Doris tells him about Remy getting arrested over beating up Grady and about Ava being with him. Bill thinks if it was important, Ava would have told him, but he is obviously surprised and upset.

Doris and Ashlee meet in the park for tea. Ashlee explains that she and Coop have been drifting apart. Ashlee can't help but think about how she was so excited about being with a guy like Coop, that she had to prove that she deserved it. Doris says she saw commitment in Coop's eyes at the surgery, and believes he is in it for the long haul. Ashlee feels better and leaves to go talk to Coop.
