I'm Glad That you Came to me.

    Thursday, May 15 2008

Ashlee tracks Olivia down in the hallway at The Beacon and offers to give her a drive. Afterwards, Ashlee goes to the gym. Doris finds her there and suggests that she's pushing herself too hard. Ashlee starts ranting at her, saying that her mother should be proud of her; she just wants to be normal and she's changing in a good way. Her manic behavior worries her mother, but Ashlee fobs her off and continues exercising.

As Ashlee walks down Main Street, she runs into Dinah and asks her for a job at the station. Dinah promptly hires her and asks her for a photo of her mother. Ashlee quickly provides her with everything she asks for and Dinah suggests that she looks great and should look for a career on air. After editing together the material, Dinah hurries over to Towers and shows Doris the video she made of her. Doris is impressed by how flattering it is. Dinah tells her that there are actually two versions. When she shows her the second, far less pleasant version, Doris grimaces. She guesses that Dinah must want something. Dinah offers to give Ashlee a job and air the first video as long as Doris quashes Jeffrey's investigation of corruption on the police force. Doris agrees.

At his office, Jeffrey settles an agreement that will spare him working a grueling trial. Doris comes in and mocks him as he dances around the office. She tells him that he will be getting some more spare time soon. She asks him to put down the letter opener before she informs him that she's assigned someone else to look after the investigation into Alan's finances. He's surprisingly happy at the news and smiles as he pulls on his jacket. Before he can leave, she asks him if they are still making a movie about Reva and suggests that they look for someone more impressive. He assumes she's talking about herself and tells her that they can only remake Godzilla so many times. Jeffrey runs into Ava in the hall and asks her how she is doing. She tells him that Bill is coming along slowly.

Coop arrives to check in on Ashlee. She feels like taking a walk but he thinks she should stay in bed and look at the exercise and nutrition program she'll be on. She asks him if he sees a difference. It's a little soon, but she feels like there's been a change. Now it feels like her life is beginning again. When he walks into the hall, Doris is waiting with flowers. Coop warns her but she hurries in to check on her daughter, giving her flowers and a hug. She quizzes her daughter about everything and worries while Coop paces the hall. Blake keeps calling him but he ignores the calls. He soon returns to the Wolfe women and they discuss Ashlee's air bubble. Doris offers to stay and look after Ashlee but Coop insists that he's cleared his schedule to take care of her. Doris leaves. "That was actually almost fun," Ashlee comments. As he and Ashlee go through the music mixes he's made for her, Blake keeps calling. Coop is frustrated by being hounded into photoshoots and interviews. She tells him that he needs to go and be a star; they can be together later. She pushes him out.

Doris leaves Company after chatting with Buzz. Ashlee walks in to talk to him next. She tells him that she went to Coop's photo shoot and stood by a table full of food. Looking at the food, she got freaked out and had to run away. She misses food and wishes she could be stronger. Buzz gives her a hug and Coop walks in. Buzz tells him to take care of his woman. She tells Coop what happened and he tells her that she's just feeling overwhelmed. She's never felt so abnormal, she admits. He tells her that she's perfect and reminds her that she knew that going into this wouldn't be easy.

    You're Nothing Like him

    Monday, April 14 2008

Ashlee and Coop wake up in bed together. She goes into the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror before he joins her. They get dressed and she tells him how wonderful last night was. Now, she's ready to have the operation. Coop confesses that he blames himself for this and imagines that he hasn't shown her that he loves her enough. She tells him to drive her to the hospital. He takes her to Cedars and helps her fill out some forms. She starts to cry as she tells him that she didn't tell her mother about the surgery; Doris would have seen it as a cop- out, she explains. The doctor walks in and Coop asks him questions but Ashlee insists that she knows the answers and tells Coop that she's ready. "You can't look at this as some sort of scary thing. It's good and adventurous," she insists. Climbing into a wheelchair, she starts to cry and he kisses her, promising to be there when she wakes up. The doctor wheels her off to surgery as Doris runs in, calling after her daughter.

    You're Back.

Alan wakes up in the guest house and pulls on his robe. As he goes to the washroom for a shower, he runs into Ava. She averts her gaze and tells him that she's sorry for his loss. He tells her that, though his position at Spaulding is vague right now, he will soon be back on top. She informs him that she has to resign as his assistant. Downstairs, Doris sits at Company. Alan comes down and she tells him that he's a mess. She offers to buy him breakfast, but he won't eat it since she has helped to cost him his money and his home. She advises him not to take things so personally. She just takes whatever offer is best at the time. He warns her that he will be back on top one day. She's willing to take that chance. "Once I found you so attractive..." she shrugs, walking out.

Doris arrives in her daughter's room to take her out to dinner. Doris talks about what a broken man Alan is. When she spots the pamphlets on the surgery, she's shocked. When Ashlee tells her she's not doing it anymore, Doris is thrilled, hugging her and telling her that she's perfect; she's the girl everyone can trust and who is always around. Ashlee is angered by this. Her mother reminds her that being thin would only put more pressure on her and being under pressure isn't good. "You shoot people under pressure," she reminds her.

    The Honorable Scoundrel

    Thursday, March 27 2008

Lizzie and Bill go up to his room and he offers her some closet space, telling her that he couldn't fight his feelings for her, no matter how much he tried. He's tired of fighting with her and gives her a room key. Later, Lizzie goes to the mansion and finds the police tape everywhere. She calls her mother to ask what her granddad did and starts to bag her belongings. After she walks out and down the street, she runs into Doris who explains the situation and says that Phillip was behind it all.

Doris is at the court house talking on the phone when Jeffrey shows up. He tells her that he needs someone to perform a wedding...today, for him. She's shocked but agrees. He gets dressed and searches around for a ring, pulling one from a lamp and kissing his picture of Reva. "If anyone understands why I'm doing this, it would be you," he says.
