Olivia explains things to Natalia, Lizzie yells at Coop, Beth confesses to Rick and Lizzie leaves.

At home, Olivia doesn't know whether to laugh or cry about Natalia's naivety. Natalia still can't figure out what she's talking about. Olivia attempts to clarify but words don't work so she pulls her into a kiss. Nat backs away, shocked. She finally gets it. After an awkward pause, the phone rings. She checks if it's Rafe and then hangs up. She still can't understand why Olivia just kissed her. Olivia tells her that there wasn't any other way and points out how everyone else assumed they were a couple. Natalia worries about what Emma's teacher must think. Olivia tells her it's no big deal. "It's a big lie about who we are," Natalia says, demanding that they go and tell the teacher the truth right now.

They go to the school and wait for the teacher to return. Natalia stutters, terrified that everyone thinks they're lesbians and worrying that Rafe will find out. Olivia mocks her and tells her she's blowing this out of proportion. Natalia thinks that the report should be re-written for Emma's own good. "She's my daughter. You stay away!" Olivia says. After she storms off, the teacher arrives. Awkwardly, Natalia explains that she thinks people got the wrong idea from Emma's presentation. The teacher doesn't follow so Natalia explains her relationship with Olivia. As Olivia returns, the teacher apologizes for the misunderstanding. Natalia says that they are more than roommates; they are a family and friends who do everything they can to help each other. She never thought she could have something like that after her husband died, but she does.

Lizzie walks into Towers while talking to Alan on the phone. She tells him that the family legacy is the only important thing to her now. Suddenly, she spots her mom sitting with Coop. She runs out and Coop trails after. He corners her in the elevator to talk. "You want my blessing to bang my mom!" she shouts, telling him that he makes her sick. She continues to gag, disgusted by the whole thing. Finally, she slaps him in the face. He asks her if it felt good. She punches him. "That felt better," she says. When she walks out, he runs after her. He thinks this is all 'mildly comical', but she thinks it's gross and messed up. He thinks it's just hard for her to see him with her mother after she's ended things with Bill. She's offended that he thinks she's jealous of his 'cheap sex'. He tells her that he and Beth have strong feelings for each other. She almost walks into a brick wall; he is just making things worse. She's sure that love can only make things worse for everyone. "Walk away from my mother," she demands. He refuses. She threatens to make him regret this. When she goes to her car, he follows, telling her that the Lizzie he loved once will return one day, look in the mirror, and not like the person she's become. "Who are you trying to be? My stepfather?" she asks.

Bill corners Rick at Cedars and demands to know where Phillip is. The doctor claims he has no idea and wonders why someone who hates him so much would want to know. Bill is sure that only Phillip can save Lizzie. Rick doesn't understand why Bill wants to help Lizzie in light of the way he's treated. Bill admits that he's hurt her but worries that only her father has a shot at helping her now. Rick reminds him that Phillip's been an absent father for a long time and walks away.
Bill finds Cyrus at a bar and demands to know where Lizzie is. Cyrus tells him that he's already blown it with her.

Lizzie sees Bill walking Roxy. He approaches and tells her that he's just walking his dog, explaining that he took her in. "Have you been drinking? You smell terrible," she says, angry that Lillian let him have her dog. She walks away.

Rick goes to see Beth and Peyton at the mansion. He tells her that he misses talking to her and that Bill is searching for Phillip. Beth is livid at the thought. Rick thinks she should reach out to her daughter. Beth can't do that; she's part of the problem. She confesses that she's been seeing Coop. "Little Coop?" he asks in disbelief. Beth begs him to say something supportive. "He's younger than Alan," is all that he can come up with. She knows how angry Lizzie is, but she thinks that she's really angry at Bill. It feels like she is shutting down. Rick admits that he still doubts that Bill loves Lizzie, but Beth is sure he does.

At Company, Frank practices asking Nat out again. Buzz teases him and pushes him to try harder. Frank drinks and finally gives in. Buzz stands and watches. Frank asks for some privacy. Coop arrives and asks Frank how he can track when Alan flies back into town. Frank is confused. Coop tells him that he's been having an affair with Beth. "We need to talk," Frank says. Coop doesn't want a lecture. They drink as Buzz sweeps and becomes exhausted. He can't rest with all of this going on, he declares. Suddenly, he collapses. His sons run to him. He tells them that he only wants them happy. Frank offers to save Coop from himself.

Natalia and Olivia go home. She checks her messages and tells Olivia that Frank has asked her out. She decides to go. Olivia tells her that she's glad everything has been straightened out. "Me too," Nat says, leaving. Olivia stares off and then eats takeout alone.

Cyrus finds Lizzie sitting in her car. She talks about Roxy. He tells her that she doesn't have to go to Alan. She worries that she can't be as hard as her grandfather. She almost caved when she saw Bill before. Cyrus is sure that Alan must be haunted by his mistakes too. Lizzie worries that she will never be over Bill.

Frank brings Nat to Company. He reveals that he's set up a picnic for them on the floor. She laughs. They kiss. Buzz walks by the window and spots them. He smiles and then sits down, exhausted.
Coop and Beth make out in the park.
Bill returns to his room and finds a note with a tip about Phillip.
