Original Story (April 11th 2007)
You can meet stars from Guiding Light at this years annual Soapfest Celebrity Charity Weekend on the beautiful Macro Island in Southwest Florida. The events are being held for the benefit of the Eimerman Center of Naples, an outreach program for children with autism, and the Marco Island YMCA kids theater program. Expected to be in attendance this year are Jordan Clarke, Mandy Bruno and Michael O'Leary as well as actors from ATWT.
The festivities will begin on Saturday May 19th with, 'Night of the Stars', a special VIP event featuring celebrity guests available for a Q&A session, autographs, photos and some one on one time with fans. This event will also be catered by one of Naples' top chefs and tickets are expected to go fast. Later that night, you can attend the always popular Celebrity Bartender Bash at one of Marco Island's trendiest new bars. The stars won't just be pouring out drinks either, they'll also be taking part in a special Karaoke event. On Sunday, you can take a ride on the Marco Island Princess and spend your afternoon at the Cruisin' Boozin' & Schmoozin' With The Stars event. This promises the best opportunity to mingle while getting a great view of the gorgeous scenery and a chance to win prizes and take part in auctions. The auctions will include original artwork made by the actors, ticket packages for the Emmy's and lunch with one of your favorite performers.
