Hey, enad, talking about our backgrounds may appear to be off topic but actually, once we've given our backgrounds we have a better understanding of why we have such passion for our subjects.(in my opinion, of course)
I am the 8th of 10 in an Irish Catholic family. I have six brothers and three sisters. I grew up with my brothers as my sisters were many years older than I.
I have been brain wshed by the Catholic Church but have been working through these teachings by thinking as an independent. My skin is honestly as white as the driven snow and I envy any one with a tan. But such is not the case for me. Too many freckles to count.
Now you know what drives me to try to understand Sonny and his clan. He's raised catholic, so are his children, and so is Olivia and Dante. I will tell you this, if you're raised Catholic, you are riddled with guilt over EVERYTHING,
EVERYTHING!!! I just told a neighbor today, who loves the "New Yorker" Magazine that I feel guilty, GUILTY, when I throw the mag Out before I read every column. That's Catholic. And in my opinion that's also sick.

heartliason - I thank Karma if it lead to the end of Andrea's s/l.

Posted by heartliason at Wednesday, September 09 2009 05:29 PM

firebird85, lol, I thank Karma too, Andrea trying to bring Edward to his death, brought herself to her death, Epic win!!

Alioop, I forgot about Carly and Olivia relationship, I do like their friendship, I think it is great, I HOPE it lasts. And I too initially when Olivia came on liked Olivia, I liked the way she brought it because I did not like Kate, and she was being real. I thought she would have been a great love interest for MAC. But then she became in everyone's business and became googly eyed for Sonny, I don't mind her with Sonny it is just the way she is going at it especially with Johnny in the pic.

Absolutely superb acting today! Watched the show twice so far.

Favorite part, Jason just walking around in a complete fog. He truly looked heartbroken. Cant wait for tomorrow.

Hellooooooo Sonny, your wife is still out there along with your daughter. You don't know if they are hurt or worse or if they are okay and you don't seem to care. You are still sniffing after Olivia-typical.

I agree with the other posters about Andrea. What a wasted character and s/l. On the other hand, it was a very appropriate ending for her-to be killed by the very man she wanted to kill.

Hope it doesn't take super sleuth-aka Robin-too long to figure out Edward was given Digitalis. I have no clue whether it can be detected through lab work or not. And then I am sure everything will fall very neatly into place regarding Andrea, Edward and Brianna.

IMO Steve Burton is the best actor on the show. He can convey more emotion without saying a word than all the screechers can and will do. Really glad he signed up for another year.

Hope all the injured-Jake, Max, Dante and Edward come out okay.

heartliason: Doesn't Kristina have two healthy parents? Why chastise Sam for being there for Jason when there are not any criticisms for someone who SHOULD be the first person asking where the hell is my daughter, SONNY, Kristina's father. Sonny is seen showing no concern for his daughter, niece or wife's whereabouts, but Sam is being chastised for not searching for her sister when she was only a few days ago risking life and limb to help bring her home safely when once again her parents were at home being useless as usual. As for Sam, she was there when Jake's parents (Liz, Lucky and Jason)watched Jake walk away from them without doing anything to stop him until Edward's car crashed into the Ferris Wheel. She helped them dig Jake out of the rubble (She was the one holding that metal beam up) and she was on a date with Jason, why would Sam not be at the hospital, a stone's throw away from the accident to see how Jason, her lover/ date is holding up? How does not affect her independence or lack thereof?

i was always a jason and liz fan but since they never had a real chance to go anyway am okay with him going back to sam i guess it was only a matter of time. however, pertaining to the scenes today they were amazing. i think it's time the truth comes about jake and jason. glad they gave liz and jason time to console each other and i jason is hurting clad someone notices that.

enad19 IA Sonny should be there for his daughter as should Alexis, but my reference to her is because she is family. Everyone wanted to find their family members, so I was saying it would have been nice to see her at least seek out her family too.
No I am not faulting her for her concern for Jason or Jake, just saying what about her family too, since the their was a tragedy at the carnival, just like it is common to think Sonny would want to look for the kids he knows, it is common to feel family would be concerned for family.

As far as the independence comments I have seen some Sam fans comment on that, maybe not on this update section but on some boards, so it is not a dig on the character. I am just saying someone pointed that out, saying she gets caught up in his life like before, and I am not saying I have an issue with their relationship, by all means, I will keep it real, I will hate it since I am not a fan just like from your comments I can assume you MAY not be a liz fan, but the independence part was like in the past when they broke up Sam life was wrapped up into Jason so she did not know what to do after, the friends she made, everything, even Carly made a comment about it in the past. I was glad when he writers gave her a PI business, so it could show her independence, but like today of course she would be concerned for him and jake, but did she go and check about her family? Just like Jason has his friends and family, dont make her loose her identity and pretend she does not have one.

Gosh, I just finished reading comments from yesterday's update. They were made when I was sleeping. I hate time differences!!

Ring, Sonny is showing Claudia respect - by not KILLING HER!

enad, interesting background. So how did you come to live in the US? How did you get citizenship/visa? Is it easy to move to the States/Canada?

Someone mentioned Barefoot Contessa. We get that show on cable and I love it too. She's always cooking for friends etc and I love her kitchen. I want one of those KitchenAid mixers!!!! I also like Giada on Everyday Italian.

alioop the woman who Max saved is Louise, the deputy DA who Diane and Alexis are always having a go at because of her cheap shoes (I guess she doesn't get freebies from Kate). Alexis thinks that Louise is after her job. Now Diane will think she is after her man, and serve her right. If she had let Max get a word in edge-ways she might have held on to him.

Sonny was concerned about Dante because he saved Morgan and may not know that Kristina is missing.

I do not think that Claudia has any intention of harming Kristina. She was grief stricken over what happened BY ACCIDENT to Michael because Michael was a child. I think that Michael will forgive her, he ought to as he shot Kate by accident, and he seems more mature now that he is out of his coma.

I did have a few problems with today's show:

    1) If Dante needs a kidney transplant, then he must have damaged both kidneys as you only need one. Why do they not use a dialysis machine to give his kidneys chance to heal.

    2) I did not know that the public could wander into the emergency room while casualties were being treated, but Morgan did.

Why do they need a parent of Dante's to sign off on his surgery when he is a conscious adult. I had to have emergency surgery and I signed off myself - at least I think I did as I got a lot of paperwork shoved at me while I was watching an endless parade of bar fight victims coming into the emergency room.

OK grips over for now. It was a good show and the best part was knowing that we have seen the back of Andrea.
