Jonathan and Lizzie have a night out. Reva and Josh come out of the garage. Remy and Tammy have dinner.
Jonathan is putting together a crib for the baby while Lizzie tries out baby names, all of which he refuses since they'll make the baby sound 'like a stripper.' He's clearly frustrated by more than this however and confesses that, if he doesn't see Tammy soon 'I'm gonna kill someone.' After a shower, Jonathan is tired of being inside and decides that, since Alan is out of town, it would be safe for him to sneak around. Lizzie says that's a bad idea, but he doesn't listen. Once he has entered the hallway, he finds someone spying on him. He grabs him and is about to punch him through the doorway when Lizzie stops him, pulling him aside and kissing him. She tells the spy that he can tell Alan that that is all he's getting from them. They leave together and wander around town in search of ice cream. While drifting, they spot the guy who was spying on them. Jonathan is about to run after him when Lizzie grabs him for another kiss. Jonathan pushes her away and tells her that that sort of thing is not helping. To his chagrin, she tells him that 'maybe, I'm just doing it for myself.' She goes on to tell him that she needs affection and she hasn't gotten much since he got her pregnant. He tells her he'll pat her on the head once and awhile and not to worry: Once the baby's born, he can baby-sit and she can go on dates. She'll get plenty of boys because she's got lots of money. They decide to head back and she goes over to the ice cream stand where the spy is standing. She hands him some money and tells him to keep close so that Jonathan will continue to feel like he's being watched.
Remy has brought Tammy to dinner with his family, but for the moment none of them are anywhere to be seen. She tries to sneak a call to Jonathan. He is in the shower so, when it rings, and Lizzie sees it's Tammy, she doesn't answer it or tell him. Tammy disappointedly puts the phone down and Remy takes it away from her for awhile. She thought he'd be waiting by the phone. Then, Mel and Leah appear and they put Tammy and Remy on salad duty as they prepare the meal together. At meal's end, Tammy confides that she hasn't felt this kind of warmth since Richard was alive. When Remy takes her back to her room, she eagerly checks her e-mail for news from Jonathan, but finds none. Instead, she finds a note from her professor who says that the essay she sent him was so good, he wants to publish it. Excitedly, she leaps from her seat and her lips meet with Remy's. She pulls away and tries to make excuses for what just happened. Remy however, says that he's been thinking about doing that for a long time. Then he points out how well she's doing without Jonathan in her life and how she has a chance to be happy again. He doesn't pressure her about it though, and leaves.
Billy is sitting alone and asks a grumpy Olivia to keep him company. They have a grudging conversation, wherein Billy admits that they have more in common than they suspect and offers concern over what's been happening in her life. Olivia is calmer than she's been for quite a while. He tells her that she has a habit of making things harder for herself than she needs to. She agrees and tells him that she is now going to try her best to simplify her life.
While Reva and Josh are trapped underground, they begin dancing. This quickly escalates into a kiss. She breaks away and stares at him for a moment, shaking her head, but they can't resist and go on kissing until we hear Cassie, just outside the garage, calling Josh's name. They are embarrassed and confused, but break apart. Josh goes to the opening and reveals that Reva is there with him and that they've been trapped there for some time. He asks Cassie to go and get some help so that the gate can be opened. Once she has gone, he turns to Reva and asks her 'what just happened?' She bluntly responds that 'nothing happened.' He doesn't accept this and tells her that 'it did happen and I'm glad,' but then goes on to explain that this 'is a good thing because it was saying goodbye.' Then they go through the script they've made so much of, while Reva details that she really wants him with Cassie, that this is for the best. Cassie appears again with help and the gate opens as she proclaims that they are now 'free.' She immediately asks Reva what she is doing there and gets a rather meek response in the form of 'trying to help look for Josh', but then breaks into a rant about how she is dying; about how she should have told them before because, maybe then, everything would be different; about how she will never see her children grow older; about having to keep the cancer to herself and go it alone; about being betrayed by the two people who meant the most to her in the world. But this entire screed has only been in her head and, weakly, she excuses herself and vanishes, leaving Cassie and Josh somewhat baffled.
Right away, Josh tells Cassie everything that just happened between him and Reva, assuring her that it was just their way of 'letting go.' Cassie doesn't take this well and runs off. He catches up with her. She says she won't be in a relationship where she has to watch her back like this. He says she won't have to because all that the incident in the garage did, he repeats, is settle things for good and clarify to him that he really wants to be with her. She believes him, or wants to, and tells him that the one thing she learned most from Reva was never to be afraid. They embrace and look up at the full moon. She finally tells him that she loves him 'completely' and he returns the vow.
Reva has returned to Billy and tells him everything that happened, breaking down at the end and admitting that she still loves Josh. She talks about making her relationship with Billy real now, not just for show. He tells her that he doesn't want to take Josh's place in her heart, that he hoped he already had his own place there. She confesses that, when she was in Josh's arms, she forgot that she was sick. Billy earnestly tells her that he can help her forget too, if she'll let him.
The episode ends with a lengthy montage of a lonely Tammy lying in bed with her phone and caressing the locket Jonathan gave her; of Remy fantasizing about Tammy; of Lizzie fantasizing about Jonathan and Reva and Billy kissing before they lay down on the bed.
