More deaths?

Updated August 15:

Soaps.com has learned that the Season 9 premiere episode of "Grey's Anatomy," which airs on Thursday September 27 at 9:00 PM will be entitled, "Going, Going, Gone." Also in Season 9 spoilers, expect a non-traditional wedding for Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Ben (Jason George).

Original article August 2:

In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "Grey's Anatomy" creator and head writer, Shonda Rhimes, hinted that there may be another death (or deaths) other than that of Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh). It was confirmed that Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Derek (Patrick Dempsey), and Christina (Sandra Oh) will survive. That means it's touch and go for other plane crash victims, Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Mark (Eric Dane). Eric Dane announced his departure from the show last week, but it hasn't been said how his character will be written out, only that he will appear in several episodes.

In the interview, Rhimes said "GA" will jump ahead in time for episode 1 - showing the characters a couple of months after the crash - with a return to the crash site aftermath beginning with episode 2. She also mentioned that some of the doctors will not be at Seattle Grace in the opener, Derek will be struggling without the use of his hand (which was injured in the crash), Christina may have PTSD issues again, we'll see Meredith dealing with the loss of her sister, April will continue her journey, and it will be a season of romance. Hmm!
