Alexis, Luke, Sonny and Carly all set out to protect their children.
Alexis and Luke remain on opposites sides of the Kristina/Ethan debate while at the Haunted Star. Luke knows she wants to protect her child, but they need proof and suggests they ask Lucky to reopen the case. Alexis agrees but demands no more surprise visits.
At Kelly's Sam lashes out at Ethan and when he leaves, Sam assumes Jason thinks Kristina is lying.
Sam and Jason go back to the office where they debate the validity of Kristina's statements. Jason wants proof, but Sam tells him the truth is what Kristina says.
After Dante and Ronnie's fight is broken up at the police station, Dante warns Morgan not to trust Ronnie. Ronnie pulls Dante aside and says if he catches him defending Sonny and his family one more time he will have his badge. Dante in turn threatens to turn him in for protecting Franco if he continues to go after Sonny's kids. Ronnie tells him he can't be a good brother to Sonny's kids and a good cop at the same time. Ronnie leaves and Dante tries to explain things to Morgan. Carly walks in, after Dante called her, and they talk alone about what just happened. He warns if Morgan knows anything, she has to keep him away from all cops. Carly chastises him for lying to them, especially Morgan, for so long and says if this is just another way for him to take Sonny down, no badge or gun will protect him from her.
Kristina cries in court as the judge restores order, following Johnny and Sonny's outbursts. As the judge chastises everyone, Johnny sees Kristina in tears in the back of the room. The judge notices as well and asks if she is okay, prompting Sonny to turn around to see his emotional daughter. Kristina leaves the courtroom and Sonny tries to follow her, but the judge warns he will find him in contempt if he steps out of line. He calls a recess but instructs that no one is to leave the courthouse. Everyone leaves expect for the lawyers. The judge orders Diane to control her client and warns Claire not to manipulate or provoke things like she just did again. Out in the hall, Sonny confronts Johnny who thinks Kristina should know who her father really is. Court reconvenes, but the judge dismisses everyone until tomorrow. He then sequesters the jury. Coleman does his best to get himself thrown off the jury, but the judge doesn't bite.
Carly goes to Jason at the office and tells him she thinks Dante might actually be protecting his brothers. Diane shows up to tell them Sonny has all but been convicted.
Alexis finds Kristina crying in her room and learns how Johnny accused Sonny of hitting Claudia in court. Kristina asks her mom if Sonny ever hit her. Alexis insists he never did and as far as she knows, he has never been violent with any woman. She urges her to take what Johnny said with the grain of salt, but Kristina is more upset about what Sonny said. Once Alexis has left the house, Sonny stops by to talk to his daughter. Kristina is cold to her father, who tries to apologize for what she overheard. Sonny vows he has never hit a woman, but Kristina doesn't believe him. She knows what it feels to be in Claudia's shoes and it makes her sick.
Johnny sees Lulu at Jake's and learns Maxie is doing better. He then tells Lulu he finally pulled one over on Sonny and thinks Claudia is smiling on him. Johnny excitedly recounts the events in court as Dante walks in and learns what happened.
Tracy and Nikolas bicker about Ethan and Kristina at the hospital. Tracy thinks he should look on the bright side considering this mess took the focus off the fact that he got his brother's fiancée pregnant. Ethan comes upon them as they continue to argue. Nikolas tells Ethan even though the charges have been dropped, nothing is forgiven or forgotten and leaves. Ethan thinks he will never get out from under this and it's time he left Port Charles for good.
After Tracy tells Luke Ethan is planning on leaving town, Ethan visits his father at the casino. Luke tries to convince him to stay, but realizes he's a marked man and admits he can't ask him to do that. He does ask him to wait a couple of days so he can set up his getaway properly. He also thinks Lucky will find the truth so he can come back some day, but if not, Luke will always be his father and will never give up on him.
Steve comes to Shadybrooke where he finds Elizabeth preparing ot check herself out. He's not keen on the idea, but she vows to continue with outpatient therapy. After Steve has no luck convincing her to stay, he leaves and Nikolas stops by. He doesn’t approve of her decision to leave either, but Elizabeth says she's ready to move on and is going home tomorrow.
