Lucky ends his engagement, Rebecca makes a plea to Nikolas, Dante asks too many questions, Kate tells Sonny some truths, and Jason blows up at Maxie.
At the hospital, Robin tells Elizabeth it's time for her to decide what to do about Nikolas and Lucky because staying in denial is never a good idea. Elizabeth loves Lucky, but Nikolas has awakened a part of her that shut down after her rape years ago and she can't let it go. She can't stop thinking about him and prays every day it will all go away. Robin reminds her Nikolas will always be a part of her life if she marries Lucky and wonders if they can go on like nothing has happened. Elizabeth insists it can be done because she has Lucky.
Lucky comes to the stables to tell Nikolas he is breaking off his engagement to Elizabeth. He wants to make sure his brother will be there for her because she will be hurt and confused and probably come to him. Nikolas wants him to be sure it's what both he and Elizabeth want and Lucky says he doesn't know what she wants, but something isn't right. Lucky wants Nikolas to help Elizabeth understand that he isn't breaking it off with her because he doesn't love her. Nikolas will do whatever he can, but assumes Elizabeth will be disappointed in herself. Lucky wonders if he's doing the wrong thing, but Nikolas says he's not because Elizabeth has been struggling. Nikolas thinks she would marry him out of loyalty and Lucky can't believe it has come to that. He has to face the fact that Elizabeth may never be ready to marry him again and he loves her enough to let her go.
Johnny tells Olivia he is glad she stayed the night with him and they kiss, as Sonny enters his garage. Sonny wants info on the job he gave him and Johnny tells him he's working on it. Sonny gets snippy and leaves. Johnny tells her she can go after him if she wants, but Olivia says it's not what she wants. Johnny wonders if she knows what that is. Olivia says being with him last night was an unexpected gift and she misses being with him. She does admit though that she has feelings for Sonny, but she would never act on them.
Dante goes to Jax's office to tell him his evidence isn't enough to convict Sonny. Jax wants to call in a favor, but Dante tells him that's a stupid move. Jax thinks Dante has many opportunities to find evidence against Sonny and wants him to do his job or else he will call in a favor to have him replaced by someone who can actually arrest him. After Dante leaves, Lucky stops by to question Jax about the Claudia case. He asks about Sonny's demeanor when he got the call from Sam about Carly. Jax says he seemed relieved but then his attitude changed and might have been speaking in code, as he got into mob boss mode and then he left. Lucky wonders if he would testify to that and Jax agrees. Lucky asks, off the record, where he thinks Sonny was headed and Jax muses, to kill Claudia. After Lucky has left, Olivia comes to work and Jax tells her Dante's evidence was insufficient and assumes she is relieved. Olivia is confused about what to do about Dante being Sonny's son. Jax thinks it's best to keep quiet about their connection, but Olivia thinks if Dante knows the truth he will have to take himself off the case. She knows they will hate her, but at least they will both be alive.
Lucky sees Rebecca at the hospital and is surprised to learn that Nikolas broke up with her. He thinks maybe that's why Nikolas was so subdued this morning and tells her she is good for his brother. Elizabeth walks up and she and Lucky leave to visit the land they want to buy.
Once at the land, Elizabeth gets excited, but Lucky says it will never happen because the engagement is off.
Rebecca goes to see Nikolas at the stables and tells him about what Lucky said. As she takes off her coat revealing her naked body, she says it would be a shame to squander what they have and she won't let him go without a fight.
Kate surprises Sonny when he returns home looking for approval for her to expand on her property. Sonny says it's fine and Kate realizes he came from a run-in with Olivia. Kate wonders if he ever thinks about what would've happened if he hadn't get involved in the mob. Sonny says no because he never would have been with Kate if Olivia hadn't broken up with him and he wouldn't trade that for anything. Kate wonders if they ever should have gotten together at all. She tells him being with him was an exercise in futility from the moment he and Olivia laid eyes on each other again. Sonny informs her she and Johnny are together, but Kate thinks all he has to do is run over there and declare his feelings and destiny will be fulfilled. Kate thinks it's ironic that she is the one to tell him the truth, as Dante walks in. Kate leaves and Dominic tells Sonny it's all good on the Joey Limbo front and then quizzes him about Claudia. Sonny gets irritated with all the questions and wonders if Dominic is trying to find out if he killed Claudia.
Maxie comes to Jason's to make sure he knows how important it is that Spinelli never find out about the photo. Jason in turn needs to know everything she remembers about the night she went to Franco's loft. Maxie doesn’t have much info and Spinelli walks in. Maxie urgently tells him they need to redecorate and Spinelli is all for it, but Jason isn't. Sam walks in and Maxie tries to get Sam on her side, but an annoyed Jason tells Maxie to either help him with Franco or get out. Spinelli doesn't think Jason should be so hostile and after she storms out, Spinelli defends his ladylove to Stone Cold. Sam intervenes defending Jason, but Spinelli still thinks it was uncalled for. He leaves to make sure Maxie is okay and Jason and Sam discuss theories regarding Franco. Sam thinks maybe she'll have better luck getting info out of Maxie.
Spinelli comes to Crimson and overhears Maxie frantically trying to get Franco on the phone. After she hangs up, Spinelli apologizes for Jason, but she understands. After Spinelli leaves, Sam walks in asking about the photo. Maxie asks her not to judge her and Sam says she doesn't, she just wants to know what happened that night. Maxie says she wants to help find Franco too so she can get the rest of the photos so Spinelli doesn't ever find out what happened.
Spinelli returns home and Jason apologizes for his behavior. Jason is frustrated that he can't find anything on Franco. He says if Franco knows anything about what happened to Claudia, he has to do something about it. They study Franco's artwork for clues because Jason thinks he sent him a message in the painting.
