At Company, the family nervously watches Buzz as they prepare things for the day. Marina wonders if Buzz will run. Frank is sure he will stay. He's called Lucy and Rocky but they can't make it. Marina confesses that she isn't handling this well and Mallet has practically moved into the station.

Buzz walks outside and runs into Beth. He pushes past her. She goes upstairs to Coop's room. As she sits, Lillian walks in and lets her daughter cry on her shoulder. When she goes downstairs, Frank asks her if she's really left Alan and worries that he might take things out on Buzz. Beth is sure that Alan will seek revenge on her instead. "No matter what happens, we are in this together," she tells him.

At the mansion, Alan is disturbed to learn that Lizzie is going to the memorial. "He was my first love," she says. "He was your mother's last love," Alan snipes. She thinks the family needs to be represented at the memorial. He thinks she should come and see her father with him. She rolls her eyes and agrees to see him eventually.

Buzz walks to Coop's old classroom and looks around. He sits at his son's desk and flips through his workbooks until two of his students come in. They tell him how cool Coop was and how he made them think of new things. Buzz smiles.

At home, Mallet calls around to adoption agencies, but doesn't seem to be having much luck. He heads over to Company and finds Marina sadly staring, nearly expecting her uncle to return.

Ashlee and Daisy go to the mini mart to buy tissues. Ashlee sobs and asks where Grady is. Daisy says they can go without him. Before they can leave, Grady arrives. Daisy is cool with him as they walk out.

Buzz returns to Company and sits outside with Lillian. He asks her to look out for his kids better than he has. She hopes they can get through this. "I don't know if I want to," he whispers. As they walk inside, Ashlee, Grady and Daisy arrive and watch them. Ashlee talks about how Coop was her first love. Grady wants to pay his respects to the family. Daisy tells Ashlee to go ahead inside. After she goes in, Daisy ushers Grady from the door and over to the funeral home. Inside, Ashlee hugs Buzz. Lizzie arrives and gives him a hug too, telling him that she loved his son a lot. She takes her mother by the arm and they walk out.

At Cross Creek, Jeffrey tells Reva that he just informed his daughter about Coop. He worries if Reva will be able to handle the memorial and her chemo session all in one day. She worries that the chemo didn't take. Jeffrey is sure the doctors know what they are doing.

At the jail, a guard suggests to Phillip that he's a hero for rescuing Coop. "I'm not," Phillip insists. Alan arrives and tells his son that Lizzie is very confused. Phillip wishes he could help. Alan wonders what his son's plans are and hates to see him locked up. He's hired a lawyer to get him out. Then they can start their 'healing process'. Phillip suggests he try healing things with Buzz. Alan says things change in the world, but the Coopers still blame them for all of their miseries. He commends his son for selflessly helping Coop but he was going out of his way to humiliate him. Alan is furious to think of everyone laughing behind his back. "He took from me Phillip, the most precious thing in my life," he groans. The guard tells him that his time is up. Alan tells his son that they will work things out when he gets home. Phillip shakes his head.

Phillip meets with his lawyer. He offers to do whatever the DA wants, but he wants something in return.

Josh greets the family at the funeral home. Reva and Jeffrey arrive. She and Josh have both been thinking a lot about Shayne and the landmine. Meanwhile, Frank greets people at the door. Blake arrives, unhappy. Buzz stares sorrowfully through the window. At the edge of the lawn, Daisy admits to Grady that she doesn't want him there since she knows it will upset the family. A year ago, Gus died. Two years before that, it was Tammy. She assures him that they are good, but she has to put things right with her family. He walks away.

The service begins. Josh hopes that people will join him to speak. Everyone is silent. Beth walks up. "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to be the person he thought I could be," she says, vowing to live her life fully, without compromise. Frank comes up next and sadly speaks of how he didn't get to know his brother until it was too late. While he's speaking, Mallet's phone begins vibrating and he walks out. It's an adoption agency. They're rejecting his application. Mallet controls his upset and returns as Frank finishes. Marina stands at his side and helps him down as he cries.

Ashlee is the next up. She says that being with Coop was like being in a movie. He was her hero and she always thought their movie would end differently. She begins crying and sits down. Buzz comes up. He tells them how proud he was of his son. He wanted him to grow up with Jenna so that he could be more like her. Although he's thankful for every moment he had with him, he can't believe that there will be no more. "He's my son. He's gone. And there's nothing more to say," he intones.

After Josh helps him down, Lizzie comes to the front. Beth and Lillian look around nervously. She talks about how safe Coop made her feel. "It seems like this is my family's fault..." she starts. Alan arrives and orders her to stop. He proclaims that the family has nothing to be sorry about. "The fault lies with the people in this room, not my family," he says as Lizzie watches in horror. Beth tells him to get out. "You're not his widow," he bellows at her. He's sick of the Spauldings being blamed for everything. Buzz runs across the room to attack him, Frank and Josh try to hold him back as Phillip arrives with a police escort.

Reva and Jeffery go to Cedars to finish her chemo. He takes her hand and they anxiously wait.
