Actress Katherine Heigl, who played the popular role of Izzy on Grey's Anatomy, has signed on to replace Halle Berry in the upcoming Garry Marshall film, "New Year's Eve," which just began filming at the end of January. The film tells the story of several couples and singles in New York whose lives intertwine on New Year's Eve. The ensemble cast also includes Ashton Kutcher, Robert DeNiro, Sofie Vergara, Lea Michele, Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo DuPres, All My Children), Hilary Swank, Jessica Biel, Zac Efron, Michelle Pfeiffer, Abigail Breslin, Alyssa Milano, Sienna Miller, Sarah Jessica Parker, Jon Bon Jovi, Ryan Seacrest, and more. The movie is scheduled to debut in December of this year.
