People always tell us how much they miss Grant Aleksander, the man who left an indelible mark on a beloved era of Guiding Light when he played Phillip Spaulding. While it's unlikely that Mr. Aleksander will be coming back, fans in New York will be able to get their fix when he appears on stage at the International Fringe Festival this year. The respected actor, director and animal rights activist will be taking to the stage along with fellow former soap star Laurence Lau (Another World, AMC) and Veronica Cruz (GL). They are all part of the cast of Night by award winning playwright Philip Gerson. The play tells the story of three couples from different generations who all find their lives intersecting over one bittersweet night in New York City. The Occasional Theatre will be giving the show its world premiere on Friday August 10th as part of the 11th annual New York International Fringe Festival.
Performances will be at the Connelly Theatre, 220 East 4th Street on Friday, August the10th at 9:30pm; Sunday, August the 19th at 2:15pm; Monday, August the 20th at 6:30pm; Wednesday, August the 22nd at 9:45pm; and Saturday, August the 25th at 4:15pm.
