The Thursday May 3 episode of "Grey's Anatomy," will be entitled, "Let the Bad Times Roll," which suggests there may be drama for some of our favorite residents. According to the episode synopsis, Debbie Allen returns as Dr. Catherine Avery, and will break the news to Richard (James Picken Jr.) that one of the residents failed the boards. Also in the boards-related storyline, William Daniels appears as Christina's (Sandra Oh) proctor.
Incidentally, Kevin McKidd (Owen) directs this episode, which will also see Mark's (Eric Dane) girlfriend ask him to father her child, an operation on a patient who is missing a portion of their skull, and a good friend of Arizona's (Jessica Capshaw) turn up at Seattle Grace in need of medical assistance. Jordan Belfi’s guest appearance as a patient at the hospital also begins in this episode.
