Actress Loretta Devine received her first Emmy nomination recently for her portrayal of Adele Webber on "Grey's Anatomy." There were no other nods for the series this time around, but Loretta's nomination in the category of Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series is well-deserved. Adele began dealing with a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease in the last season. According to E! Online, Loretta stated, "I am so grateful and honored to be nominated. Working on "Grey's Anatomy" for the past few seasons has been a blessing and I have loved developing the character, Adele. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Shonda Rhimes and I want to thank her for keeping my character alive for all of these seasons."
