him, she demands that he tell her where Grady is. She tells him that her mother taught her to shoot and demands the truth from him. Alan suggests that she's just embarrassed she 'hitched her wagon to a degenerate'. "When you hook up with someone like that, you deserve what you get," he says. She shoots. It whizzes past him. He's shocked that it was a real bullet. She threatens to shoot off his kneecaps. "You're starting to sound like your mother," he says. Buzz arrives. Alan tells him to get his granddaughter out of there. Buzz says the one with the gun is in control. Alan tells them they've both lost touch with reality, just like Coop had. Buzz forbids him to say that name again and takes Daisy out.
Outside, Daisy tells Buzz that she has been stupid. Everyone was right about Grady. Buzz tells her that things will be okay; he needs his family and they need him. She hugs him and they go home.
Edmund goes to the office and runs into Josh. He's looking for Shayne, worried that something is weighing on him. "I'm not trying to come between you and your son," he says. "You won't," Josh assures him.
Lizzie and Bill get home. She doesn't want their relationship to be about anything before he returned. They need to let it all go. "Tonight, can you just hold me?" she asks. He does.
Dinah goes back up to the roof. She hangs off the edge and stares down. Shayne interrupts. "Party's over I guess?" he asks. "Everything is over," she says.
