Someone over at ABC seems to have a thing for Guiding Light. Three of the show's former cast members have been cast in an upcoming pilot for the new show Perfect Gentlemen set to premiere on June the 1st. The drama focuses on the lives of four chief executives, their families and loves. It shifts action between the bedroom, the boardroom and the golf club, displaying the sometimes peculiar and sometimes troubling antics of four men. Advanced hype around the project has already suggested that it might be the male version of Desperate Housewives.
GL alumni make up a substantial part of the female cast. Wendy Moniz, who played Dinah from 1995-1999, has been cast in the role of Stacey, the wife of the lead character (Michael Vartan). Paige Turco, who played Dinah Marler from 1987-1989 before moving on to AMC and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will play Lisbeth, the troubling ex-wife of Duncan Collinsworth (Dylan McDermott). And, last but not least, Nia Long will be appearing in the role of Katie Graham. Long played Katherine 'Kat' Speakes from 1991-1993 and has since appeared in many TV shows and films including Alfie and Boston Legal. The pilot filmed this March and ABC already has high expectations for it.
