Chyler Leigh, whose character Lexie Grey perished following a plane crash last season on "Grey's Anatomy," has landed a role as a plane crash survivor in NBC's new comedy, "Holding Patterns." According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leigh will play the part of Leah, an intelligent slacker, in the new show, which will be written and executive-produced by "The Office's" Justin Spitzer and will feature an ensemble cast. Leigh's character will be one of a group of friends whose lives totally change after they live through a plane crash.
