Billy and Reva have a surprise. Things come to a head at Tammy's party. It may be too late for Ava.
Reva takes Billy's ring out and tries it on. When Billy catches her looking at it, he tells her that it looks good. It's stuck on her finger so he says they should take it for a test drive. She still hasn't given an answer to his proposal because there is something they 'need to do together first.' She calls Cassie and invites her and Josh to dinner, an idea which Billy finds somewhat appalling. Reva says she needs to do this and that, while 'I don't know how to make peace, I know how to order a meal.'
Cassie drags Josh to Tammy's magazine party between fresh kisses. When they get there, she congratulates Tammy and tells her the news about her and Josh finally being together with Reva's blessing. Tammy is happy to hear it and says that this proves that 'even the most impossible couples can make it.' When Cassie and Josh turn away from Tammy however, they are confronted with Jonathan who agrees to play nice for the sake of everybody, even though the sight of Josh with Cassie makes him 'want to smash my head into a brick wall.' After he walks off, Cassie checks her messages and gets Reva's invitation to dinner. She realizes that they need to go, even though Josh is reluctant. When they arrive at Billy's apartment, everyone tries to put on their happy faces and own up to the fact that they're all family and need to get along. Josh says that he saw Jonathan earlier and they were civil to each other. Reva is happy to hear this, just in case he needs them in the future when she goes on '...um...vacation.' She then changes the subject and admits that the whole situation is awkward, but they need to get over it. She offers Josh a drink, but spills it on him. Reflexively she begins to clean him up only to stop herself and get out of the way for Cassie. The dinner party continues, but Reva finds it increasingly difficult and has to excuse herself for a moment. She goes out in the hallway and Billy follows her. He tells her that it's still not too late to tell them. Reva agrees that it is time, but she will need his support all the way (not that she needs to ask). When they enter back into the room, she announces to Josh and Cassie that she and Billy are engaged. This, needless to say, completely stuns them. After a moment of silence, Cassie congratulates them and offers a toast. Reva and Josh try to muster a smile at each other.
After the couples part, Billy promises Reva that he will make her happy, she confesses that, in the beginning, he was the last person she would have told about the situation, but Jonathan knew better and convinced her to go to him. He is the person she 'wants to spend the rest of my life with.' 'It's not true,' says Billy. 'But I'm glad you picked me anyway.' They embrace and Reva announces that they have to start packing right away: They are going to go to Las Vegas to 'get hitched' immediately. Meanwhile, Josh and Cassie have returned to his place, still surprised by the engagement. Josh doesn't want to talk about it anymore though; he has other plans. He goes downstairs to get a bottle of wine while Cassie picks her keys off the floor. When she does this, she finds a scrap of paper caught in them. It is one of Reva's medication slips.
Jonathan and Lizzie are prepping for Tammy's party. Lizzie prods him for compliments and reassurance that she doesn't look fat, but he can only talk about Tammy and how frustrating it is that he can't 'really be with her tonight.' When leaving, Jonathan hands Dr. Baker half of his sandwich, telling him that he imagines he's hungry from stalking them all day. He turns to Lizzie and explains that the sandwich is filled with laxatives, 'he's been a pain in my butt for weeks, it's time to pay him back.' This should keep the evening clear for he and Tammy. Remy picks Tammy up, giving her a gaudy 80's style corsage and tells her that she could 'use a friend tonight.' At the party, they spend most of their time together. Jonathan is aghast to see Remy's arm around her. It doesn't help when Lizzie tells him that Tammy looks like she's 'really over him.' This is enough to force Jonathan to confront Remy, telling him to back off of Tammy, a threat met by the pointed question: 'if she's with you, who's with your wife?' Lizzie continues her previous line when Jonathan returns to her side, pointing out how Tammy and Remy look so comfortable with his family. Together they look like a sitcom family: 'happy, healthy, perfect.' Jonathan, staring at Rick, assures her that 'no one is perfect.' Tammy is then called up to give a speech where she thanks Remy for his help and gives him a hug. Jonathan is utterly disgusted. 'They're a family of hypocrites,' he says glaring over at Rick and Mel. At this point, Mel is telling Rick that she believes they are entering a new chapter in their lives and she needs to start forgiving him. She knows she can do this now, she says, because of his loyalty and devotion to her. Moments later, Rick is threatening Jonathan, informing him that, if he tells anyone about his affair with Beth, he will make him 'very sorry.' These threats are not appreciated by Jonathan, even as Rick continues to challenge him to tell everyone right there and then, just so 'he can show Tammy what sort of man he really is.'
Lizzie tells Remy that she's glad to see him with Tammy because 'now she's all alone.' Something that Remy seems happy to hear. Jonathan and Tammy manage to escape to the roof for some time alone. As they make out, a camera flashes and they turn around. It's Alan, gleefully proclaiming: 'Caught you.'
Ava has been captured by Gillespie just as the man who adopted Olivia's baby tells her that the baby's adopted name was 'Ava Peralta.' Olivia is horrified and tells Buzz that he has to go away, they need a break. As he walks away, she flashes back to giving birth and tries to tell herself that Ava can't really be her daughter. She breaks into Coop and Ava's room and searches around before putting Ava's scrapbook in her bag just before Coop returns to ask her what she's doing there. She tells him that she is just checking the plumbing, an answer he doesn't really buy, but she quickly moves out of the room. Once in the hallway, she flips through the scrapbook, recognizing that the parents there are the same as those in the photo she had of the adoptive parents. She also realizes that baby Ava looked almost identical to Emma. She flies into a panic and tries to get in contact with Ava or Gillespie, but neither of them are reachable. She goes after Coop desperately and rambles about how she needs to apologize to Ava and that he needs to find her right away and get in touch with her immediately. She calls Frank and tells him to track down Gillespie because he has been blackmailing her. When they get to Gillespie's door, she sends Frank off to get her bag, Gillespie opens the door and lets her in. She wants him to stop everything, but 'it's too late,' he says. Ava 'went down fighting.'
Next on GL: Frank has questions for Olivia. Alan is going to take Lizzie from Jonathan. Cassie gets closer to Reva's secret.
