GH Recap: All Up In It.

    Wednesday, January 15 2014
Lulu spends some time with Dante’s new partner, Lucy can’t get Scott out of her head, and Sonny shares top secret information with Morgan.

    (ABC)

In bed with Scott, Lucy wonders why she ever resisted. Kevin suddenly appears and she wakes up screaming in her bedroom. She demands to know what Kevin’s doing there and he reminds her that they live together. He asks if she’s cheating on him. She stammers and he tells her he was kidding. He just wanted to lighten the mood since they both know she is true blue. She looks tortured.

In the Metro Court parking garage, Scott urges Anna on the phone to pull it together and find Carly safe and sound. He hangs up and approaches Franco, who’s by Carly’s car. Franco tells Scott that Ava is a much more believable suspect but Scott doesn’t want to come off as pulling strings for his son. Franco is sure no one could ever accuse him of that. Franco just wants to find Carly. Scott won’t make any promises but will try. He warns Franco that he is close to Bobbie, so if he did hurt Carly, Scott will hunt him down.

Michael looks for Carly at the hospital, but she hasn’t been admitted. He worries Carly is at the mercy of Franco. Kiki is sure Franco is innocent and doesn’t think it will help Carly to jump to conclusions. He promises to keep an open mind. Meanwhile, Franco visits Kevin at his office and tells him about Carly’s disappearance. Franco is convinced Carly didn’t write the letter but Kevin points out that Franco was always afraid Carly would "come to her senses" and leave him. Isn’t this his fear come true? Franco leaves to find Carly. He runs into Michael and Kiki on his way out. He swears he’s innocent. Michael agrees to give him the benefit of the doubt - for now.

Lulu answer’s Carly’s door, and Det. West is there to investigate the computer. She asks if he’s new and he tells her his partner is Dante. She begins to question him about the case like a pro and he fills in the details. He finds Carly’s letter. Lulu reads it and isn’t convinced Carly wrote it. Dating Franco was huge for Carly and her mind was made up. He sees the timestamp of the letter was after her meeting with Sonny, so it seems legit. Lulu blames herself for being out that night. West doesn’t want her to blame herself and misses a call from Dante. He calls back and tells Dante the letter checks out.

At the station Anna is anxious for something to connect their evidence to Franco. She and Dante agree to keep what they know under wraps for now. Bobbie overhears and demands to know what’s going on. Anna promises her they are doing everything they can to bring Carly home. Bobbie hands off Carly’s toothbrush for DNA analysis, sure Franco is involved. Bobbie runs into Scott on her way out and demands he get Franco to confess. He thinks there could be other suspects and she accuses him of trying to protect his son. Scott goes inside and urges Anna and Dante to investigate all suspects so the case is airtight. Later, Anna gets the call that the blood is Carly’s and the prints are Franco’s.

Felicia and Duke talk about Carly at Kelly’s. She is sure there will soon be a full-on mob war and can remember how Victor Jerome thought he ruled the town. Duke eagerly awaits Julian’s downfall and she urges him not to let the Jeromes pull him apart from Anna again. Duke tells her he has a volunteer commitment to fulfill and she hugs him, glad he is one of the good guys. Lucy comes by and confesses to Felicia that she slept with Scott last month. She and Kevin had hit a rough patch and one thing led to another. Then, Kevin showed up at Scott’s and she hid while he poured his heart out. Lucy told Scott she wanted to work things out with Kevin, that they belong together. But Scott got to her and she can’t seem to be "un-gotted." Kevin shows up with Scott behind him.

At the warehouse, Sonny urges Shawn to do whatever they need to get Carly back. Shawn wonders if Sonny is buying what Morgan is selling. Morgan eavesdrops as Shawn questions the possibility that Morgan will feed Julian info. Sonny knows deep down that Morgan loves him. Morgan walks in and tells them that Jax is going to get suspicious about Carly soon. Shawn leaves and Sonny promises Morgan that Carly will be fine. Morgan is worried about what a jerk he’s been to Carly and they hug. Duke comes by and Sonny makes Morgan promise that no one will know Duke is involved with Sonny.

Tomorrow’s Port Charles spoilers for General Hospital:

Nikolas and Elizabeth miss each other.

Lulu learns that Julian is Lucas' biological father.

Julian tells Ava he is Lucas’ father.

Heather is sure when the cops put all the pieces together they will arrest Franco.

It looks to Dante like Franco killed Carly.

Sonny asks Franco who did it if he didn’t.

Another episode that was like watching paint dry.

Posted by Scrimmage at Wednesday, January 15 2014 12:42 PM

    Quick Hits:

    Grossest. Opening. EVER!

It looked like Nulu was thinking “Hmmm... I wonder if I have to give back this ring?”

Searching everywhere? Has anyone checked Cassadine Island?

    GH Math:
    Felicia – Mac = Nails + Chalkboard

Why is Sonny setting up Duke to test Moron's loyalty?

Nathan read his last line wrong. It should've been:

Nathan (on the phone with Dante and looking at Nulu): “I just want to take another look around to see if there's anything to nail... uh, Frodd!”

Today’s episode was “meh” - the ONLY positive thing I can say about it is "At least Heather wasn't on today!" So instead, I’ll follow-up on some of yesterday’s late posts:

Scrimmage wrote - “...which begs the question: WHY is Slimas acting like he and Ava have something to hide?” One thing I can think of is that Silas DOES have something to hide - he previously lied to the police about the affair, which, as detective West pointed out, is a felony (of course, the statute of limitations on that charge too has run, but why let that fact get in the way of a weak story).

“And if he doesn't suspect her of hurting Nina, then what did Ava do to make Slimas hate her so much?” If Ava did confront Nina as you suggest, Silas may have felt that confrontation pushed Nina over the edge towards attempting suicide. I believe that he did and still does love Nina and he deeply regrets the affair and its resulting impact on Nina, so if it was because of Ava that Nina found out what was going on, I could see hating her for that - oh, and for keeping his daughter from him for 21-ish years.

Here’s an alternate theory - Nina DID actually try to kill herself. The liquid form of the drug was obtained by Nina. She used Silas’s script pad and put the prescription in Silas’s name to frame him for her death as payback for the affair. A case of - if I can’t have him, no one will (except a cellmate named Bubba!). Nina would have had access to the prescription pad too, so it could work.

But I still like my theory that Silas’s psycho brother is the actual guilty party. He IS an actual killer and we know that. He was detached from reality, so it may have seemed like a “reasonable” thing to do. Kill Nina and frame Silas so he’s out of the way so Steven Clay could have Ava for himself - two violent psycho peas in a pod, so to speak. Maybe Ava was even seeing Steven sometimes when she THOUGHT it was actually Silas - and maybe Kiki is ACTUALLY Steven Clay’s daughter, not Silas’s -- making her Rafe’s big sister. If its one thing that’s never settled on this show, it’s paternity (like Skye, Kiki, Franco, - and on RC’s last show, Jessica, Natalie, and I’m sure there are many, many others that I just can’t think of right now).

Scrimmage wrote - (about Nathan West) intimidation is “just a tool all cops make full use of to ensure cooperation from the people they’re dealing with.” If you are intimidating someone to get a result, it’s not called cooperation, it’s called coercion. There’s a difference between using the power of the badge (as we’ve seen Anna and Dante do) and bullying people. I think the difference is that it’s a matter of degrees again. When Max was shot, Sonny wanted to go to the hospital right away and Anna pulled her badge out (maybe physically, maybe it was implied) and said “you’re not going anywhere until you answer some questions.” To me, that’s VERY different than threatening to throw Ava in a holding cell if she won’t agree to wait around at the police station for him while he’s out for who knows how long on another case.He basically put her under arrest with no probable cause and no factual basis, just a hunch that Silas was behind Nina’s overdose. I certainly DON’T like Ava at all, but I thought that was completely unreasonable and borderline illegal.

Soap Bubbles - I agree with you that there’s some doubt about the paternity of Sabrina’s baby - and here’s why I think that way. First, I believe 100% that Sabrina believes that she DID NOT sleep with Carlos and that she believes 100% that Patrick is the father of her baby. I believe and trust in the genuineness of Sabrina. Carlos, on the other hand, is a different story. Especially after this past week, where he butted in on a situation that didn’t concern him and was specifically told to stay out of by Sabrina. But he just couldn’t help himself. And I believe that, if a drunk and hurting Sabrina gave any indication that she was even remotely willing to be with him, I think Carlos would have jumped on that chance (no pun intended). Then, the next morning when Sabrina woke up (sober) and was absolutely HORRIFIED at the idea that they might have been together, Carlos knew he had to lie about it or he would definitely lose her forever. Carlos always believed that Patrick would choose Robin, so he felt that all he really had to do wait it out and then there would not be any competition for Sabrina and he could be there (again) to pick up the pieces. I think that Carlos is a sleezebag and I think he feels like Sabrina “belongs” to him, so I don’t think it would be completely outside the realm of possibility that it happened this way. It COULD BE the case that things happened on Sabrina’s non-wedding night EXACTLY as Carlos said they did to Patrick. I think it’s a genuine possibility based on what I’ve seen from Carlos. Right now, there would be no reason that Carlos would need to tell Sabrina what really happened because Patrick is still out of the picture. Just a thought.

    OT

Scrimmage - believe me, I’m starting to look at all my transportation options. After 10 years, this is the very first repair (beyond the usual maintenance - oil changes, tires, etc.) I’ve had to make on my car, so on the whole, I ‘ve gotten my money’s worth. My thinking was that, if I had one more thing break, that would be the time to get something new. Since I work from home, one of those “low milage” leases of a new car would probably something I could do. The only reason I’m holding off right now is because I want to move from CT to FL this year, so I don’t want to be locked in to a lease from a dealer in CT if I move 1,200 miles away.

But either way, I have to fix it now. I can’t trade in a car in the condition mine is in right now and expect to get anything for it!

My other thought about who is pulling Nathan West's strings on the whole Silas investigation is that it could be Nina herself. Silas hasn't been allowed to see her for over 20 years, so who's to say she's not well out of that long term care facility, recovered and out for revenge (since framing him for her death didn't work - as he's free and she's not dead). Hell hath no fury... all y'all know the rest. That would be a classic soapy storyline.

@Ringleader. I like your idea of Nina being alive. Maybe she wants revenge as well as her parents. What of det. West is a relative or had a crush on her. Depends how old they both are.

I also agree with whoever said yesterday that West is way too invested for it to be a cool coincidence.

A whole show about Lucy? OY VEY....

Why didn't Lulu say she was married to Dante?

Ring: Don't forget, Pat and Sabrina mentioned a period of time that they did not have sex.....
And, Carlos didn't leave her to sleep it off in her underwear, she was naked.....

Posted by GeorgiaPeach1951 at Wednesday, January 15 2014 01:21 PM

Just a few thoughts on today's show:

First of all, I agree with Ringleader that Steven Clay could possibly have had something to do with Nina's poisoning, or she could have done it herself out of revenge. I just still wouldn't count Steven Clay out - he was truly psychopathic and wouldn't have thought twice about doing it.

Is anyone else as sick of Scott Baldwin as I am? I can't even figure out why he's on my TV. And he's a p/p DA who wouldn't know the law if it slapped him in the face.
Anyone else think Lucy will wind up pregnant?
The top sport in Port Charles: the long jump to conclusions.
Duke Definitely does Not trust Morgan. Has he seen him with Julian? (I can't remember.)
Was it just me or did it seem like West was coming on the Lulu just a little bit?
And once again, Kiki is the voice of reason. Who'd a thunk it?
I'm praying that Lucy is not pregnant. We've got too many who's the daddy s/l's going on as it is.

    Just my opinion.

Posted by GeorgiaPeach1951 at Wednesday, January 15 2014 01:22 PM

That was supposed to be "coming on TO Lulu", not THE Lulu. Sorry, but the years are telling on me.

Posted by lovesdogs980 at Wednesday, January 15 2014 01:32 PM

Or Sabrina could be one of those women who has very irregular periods. Usually the first clue that you are PG is missing your period. Since she didn't mention that when she started tossing her cookies, she could have already been pregnant by Patrick so even if she did sleep with Carlos the baby would be Patrick's.
Also if Carlos is lying to Sabrina about sleeping with her, do you think she would stay with him if she found out? And on GH nothing stays a secret for long.

Posted by ransomha at Wednesday, January 15 2014 01:36 PM

lovesdogs: Depends how into him she is when she finds out.
if they are getting along, Patrick and Robin are happy, he's a good dad , she may very well understand.
