Lizzie and Jonathan get closer. Josh and Reva relive old times. Things get worse for Olivia.
Ava gets into an elevator followed by Gillespie as he utters the words: 'This must be my lucky day.' She gets nervous by his presence and tries to get off the elevator by claiming that her husband needs her, but Gillespie bars her exit and says that 'he will have to wait.' He suspiciously reaches into his pockets and tells her that he will need her help fixing his broken door (a rather terrible excuse). Just then, Olivia calls him and tells him to cease, which he agrees to while she breathes a sigh of relief. After telling her to have a nice day, he leaves the terrified Ava in the elevator.
Olivia searches for Frank only to be stopped by the DA. They get into a heated exchange win which the DA tells her that she plans to have her put away for attempted murder. Olivia has a slip up when she blurts out that she 'doesn't want to kill anyone' and begins to speak to herself about how much her little girl needs her. She tells the DA that this is 'insane', but Buzz interrupts before things can intensify. Olivia is surprised that he has come back and asks him if he's changed his mind. When he's not forthcoming with an answer, she tells him that she can survive on her own. Buzz says that he doesn't doubt that but, 'what's the point of surviving if you stand alone?' Just then, we see Ava rush into the station to report a 'shady character' to the officer on duty. Olivia rushes to her, exclaiming 'thank God you're alright!' Ava backs away from her, appalled at her concern and still, obviously, not about to let recent events slide. Olivia is furious at this and angrily declaims 'this is the thanks I get for saving your life.' Ava tells Buzz to ask her about the man she sent after him but Olivia is already fed up and tries to leave. Buzz chases after and tells her that Emma's principal called him because she was concerned about Emma's home life. This only makes things worse and she exclaims that everyone is trying to take her baby away from her. He returns to Ava, readying herself to sign the police complaint against Olivia. He asks her why she's hesitating and she asks him if he thinks she's guilty. Buzz can only say that he knows that she is at her breaking point.
Olivia meets with Gillespie and hands him his money. He thinks that it is a little light, but she assures him that it is only a 'deposit' and that she may need his services later. Meanwhile, the man who adopted her baby leaves a message on her phone since he finally remembered the baby's new last name: Peralta.
Lizzie and Jonathan are busy packing up all of their belongings. They are moving into a penthouse so that they can have some distance from Tammy (to keep the illusion alive and stifle temptation). He continues to check his phone messages for any sign from Tammy while Lizzie reminds him that, in their new place, she won't constantly be in his way. While Jonathan grudgingly tosses his clothes in a bag, a few floors below Tammy tries to comfort herself by saying that the move is a good thing and that it's 'not forever.' When she walks out to the balcony, she discovers a golden heart-shaped locket hanging down for her and her face lights up. She rushes downstairs to find Jonathan carrying moving boxes into the hallway. He asks her if she got the locket and she shows it hanging around her neck. She then produces a present for him: A gold watch which he can use to count the seconds until the baby is born. They embrace, but Lizzie quickly pries them apart and Tammy lonely walks away. Later, once Tammy has returned to her room, she eagerly jumps at a knock at the door only to find Remy behind it. Joy evacuates from her features. He says that he's not surprised by the reaction: He knows who she was expecting, but he offers to help her with her homework anyway. After a languid afternoon, he invites her to have dinner with his family and she, to his surprise, accepts.
When Lizzie and Jonathan have begun to settle into their new penthouse, she tells him that they ought to have a house-warming party, but he is none-too-amused at the suggestion. He tells her to stop pushing him and trying to make the situation into more than it is. Lizzie bursts into tears at this and he tells her, again, to stop because 'it's not good for the baby.' Their arguments continue until he calms her with a foot massage and they begin to wonder what their child will be like. Jonathan says that they're from different planets. Lizzie adds that they both come from screwed up families. Jonathan tells her that 'maybe two broken people can produce one thing that's whole.' They spend the day together eating pickles and ice cream, talking to the baby until Jonathan confides that Tammy was the best thing that ever happened to him, but, maybe now, the baby will be.
Harley discovers Cassie worrying and waiting for Josh who has yet to appear. Harley warns her again that Josh is a 'one woman man' and Cassie rebuts her by claiming: 'Yes, I am the woman.' Cassie tries to convince Harley that things are really different now because Josh and Reva have signed divorce papers. This leaves Harley unimpressed, but Cassie just becomes more excited about finding Josh and the two of them rush off to look. They go all the way to Josh's house, but he is nowhere to be found. Harley gives up and heads off. Cassie continues to look, finally running into Billy who is surprised that she isn't with Josh. She demands to know where he is and he tells her that she can find him in the parking garage.
Josh and Reva are still trapped underground in the parking garage. They try their phones but they can't get a signal. She tries to get some distance from him and tells him that he shouldn't be there with her. He asks her what she's afraid of. Reva avoids answering and wanders back exclaiming that 'no good deed goes unpunished' to a perplexed Josh. They try to have a conversation to pass the time, but only on the grounds that there be 'no regrets and no finger-pointing.' As their dialogue becomes more comfortable, she continues to say to herself that he should be with Cassie right now. Then a beeping starts to emit from her purse. A suspicious Josh grabs it and digs out a medical alert button that she uses to remind her when to take her medication. He begins to quiz her on why she has this. Her only response is that it's because she has 'menopausal issues' and he doesn't press it anymore. In fact, this makes him feel old and he eagerly asks for a nail file so he can try to pick the lock and get them out. As she hands it to him, she nearly faints and falls into his arms. Embarrassed, she says 'I used to be so graceful.' Josh laughs and says no, 'you used to move well.' They sit back on the car and begin to reminisce about going dancing when they were younger. She turns on the radio and asks him to dance 'for old time's sake.' He can't resist. Soon, their lips brush together and they kiss.
