GH Recap: A Matter Of Perception.

    Friday, January 24 2014
Lucy and Scott hit the sheets again, Felix looks forward to his date with Brad, and Sam’s witness tells her and Nathan that Silas was the one who filled the liquid prescription.

    (ABC)

Mac joins Felicia at the Floating Rib and suggests a double date with Kevin and Lucy now that they are back on track. She thinks Kevin and Lucy might need a little more work. He badgers her about what she knows and she tells him Lucy slept with Scott. She begs him to keep out of it and promises Lucy is done with Scott.

Lucy visits Scott in his hotel room, demanding to know why he sacrificed Franco to boost his own career. Maybe he isn’t the man she thought he was. He tells her Anna forced his hand. He believes there are other suspects, like Ava. He wishes there was more to do for Franco, but he’s on his own. And so is he. Lucy gets close and tells Scott he isn’t alone. She admits she can’t stop thinking about him. He urges her not to fight it and they have sex. Later, she can’t believe she did it again. She's upset she is reverting back to the old Lucy, but she wants to be with Scott and doesn’t know what she’s going to do. Mac pounds on the door and demands to talk to Scott. He punches Scott in the face when he opens the door and warns him to stay away from Lucy.

Lucas finds Brad at the hospital and lays a big kiss on him. Brad is a bit aloof, and Lucas apologizes for coming on too strong. He really feels a connection with Brad and they flash back to their night before at the Rib. Brad told him his bio-dad was an Asian gangster and Lucas knew exactly what he is going through. Lucas is amazed at how much they have in common. Meanwhile, Felix won’t let anything stop his bad mood in anticipation of his date with Brad. Silas asks him to dial it down a notch. Felix suggests Silas’ personality had something to do with the board choosing a criminal over him. Later Felix walks in on Brad and Lucas talking to confirm their date. He leaves quickly and Lucas realizes he is the guy Brad has been pining over. Lucas was hoping for a repeat tonight but can see Brad has other plans. Brad didn’t mean for this to happen, but Lucas is confident he still has a shot.

Sam meets with the pharmacist at Kelly’s and shows him a picture of Ava. When Nathan arrives she leads him over to the table and introduces him to the pharmacist as well. He tells Nathan and Sam that he filled many prescriptions for Silas. He also recognizes Ava from the hospital, but he never filled a prescription for her – just Silas. Silas joins them. He learns the pharmacist recognizes him as the one who filled the liquid prescription – he remembers very clearly, especially after he heard what had happened to Nina. Silas thinks this is some kind of set up and demands to know what Nathan gets out of this. Sam asks the pharmacist why he never called the cops and he tells them he didn’t want to get involved. Silas calls him a liar and Nathan arrests him.

Julian pulls a gun on Duke at the pier and tells him he knows all about their plans. Shawn pulls a gun on Julian from behind and takes his gun. Sonny emerges and tells Julian this might be his last mistake. Sonny won’t shoot him because of Danny, but he wants a little payback. He offers first dibs to Duke, and Duke starts punching Julian while Shawn holds him.

At home, Ava offers Morgan something to take the edge off. He’s feeling guilty that he gave Julian the info to kill Duke. She tells him this protects Julian, who is protecting her and Morgan too, as well as Carlos. This business can be good if Morgan can learn how to eliminate problems. She reminds him that he knew what he was getting into when he volunteered to work for Julian. He takes her hands and tells her he has something to say, but they are interrupted by a beat-up Julian. He tells them it was a setup –Sonny was expecting Julian. They realize Sonny is onto Morgan. Julian accuses Morgan of doing a bad job of convincing his father. Either Sonny discovered Morgan’s a traitor – or Julian did. He asks Morgan if he was in on it. Ava tells him Sonny just outmaneuvered him. Julian thinks the person who should be worried about Sonny is Morgan.

Back at the pier Sonny is livid Morgan is still working for Julian. He wasn’t sure before, but now he is. It breaks his heart that Morgan doesn’t have an ounce of love left for him. Duke asks him what he’s going to do about it.

Monday’s Port Charles spoilers for General Hospital:

Silas tells Sam he didn’t do it.

TJ considers Silas is a murderer like Rafe’s dad.

Nathan tells Anna it all adds up to attempted murder.

Felicia questions Lucy about her fidelity.

Duke tells Mac he isn’t a stand-up guy. Mac wonders what Duke did.

    Julian wants Duke to pay.

WHY doesn't Silas remember he had an identical twin brother ? So identical that Rafe' couldn't look at Silas without thinking of his mother's murderer?

And WHY wouldn't Sam fully question her witness before inviting Nathan in on who she was questioning?
It's her fault Silas got arrested.

Brad, seriously? Go for Lucas. Felix is AWFUL is everywhere.
The nerve of Felix to talk to Silas that way.

LOVED Julian getting his azz kicked.
    Kudos to the makeup department.
    They did a good job.
Feel a little cheated we didn't get to see Julian crumble .

Poor Sonny, his son betrayed him.
    Gotta hurt.

    Lucy and Scott, not interested.

This seemed like a interesting show annoyed that I missed it because of school only for them to cancel 10 minutes later.

I knew Sonny was setting up Morgan. It's no way he would let him know things in his business because one he's in with the Jerome's and two he never lets his kids into the business and 3. No one gets out the mob by just saying I don't wAnt this life. Except Milo but he was a completely different case. So I'm happy he wasn't blindsided.

A few impressions of the Friday episode, which was not exactly a cliffhanger.

A triangle here, a triangle there... What are they doing, building the Pyramids?

Felix just can't help but put his foot in his mouth. I think he must've been born that way.

So Brad's dad is bad too? And supposedly dead? We all know what THAT means on this show. Kim Wu is bound to make an appearance sooner or later.

Games Ava is probably good at:

    Twister

    SPIN the Bottle

    Liar's Poker

I guess Duke's right arm is okay after all. Too bad he can't brag about beating up Ick to Anna.

Ack! Felicia! She was practically BEGGING Mac to “drag Lucy's secret out of her” because she was dying to tell him. Wife or not, that's not what a trusted best friend does. But I'm glad she did because it led to the best scene of the day, where Mac punched Snotty in the nose (and that's no typo), courtesy of HIS best friend, Kevin. THAT'S how a best friend does things, and that's what Felicia herself should've done, probably minus the violence.

Now Mac and Duke will have matching bruised knuckles. Yay!

Sonny likes to watch, eh? Kinky.

It's just another typical day at the office for the World's Worst Private Eye, Sam Morgan. She not only blows her own theory out of the water, but she also personally sees to it that her client is arrested, something he had successfully avoided for more than two decades until she showed up. It only took Sam a couple of days to find enough evidence to send her boyfriend up the river for the NEXT twenty years. Way to go, Sam.

She couldn't wait FIVE MINUTES to hear the Doc's answer before she let the cops know who this guy was? She couldn't have met him in her never seen OFFICE? What an IDIOT!

In the history of all literature, radio, television, theater, and film, Ms. Sam McCall Davis Cassadine Morgan Jerome is by far and without a doubt, the Worst. PI. EVER! Can someone PLEASE get this woman on a boat?

Hopefully Sam will mention Stephen Clay to Anna. Stephen could have hated his brother so much he wanted to set him up or help Silas get with Ava. I wonder if Sam will still believe Silas. Previews says that Rafe tells Silas he his just like him father a murder. Silas needs to mention Stephen.

It looks like Moron is going to be of no use to anyone any more, except maybe Ava. Thought he was about to tell her that Julian threatened him til Jules walked in. I cant imagine what Sonny will do now that he knows Moron betrayed him but when it comes right down to it I dont think he will hurt him.

No one can keep another's secret in this town! Lucy is just plain nuts!

Felix was a little mouthy with Silas. Looks like nothing Brad said to him sunk in.

Still not liking Nathan, but I would really like to know what's driving him.

I'm going to call it right now that Brad Cooper used to be Brad Nakamura. There's more to the pharmacist than meets the eye, I'd bet.

OK. Loved yesterday and today's show. Yay for Dr O, yay that Scotty looks pretty good and happy with the shrinks wife. What's her name. Yay that Sonny set his son up and hope he gives to his son what only Sonny can do. Torture!!!
Yay no Helena or Michael or Kiki. Yay Silas may talk about his identical twin brother whom Heather never talked about. Wait! Is Silas Heathers son?. I'm so confused. But yay, I'm back to enjoying the show. And yay for addressing same sex couples. Yay! Yay! Yay!

And some of you posters thought Sonny was slipping! As usual, he got someone else to do the fighting! Nothing slow about Sonny! But...what to do about Moron????

Posted by beenaroundalongtime at Friday, January 24 2014 12:58 PM

Julian, with your nice nipples, so stupid. Why didn't you think that Sonny would test Morgan????? You probably would have done the same! Hope you enjoyed your beat down. Lucy why did Scott become your EX-husband? Brad, you nasty boy!

Okay, this "Silas tried to kill his wife" story is just too stupid. Beyond (again) being WELL outside the statute of limitations for attempted murder (by a factor of FOUR), we're supposed to believe that this pharmacist didn't say anything before because he "didn't want to get involved"? I can see that if you're talking about coming forward about a gang incident or drug dealer or someone who you believe would seriously hurt you, but he "didn't want to get involved" with a DOCTOR who might have tried to kill someone? Really? And even though it's "against the rules" to fill a prescription written by a doctor FOR HIMSELF, he did it anyway. And then when said Doctor's wife ended up in a coma from an overdose of that same drug, this guy didn't speak up at all? Diane should be able to tear any number of other holes in that story (assuming she's not able to blow this whole thing up for being INSANELY outside the statute of limitations for attempted murder!!! Have I said that before?? LOL).

BUT, ultimately I go back to my theory that Silas's look-alike brother is the one who did this. I don't know why Steven Clay wanted to kill Nina, but it's the only way this story makes any sense -- and it gets Silas off the hook for the shady pharmacist ID'ing him.

I really just want this story to be over - and I CAN'T WAIT for Detective Smugly T. Smuggerson (a.k.a. Nathan West) to have to apologize profusely to Silas when the truth comes out. It's amazing with such "top notch" detectives that the PCPD ever solves ANY CASE!! I meaan, this "detective" was working on this case for - what - YEARS, and had nothing but circumstantial evidence. Sam's on the case for a week and she finds an eye witness to ID Silas as picking up the prescription? (+1 Point for Sam) And THEN she ruins it by being DUMB ENOUGH to have the idiot detective sit in while she questions the witness BEFORE she hears what he has to say (-5 points for Sam).

On to Brad and Lucas. I LIKE them together. I like seeing someone with Brad who isn't constantly judging him and thinking he's better than Brad (I'm talking to you Felix!). Takes some of the "shady" off of Brad for me.

Morgan, Morgan, Morgan - you dumb, dumb, dumb, DUMB schmuck. That's all I have to say. There's so much more I could say, but I won't as it's a waste of time. Again, this is just another ASININE STORY LINE. Hey, wait a minute, that rhymes. I think I just found the GH writing team's mantra!! LOL

Seeing ICK with his pretty-boy face bashed in today was a nice treat though. Too bad they didn't break his jaw though, so we'd be spared some of his pathetic rantings for a few weeks while it was wired shut and healing. Hey, a girl can hope.

The whole Lucy & Scott story line grosses me out. Dog bless my DVR and the FF button on the remote!
