    GH Recap: A Masterful Job.

    Thursday, January 16 2014
Dante, Anna, and Nathan recreate a timeline for Carly’s disappearance, Franco tries to convince Sonny of his innocence, and Heather tells Carly all about her genius plan.

At Carly’s, Lulu asks Nathan if he found anything else to help his case. He says the luggage upstairs matches the suitcase they found in Carly’s trunk and Lulu is visibly upset thinking something really happened to Carly. Nathan asks if he should give Dante her regards but can quickly tell the topic upsets her. Lulu urges him to go back to the station. Later, Bobbie returns. She tells Lulu that she hasn’t told Lucas because she’s afraid he’ll come back and run into his biological father. As of now, Lucas thinks Julian is dead. Bobbie calls Lucas and tells him she has bad news about Carly.

At the station, Anna tells Dante the prints on the knife are Franco’s, and the blood is Carly’s. She isn’t sure it’s going to be enough evidence - Scott will want a slam-dunk guilty verdict after AJ’s trial. Nathan returns and they get to work setting up a timeline of events. First, Carly had lunch at Metro Court to tell Michael about Franco. Michael got upset and left with Kiki. Carly was going to talk with Sonny and Franco watched her step on the elevator. Sonny confirmed Carly got to the restaurant. Carly then went home to write her letter to Franco. But she never made it out of town. Dante thinks she went right to the hotel from her house and Franco saw the letter, lost it and ran after Carly. They imagine they fought over her car in the parking garage and in the heat of the moment Franco stabbed her. Dante wonders where Franco would have gotten the knife. Anna thinks maybe Carly had the knife for protection, and she left no prints because she was wearing gloves. They are not sure Franco would leave the knife so close to the crime scene though. All the security footage had all been deleted. Plus, where’s the body?

Franco finds Sonny in his hotel room. Sonny wonders if Franco is paying Carly back for the room by making her disappear. Sonny told Carly to dump Franco and Michael told him about the letter, so some of what he said must have stuck. Franco thinks someone else could have written the letter and insists he isn’t capable of hurting Carly. Sonny doesn’t believe him and tells him to pray they find her or he will experience the same hell he inflicted on others.

Julian brags to Ava in his room that they sold out the early edition of the paper. Ava wonders why he’s so intent to skewer Franco in the press. Julian wants to deflect any heat that may be on them, whether he did it or not. She thinks this is a great time to take another swing at Sonny and he is already on it. But he really wants to talk about Bobbie. Julian thinks her son Lucas is his son, born to Cheryl Stansbury, a former lover. Julian wants to get to know Lucas and be a better father than their dad was. Ava thinks it’s a little late, but he is going to arrange to meet Lucas. She reminds him he isn’t wanted and he asks if she is going to stop trying with Kiki. He has a right to get to know his son.

Heather returns to the boathouse where Carly is tied up, but still alive. Heather wakes her up with coffee and BLT’s. Carly asks Heather why she cut her and Heather tells her she needed her blood to frame Franco for her murder. Carly is sure Franco won’t believe the letter Heather wrote, but Heather doesn’t care if Franco believes it – he isn’t her target audience. The cops are. Carly wonders why Heather is doing this – doesn’t she want to be with her son? She tells Carly it’s too late – the cops have already found the evidence. Franco had buried the knife he stabbed her with her, so his prints were all over it. Franco won’t suspect her because he thought he killed her. Carly feels bad for Franco and that enrages Heather. Carly thinks Heather must have made some mistake. Heather is confident she is golden. She is going to keep Carly alive so they can watch Franco go down together - until she gives the cops her body.

Nikolas runs into Elizabeth at the hospital. He is there for a board meeting about the new chief of staff. They admit they missed each other over the holidays and they both apologize. The whole thing with Robin is a reminder to Elizabeth that the people they love can just disappear. She asks him to go ice skating with the kids and her but he turns her down. He takes a call from Britt and makes plans with her instead. Elizabeth is bummed.

So Carly's “back from the dead” already, huh? It must be a new world's record. I knew it was too good to be true.

Not sure the PCPD will realize that this is a setup. Why would he leave the bloody car and knife to be found. No one will suspect Heather. Franco thinks he killed her and maybe Kevin will tell Anna that Franco told him he killed his mother to protect Carly.

What is the upside of keeping Carly alive as far as Heather's plan is concerned? She's just asking for trouble. How can she know Frodd won't have an alibi for when she DOES finally get around to slitting Carly's throat? They can usually tell how long a body has been dead within about a half hour or so, and if Frodd should happen to be in custody (thanks to his fingerprints on the knife) when Carly supposedly “dies,” then they'll know he's been set up. Also, won't Frodd recognize the knife, or at least begin to suspect Heather when they tell him it's got his prints all over it? No one else knows she's supposed to be dead, and when they learn she's not at Miscavige, she should shoot right to the top of the list of suspects. When they do the autopsy on Carly's body and find an undigested BLT in her stomach, they'll have a pretty big clue as to which local serial killer Carly spent her last hours with, but of course by that point, it won't do Carly much good.

And what's the point of having a video secrity system if anybody and their non-existent dog can delete everything without leaving a trace of who did it? It's unbelievable that the video from less than two days ago could simply disappear. Haven't they ever heard of backing things up on “The Cloud?” It's like the writers think the audience is a combination of four year old kids and tech-challenged senior citizens.

I have been watching Quincy M E on Netflix. Way more believable story's than Heather trying to frame Franco.
This is just stupid and insulting to the viewers.

Yes oh so brilliant Heather. Huge gaping hole in your plan when the time of death doesn't match the date and time of the supposed murder. Oy.

Doubt the cops will suspect Heather but Dante already seems to think something isn't adding up as is Anna.

Well, we're seeing it again. Liz is once again feeling jealous and unable to except that a man is involved with someone else and that SHE is no longer the center of attention. It's always the same with her....she wants them after she's turned them down and she sees them involved with a new person.

This is why she'll always be just a baby mama.

GREAT seeing Liz two days in a row, Only she can rock scrubs.
Liked that she seems to accept Nic's choice even if she doesn't agree.
Hope they hook her up with Nat.

Lulu not telling Nat that she is married to Dante is all kinds of wrong.
Nat must not be that detailed of a detective not to notice she was withholding something from him.

That was the BIGGEST turtleneck I have ever seen on a man. With Julian's new haircut and that BIG necked sweater, you could barely see his head. Interesting look.....

Why aren't the police thinking Heather? They know she escapes and don't know Franco "killed" her.

    Another disappointing episode .

Hey Dante has a brain. Asking where the knife came from.

Happy Friday everyone, hope everyone is enjoying their day. We're still sweltering here with a fourth day over 40 deg. Today it'll be 44. Not good. It was freakin 38 deg at 8.30 last night.

Anyway, poor Lizzzzzzzz is bummed. Are we supposed to care that no man wants her? No but it sure gives me a laugh. She has run out of sugar daddies. Who is her next target? Nathan? Does he even own a Hazmat suit?

You got that right brunette. Lizzzzzz will always be the baby mama with no real substantial relationship with anyone. Well except herself of course.

It's obvious someone will save Carly from Untethered Heather's BLT but who who will it be? I don't care.

    Another snoozefest today.......

When Dante, Anna and Nathan were going over the scenario of their version of what happened to Carly, they mentioned after Franco stabbed her she wiped her bloodied glove over the side of the car and fell to the ground. I was waiting for them to say... where's the blood on the ground. If someone was just stabbed the way they described it, wouldn't there be more blood?? And why would Franco move the body? Too many holes in their scenario. They are considered the best -- according to Lulu Dante is a very good detective, they are ruling out that Franco could be set up. Also, all that blood on that knife, on the side of the car and all Carly had is a "flesh wound". That knife looked like it was used to cut up at least 4 dozen jellied donuts!
I didn't like that Julian found out off camera that Lucas is his son. I would have liked to see that played out.
No mention if Detective West ever finished his interrogation of Ava the day before.
I loved the scene between Franco and Sonny. Loved when Sonny whispered at the end that Franco was going to die a slow death. Could Franco have been any more calmer.
I feel really bad for Elizabeth. Yes she makes her decisions and then regrets it but still I felt for her. It's obvious, Nik still has strong feelings for her.
