    OT:

Rans-- Sounds like a beautiful morning in your neighborhood! How I envy you the snow. I'm just glad to see the sun for the first time in 4 days.

Scrimmage - I totally concur with your assessment of Maxie. In this latest mess SHE has gotten herself into, she presents the sympathetic plea of wanting to bond with her baby. But it's not about the baby - it's about her. Otherwise she might actually do what was necessary to prove herself worthy of caring for this child. Her actions yesterday validate the judge's ruling, albeit harsh. Connie is a human child...not a goldfish. With Maxie's track record, I think the judge correctly intuited she needed a round of 'scared straight'. It's either going to work, or it's not. Play stupid games, you win stupid prizes. If Maxie doesn't wise up - she will lose any chance of being a mother to that little girl, and she might receive some jail time wherein she can let that reality sink in.

I've avoided commenting on Maxie, because part of me feels sorry for her. She is blighted really -- blighted by her circumstance. She has no reference of what is right and wrong, and selfless. She had no parental guidance. Mac obviously failed or maybe he was too much of a commissioner than a parent. Maxie needs family. Left alone, she is more likely to continue making wrong decisions.

Bash20 ~ Maxie has had family support. She blew off Mac and Felicia about going to the wedding to go over to Spinelli's.
She has had Mac and Felicia's support all thru this latest debacle. Look back on all the bad decisions Maxie has done in the past, She has learned nothing from her past mistakes. Look up the definition of a narcissist, it describes Maxie to a T.

Lovesdogs980 -- Maxie is narcissistic and maybe her family (or lack of it) has enabled her. It is quite pathetic and it is obvious that she needs help.

Bash20 ~ You are right there. Maxie needs professional help, and yes her family has enabled her behavior her entire life.

Bash - Maxie desperately needs help, and will likely get it via the court/judge because of this violation of a court order. Depending on how badly and/or agressively she behaves at Sam's doorstep will determine if she lands in jail, with the next stop being a stint in some kind of mental institution.

While I am sorry for any neglect Maxie suffered as a child, my sympathy and concern is with baby Connie and Spinelli. I sure hope Spinelli will draw a line in the sand, and cease to make excuses for Maxie, thus enabling her dysfunctional behavior.

    Maxie did the right thing.
She got a glimpse of her daughter and now will have to leave town as the draw to be near her daughter is too strong to resist.

Maxie loves her child and make up for lost time when she's allowed to mother her.
Too bad for Connie to miss out on her mother's love during this crucial bonding time in a baby's life.
No love greater then a mother's to her child.

Maxie needs to get that appeal going NOW .
Maxie is loyal and loving and will be a wonderful mom.

I don't see how Maxie's family could've done anything to prevent any of this. Maxie's sister, Georgie came back from the REALLY dead to plead with her to tell the truth and claim her baby, but NOOOOOO! What kind of person ignores a personal warning from the afterlife, and continues to do what they were doing, and then wonders why things didn't go her way? She's lucky she hasn't been turned into a pillar of salt or something. Now THAT would've been a harsh judgment!

    ***off topic NFL***

The Cowboys started off like they thought it was Halloween, but it turned into a Happy Thanksgiving, and control of the NFC East after all. Gee, I love happy endings.

LOYAL?? To whom, her “friends?” Like Spinelli or the Falconeris? To her family she kept in the dark? To the memory of Georgie whose advice she ignored? To her word? Hardly. Would any sane person trust her to properly care for a dog, much less a child?

    Not MY dog.
