At the station, Frank gives Mallet the forms that he wants Dinah to fill out. He tells him that they won't press for big charges but they have to follow protocol. Mallet stutters as Frank orders a car to pick Dinah up. Mallet cancels it and says that he needs to check the story because Dinah could be covering for someone. Frank agrees to wait. Marina arrives. Mallet takes her aside and apologizes profusely. "I never should have suspected you," he admits. He's been a fool and wants to make it up to her. She's says she'll see him at home and walks out.

Dinah startles Mallet outside the station. She's come to confess. She wants to go somewhere where she can't hurt people anymore. "We can fix this," he offers. She claims that she has told Shayne and he's told everyone else. "I'm a screwup and I need to be somewhere I can't hurt the people I care about," she insists. He tries to talk her out of this but she can't live there anymore. They sit in his car and he tells her that she is going to disappear to another country. He can get her to the border; he'd rather know she was free somewhere than rotting on jail. She agrees but she needs to say some goodbyes first.

Mallet brings Dinah to the heliport and sees her off.

    It Was All Lies!

    Tuesday, August 04 2009

Dinah corners Mallet and confesses to the killing. He doesn't believe it. She's sick of watching Marina suffer and can't do this to his family anymore. She tells him about what happened and how she didn't want anyone to pay for her mistakes, but watching him turn on his own wife has been too much for her. If he is going to turn someone in, it should be her. He declares the conversation over and tells her that he is burying this. Frank stands nearby and overhears this. Dinah can't believe that he is letting her go after he turned on his own wife over it. Mallet tells her to go and be with her husband. Shayne arrives. Mallet congratulates them again and tells them to get going.

When Mallet gets home, he finds the smashed picture on the floor. Marina asks him if got a warrant to arrest her. He apologizes for doubting her; he should have believed in her more. He'd like to find a way to work things out. So would she. "What changed your mind? Dinah?" she asks. As they clean up, Frank arrives and asks to speak to Mallet alone. When she leaves, he confronts Mallet about the confession. Mallet claims he had to check out the story first before doing anything. Frank orders him to arrest Dinah tomorrow.

    Facing Up.

    Monday, August 03 2009

At home, Mallet looks at the paperwork for the trust fund which Edmund set up. He hides it, wondering when Marina will stop lying to him. When she comes downstairs, she's relieved that they are going to have a fresh start. He makes some pointed statements about telling each other everything but they go over her head.

The guests are gathering at the courthouse. As Marina and Christina talk about Henry, Remy and Mallet talk about Marina. Mallet shows him the trust fund papers and wonders why Marina is keeping this from him. He's scared of what else she could be hiding from him. They walk outside as the bride and groom arrive. Everyone greets and hugs them before they file inside. Lizzie and Bill arrive last.

Mallet paces around the party. Remy thinks he should go home. Mallet wants Marina to come clean with him. When he walks over to her, he says they should put some money away for Henry. She agrees. He tells her to come outside with him. When they get there, he sticks the trust fund papers in her face and demands some answers. She admits that she didn't burn them because it could be worth something. "I don't think you're capable of telling the truth," he says. She can't believe that he still doesn't trust her and accuses him of ruining any chance they have to be a family. Crying, she runs off. Remy comes out. Mallet tells him what just happened and admits that he can't trust Marina about anything. He's not even sure he can trust her around his child. "I don't get why she would let so many innocent people suffer," he says. Dinah eavesdrops on this from the nearby roof.

As Mallet walks to the station, Dinah corners him and tells him to stop. She can't let him turn in Marina. "She did not kill that John Doe. I did," she confesses.
