Deadline is reporting that Jonathan Groff (Jesse St. James) has landed a series regular role in the second season of the Starz's drama "Boss." The actor will play Ian Todd, a new staffer who fills the void of the departing Ezra Stone (Martin Donovan).

"Boss" stars Kelsey Grammer ("Frasier") as ruthless Chicago mayor Tom Kane. The second season will also see Sanaa Lathan ("Contagion") join the cast as the Mayor's new chief of staff, who apparently becomes an obsession for Kane.
