Poodles - The prisons are loaded with just 18 year olds as well as 16 and 17 year olds. 16+ year olds are routinely charged as adults when crimes such as murder and attempted murder are involved. Right now a (I think) 12 or 13 year old is going to be charged as an adult for the murder of his stepmother.

I suspect that Diane would file for an immediate appeal as soon as the sentencing is complete. She would start working on it now and a preliminary filng ready for Friday. But it can take months to get a ruling on the appeal.

Olivia just makes my skin crawl sometimes. Sonny and his lifestyle are toxic, but being with Johnny is OK. Give me a break. It appears that young hunky mobster are OK.

Thanks Lil. I fine that reality very sad. I know murder is an awful crime and leaves such devastation for families and loved ones. I just don't think a 13 or 14 year old should be tried or treated as an adult.

Starlett: How did Olivia end up working at the Metro Court? And your right, she does seem like a foster mom to Johnny.

lil-Good post, I especially agree with the last paragraph. Michael is scared now and he's thinking he only has to stay in jail until Friday. Friday that scared is going to be magnified 100 times. I guess Carly, Sonny, Dante and Lulu didn't hear the GUILTY OF MANSLAUGHTER part. If Jason wants to kill Dante today, Friday he will really really want to kill him and Carly might help.

Carly dosent make since sometimes about luke! That is so diff. Glad Tracy deffended LULu somebody needed 2. Shame on Carly. I like her and I understand that she is upset but Carly should understand in the same situation if it was sonny she would be by his side. Of course she is always.

poodles-Jax hired Olivia because she helped him with some problem they were having. He was impressed with how she got to the root of the problem. Now she seems to be running the place. So maybe Jax won't allow Carly to fire her, but she can make working there really uncomfortable for her. Jax probably feels he owes Olivia since he didn't do anything to warn Dante when Michael told him Dante's cover was blown.

Well, today was a good episode and very heart-felt on Michael's part. Tracy was right but also had a ton of nerve blaming it all on Carly. The Quartermaines are insanely messed in the head just like the Corinthos family but Tracy was right about one thing, at least part of this is Carly's fault. Blind loyalty is dangerous. Well, let's see what happens.

Poodles, Franco said in his tape that he went to prison at 18 for a crime he didn't commit.

I, too, think Sonny is on the verge of a breakdown, and I hope he has one. Something has got to be strong enough to maybe turn him around a little.

Franco salutary effect seems to have worn off Jason.

The scene on the stand with Michael was well done. Drew's would have been as good, but different. His portrayal was sharper, edgier, smarter, and tougher. Chad's is softer with a gentle childlikeness that is sweet and appealing. I like both actors and it's fascinating to see the differences. I've only been watching since last summer, and I've never seen a recast before.

Olivia will leave Johnny soon. She never intended more than a fling and has been surprised by loving him. And talk about a character changing--where did that sweet wild boy go?

Johnny's new place was supposed to have been furnished and designed by PC's top designers. To me it looks like they should have called in Maxie--but only since they can't get Poodles! Dante could use some help also.

Prison drama coming up--I'm sure I'll like it, but I'd rather see some Kate/Coleman adventures in the art high fashion New York existentialist world. Or for some old-fashioned Gothic stuff, let's move the Davis girls into Wyndemere.

Lucky, so good to hear from you. Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

velvetmom, I'm questioning Jason thinking that Sonny would want him to kill his son. Would Jason go after Jake and try to kill his son if he crossed Sonny?

    Off topic -
Poodles you are right about how sad the picture of youth and crime is. Unfortunately no one has ever figured out how to rehabilitate youths consistantly. The ultimate sad truth is once a juvie offender (say 17) finished a 5 yr sentence they more often than not do not leave prison as law abiding citizens that have learned their lesson. They usually leave better more educated criminals. Their fellow inmates are very good instructors. But not locking them is is not an option either. And they cyle continues....
