    He Never Made It.

    Wednesday, July 08 2009

Lizzie hunts down her brother and demands an apology. He doesn't see the point because she wouldn't believe it anyway. Everyone thinks he's a screw up so he might as well enjoy it, he argues. She un-invites him to the wedding and tells him to grow up. After Lizzie and Bill leave, Lillian arrives to check in on him and suggests they have a family basketball game. After she leaves, Phillip arrives and tells his son that he is going to the wedding even if he doesn't want to. He orders him to go and see his sister, apologize and then act like the perfect brother. James thinks he must not have been given the Spaulding rule book and he doesn't know how to follow them. "I want us to be able to love each other!" Phillip shouts, James doesn't need it. His father does. James can't see how it would ever work, just as it's never worked between Alan and Phillip.

Lizzie goes into the minimart and sits down with Christina to talk about the wedding. Christina tells her how lucky she is. After Lizzie leaves, Bill comes in and chats with Christina about the wedding. He wants to get it over with before something terrible happens.

Lizzie goes to the station and gets Frank to sign off on a permit for the ceremony. She begs him not to arrest anyone for the bar fight. As she walks out, she bumps into Remy and begins to ramble about the wedding. Once she's gone, Bill comes by looking for her. Remy tells him not to break Lizzie's heart like he did to Ava. Bill claims this is completely different.

Lizzie runs into her father in the park. He admits that he just re-invited her brother to the wedding. He wants them all to make it a beautiful day for her. He offers to see what he can do to get Alan to attend as well. As she walks through the park, Bill finds her and they go over everything they've done that day. "We're getting married tomorrow," she declares enthusiastically.

    Escape From The Yammering Yahoos.

    Monday, July 06 2009

In their room, Bill and Lizzie kiss and tell each other how amazing they are for getting nearly all of their wedding plans taken care of. He wonders why she looks worried. "I'm afraid my family will screw this up," she admits. Beth shows up and Billy follows. They split up the couple to take them out for the day.

Beth brings her daughter over to Company for a little party with Vanessa, Lillian and Alex. They start drinking and toasting to Lizzie and true love. They put a tiara on Lizzie as Reva and Ashlee arrive. Alex begins playing 'pin the banana' on a poster of Bill's face pasted on a muscleman's body. After the games, Lizzie asks Vanessa what she should get Bill. Vanessa says that she makes him happy and that's enough. Bill calls to tell her that he's partied out and arranges to meet her at the beach.

"You're right, I shouldn't have come," James says as he walks out of the bar and into his father. He's flippant and walks off. Phillip goes in as Alan ices his jaw and everyone shouts. Frank walks in as Phillip sends his father out. Bill walks out and fills Lizzie in on what happened. Alan approaches her and tells her it's not too late to 'escape the yammering yahoos'. She refuses. He announces that he's done with her and won't be going to her wedding.

    The Last Bauer Barbecue.

    Thursday, July 02 2009

Rafe and Daisy watch as Frank hoists the flag at the station. They go over to the Bauers' where Blake is mocking Rick as he cleans his grill. Bill and Lizzie arrive and warn that no one will beat them at the three legged race. Rick tries making out with Blake but she bats him away. Rafe tells Frank how weird it will be for him to see his mom with Olivia today.

Bill watches Lizzie and tells Phillip how beautiful she is. Phillip is happy she has someone who loves her so much. She comes over to declare herself the 'Queen of Croquet'.

    Everything's Going To Be Okay.

    Tuesday, June 30 2009

Lizzie shows up at Company and tells Buzz that she will be doing all of the cooking for the wedding. He's sure that she doesn't know how. She made a casserole once and thinks she just needs some practice. Christina and Ashlee come in and offer to help her out. As the three women begin mixing batter, Phillip arrives. Lizzie gives him an apron and tells him to start stirring. When he protests, she smears flour on his cheeks. A flour fight breaks out. Phillip laughs and thanks his daughter. "I can't tell you how much I needed this," he says. She tells him that she's finally excited about the future. Lillian arrives and Buzz gets everyone to work cleaning. Phillip tells Lillian he wants to spend the time he has left with the people he loves.
