Original article October 11:

According to TV Line, actress Neve Campbell, best known for her role in the "Scream" movies and her stint as Julia Salinger on "Party of Five," has signed on to appear on "Grey's Anatomy" for multiple episodes. Campbell will be playing one of Dr. Derek Shepherd's (Patrick Dempsey) four sisters. We've previously seen two of Derek's sisters, Nancy (Embeth Davitz) and Amelia (Caterina Scarsone) who is a regular character on "GA's" sister show, "Private Practice." That means Campbell could be playing his sister Kathleen, a psychiatrist, who potentially could help him as he struggles with the ramifications of the serious hand injury he sustained in the plane crash, or Derek's fourth sibling who has never been named onscreen. Campbell will be on at least two episodes.
