While appearing on CBS at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Gina Tognoni (Dinah Marler-Mallet) shocked her co-stars Mandy Bruno (Marina Cooper) and Marcy Rylan (Lizzie Spaulding) by revealing that she had just become engaged. After arriving on the set to talk with Dave Price, his co-host, Hanna Storm, quickly revealed that Ms Tognoni would soon need to be changing her last name to Chairello. She then revealed that her boyfriend popped the question to her the previous evening and flashed her ring for the cameras to see. When asked, she explained that her beau is not an actor, or even in show business, he's in the insurance business in New Jersey.

The thirty-four year old Tognoni, a former Miss Rhode Island Teen and Miss Rhode Island Teen All-American joined the cast on Guiding Light in 2004 and won a Daytime Emmy for the role of Dinah in 2006.
