Maybe, just maybe, Sonny, Carly, Jax, Jason can now see how badly they screwed up with this coverup. If Michael could have testified to this after Claudia's murder, I am thinking he would have gotten off on self defense and community service, despite what all the mobsters thought.

I totally agree, scrimmage. Sonny is the root cause of all this. He loves his children but he is toxic for them. Look at how well Michael and Kristina are doing. And now this delusional man says is it Olivia's fault because he kept Dante from him. Give me a break! Hey, let's blame the judge, Patrick, Robin, etc, etc,. Sonny needs a dose of reality instead of all the enabling BS everybody feeds him.

Dante needs to keep his mouth shut about Michael's sentencing. That no nonsense judge is going to sentence him and then Dante will be in deep doodoo with Morgan.

I would have more sympathy for Lulu if she actually had a spine and was doing this because SHE thought it was the right thing to do. Her only opinion on this matter is Dante's.

For the first time in a long time, I liked Spinelli today. He made sense.

    Hello Everyone.

I may not be in the majority here but I strongly agree that Michael deserved to get punished because Sonny and even Carley let him get away with alot. Let's not forget he shot Kate and they really didn't punish him. I don't blame Dante for turning him in. He had a point when he said if they would have called the cops right away and explain what happened it would have been ruled self defence. I am just tired of every one making excuses for there actions.
Michael was aloud to act as a spoiled kid because he was in a comma for a year. Sonny is aloud to act like bastard at times because his stepfather beat him. Carley was a selfish as they came because she was given away by Bobby.

Serious - you took the words out of my mouth. Totally agree!

Loved Judge Carroll today!! Wish he would have thrown Sonny and Carly's lying, holier than thou behinds in jail on the spot.

Courtroom Scene-I applaud Judge Carroll for voicing his disgust regarding the coverup. The charge is not murder but manslaughter so maybe there is some hope.

Carly/Lulu/Tracy-I think Carly just likes to go off on anyone to avoid putting the blame where it belongs. I loved when Tracy, a member of a family who has made verbal sparring a artform, told her that she brought Michael into Sonny's world and now there are consequences.

Olivia/Sonny-I am so tired of Sonny going on about Olivia keeping Dante from him. She didn't raise Dante to hate Sonny but to have some sense of right and wrong. Considering Dante is the only Corinthos to have his head on straight (I am losing hope for Morgan), she wasn't wrong.

Johnny/Olivia-All I have to say is if Johnny is going after Sonny, he better be smarter than he has in the past. I think it would be interesting if a third unknown party makes a play for the Corinthos territory but everyone believes Johnny is behind it.

Sonny/Michael-Upon seeing that scene, if Michael is going to get mandatory counseling, the shrink better be good.

Sam/Spinelli/Jason-At least Spinelli sees that violence isn't the answer. It's a shame he couldn't drop the Spinelli speak.

I saw a preview after todays episode, and I find it hard to believe that a judge would send a barely, eighteen year old boy to a adult prison.

Lil or Ring: How long would it take for Diane to appeal, this obviously crooked ruling?

FUBU: I agree, the show is finally getting good again.

First off, great to hear from you Lucky. Glad all it well. Three more wks, hang in there.

Now on to the show. OK I am sure now that Michael will see prison time. Besides the judge’s demeanor, Michael was led away and the judge has found him guilty of manslaughter. And that is what the judge had him held for sentencing for. People do not get suspended sentences for manslaughter when it involved ax murder. Plus Michael did not say that he didn’t want to or mean to kill Claudia, he said he didn’t care what happened to Claudia. Big difference. If the judge believed that Michael was acting purely in defense of Carly and Joss, or that is was justified. He would have accepted his confession and found him not guilty by reason of self defense, defense of others, or justifiable actions. (Those were the goals of Diane defense for Sonny and that results in a not guilty, not a wait to be sentenced for manslaughter.)

And if Dante promises anyone else what the sentencing will be I will scream!!! What lala land is he living in.

Loved Carly flipping the tables on Tracey about what if it was Luke Dante busted. Lulu had better prepare herself for that b/c I see it as a real future possibility if Dante stays on the PCPD. And we all know that Dante has no idea what conflict of interest is!!

Poor little Morgan. When he finds out that Dante once again lied he will be devastated.

As much as I love Jason, Sam, Diane, Carly and Sonny, I did enjoy the dress down the judge gave them. I just wish he would have included Jax and that crooked mayor too. Jax may not have started or wanted the coverup in the beginning, but he also could have at anytime told the truth himself. But I actually remember Carly wanting to blow the coverup and have Diane help Michael confess. But when she talked to Jax, he already had his sights on Sonny and talked her out of it. So much for just wanting to protect his family.

Loved Spinelli today. And I also like Sam getting Jason to stop and listen to Spin. See Lulu you can love someone and still contradict them every now and again. If I hear her say, I trust you, one more time. I trust you and I agree with you are two different things. When Michael does go to prison (that’s my prediction) Dante and Lulu may want to rethink the gray area of right and wrong.

One more thought. Dante keeps saying that he is saving Michael from a life in the mob. How is Michael taking responsibility for Claudia supposed to save him. He’s just proven the he is willing to sacrifice himself for Sonny (ultimate loyalty), and that he believes that he can make Sonny proud. This doesn’t sound like a man who’s ready to turn his back on Sonny’s way of life. JMO.

Hold on Carly don't let Tracy get you down with that "you stole Michael from the Quartermaine" BS. None of the Quartermaines knew anything about Dillion until he was Michael's age. Did she STEAL HIM from the Quartermaines? Who is to say that Michael's life would have been any better if AJ had been a part of it. With AJ's driving while drunk history, Michael probably would have been wrapped around a telephone post before he was ten. He'd have been walking around thinking he was a part of Charles Manson's cult because he couldn't remember who he was.

NuMichael is growing on me, I think he was good today.

Carly is done with Sonny (for now). I feel her pain.

poodles-I agree with you Carly should fire Olivia. She may not be able to send Olivia back to Bensonhurst but she darn sure can stop paying her. Johnny and Olivia have gotten so bland she seems like his foster mom to me. They need to do something else with Johnny. Tracy would really get her panties in a twist if Brooklynn got involved with John, but it might put some life back into him.

Posted by Starlett at Tuesday, May 04 2010 06:47 PM

The judge didn't mention Jax's name when he was citing those that may get punished, guess he doesn't know about him. So jax get off scott free.

Scrimmage & cbru - ITA with your posts. Saw a bit of the show today while on vacation and I have to say I LOVE that judge. Laying into Sonny, Carly, Diane, Claire, Jason and Sam like that was great.

Scrimmage - I also totally agree about Michael's rights and the judicial process, etc., etc.. Yes, Michael confessed in court, but that would NEVER go right to sentencing. Michael was NOT on trial, Sonny was. Despite the confession, Michael would have to have his own trial, at which, information like Michael's brain damage from being shot would be presented. The idea that Michael would be sentenced on Friday is sheer lunacy. I saw that part of the show and I don't even recall the judge saying that Michael was found guilty of anything, despite his confession. These so-called legal storylines just drive me nuts! UGH!

ransomha - every time we (the anti-Sonny contingent) try to point out all of the things Sonny's done wrong as reasons that he shouldn't be around his kids, you are among those who ALWAYS say that what really matters is that Sonny LOVES his children and that children always want to love their parents and forgive them, etc., etc., etc.. So, I'm curious, if that's your stance on Sonny, why are any of AJ's faults relevant as to whether he deserved to be a parent to his own son? Shouldn't it only matter that AJ loved his son and wanted to be a good father to Michael?

Whether AJ was a "pillar of the community" or not, nothing gave Sonny and his goons the right to kidnap AJ (one of Sonny's many, many, many felonies, which he has never had to answer for) and hold AJ in a meat locker until he signed his rights to Michael away. JMO, of course.

    Off topic:

lucky - glad you're doing well. Keep "cooking" those babies until they're ready to join us in the world! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

ransomha - I haven't been following the board much since I was traveling and this week I'm on vacation, so I'm not really sure what your news was, but congratulations for whatever good happened for you and your son!

I'm going to sign off now. Going to the Magic Kingdom at Disney World tomorrow! YEA! I just LOVE getting to let out my inner 8 year old (in a socially acceptable, positive way, that is!). LOL
