    GH Recap: 24 Hours.

    Thursday, November 21 2013
Nikolas gives Robin a pep talk, Patrick and Sabrina choose a best man and maid of honor, and a friend offers to help Carlos with his problem.

At the Metro Court, Felix wonders how Sabrina will make it up to him for being late. She promises him a massage at Deception Spa when it opens. He's worried this wedding will never happen and she worries it's not for a lack of Carlos trying to ruin it. He's told her Robin is alive. Felix considers it could be Robin's ghost haunting the lab where she died but Sabrina's certain Carlos is just trying to stop the wedding. Before they check out the restaurant, Sabrina asks Felix to be her person of honor. She can't get married without her best friend. Sabrina looks crushed when he says no before saying, "I'm joking."

At General Hospital, Patrick checks to see if Elizabeth is okay and asks how court went. She hated testifying against AJ and fears she might have sent him away for the rest of his life even though she thinks AJ was just blowing off steam. Patrick says she can't defend him and the jury has to do their job. She regrets that he ends up alone; whatever happened between them is over. She's glad Patrick found Sabrina though. Patrick asks Elizabeth to be his best man and she can't say no after he thanks her for always being there for him provided he call her his best person. She promises a bachelor party. Later, Felix tries to make a date with Elizabeth to beatify before the wedding but she's leaving for Patrick's pub crawl.

Back at the Metro Court, Patrick and Sabrina are happy with the venue. He's surprised she's being superstitious and is not going home with him. She's not taking any chances, even after all his kisses.

Ava finds Carlos looking troubled at the pier. He's upset over Sabrina getting married tomorrow to a married man. Ava thought Robin was dead but Carlos knows she's very much alive, he saw her and she lied about who she was. Carlos doesn't have proof so Ava thinks it's possible his mind is playing tricks. He admits Sabrina didn't believe him and he hardly believes it himself. Ava advises Carlos should bypass Sabrina and go to Patrick. Carlos thought about that and couldn't do it. Patrick wouldn't believe him anyway and Sabrina's fate is out of his hands and into Robin's. Sabrina's made her choice…he has to accept it. Ava knows what it's like to love someone who doesn't love you anymore. She refuses to talk about who spurned her and offers to go to Patrick for Carlos. He thanks her but knows Patrick won't believe until he sees Robin. Alone, Ava burns Metro Court security videos in a trash can.

At Wyndemere, Robin stares at Sabrina and Patrick's wedding invitation. Nikolas thinks his got lost in the mail and asks whose invite this is. Robin believes it's Ellie's; Sabrina left it while she was in the lab talking to Patrick. Nikolas is glad Robin didn't get caught and is sorry she had to listen to the couple's intimate moment. Robin admits that Carlos saw her instead but he has no idea who she is. Nikolas is concerned but Robin can't make him 'unsee' her. She's more worried that Patrick is in love with another woman. Nikolas reminds her she's almost there but Robin questions if Patrick's feelings for Sabrina will disappear when she returns. Nikolas knows Patrick and Emma will always need her but Robin says, "They have Sabrina, they don't need me." Nikolas doesn't want her to go down this road. In 24 hours she'll have the cure, can save her parents, and then she can tell Patrick she's alive.

At trial, Diane objects to allowing security footage from the Metro Court to be entered into evidence. The defense was never given a copy. Sonny yells that the proof should be allowed. The judge shuts him down only to have Scott agree that the jury should see that AJ is a cold-blooded murderer. The judge allows the court to see the video without the jury. Kiki asks Michael if he's sure he wants to stay. He has to – for both of his fathers. Olivia suggests that she and Sonny leave. He won't. Diane warns AJ to control his looks when the jury returns. Scott starts the video and AJ is seen falling over drunk, making his way to the elevator. Diane's objections are overruled and the video continues to show AJ pull a gun out of his pocket on the way to Crimson. AJ thinks he really did it and says, "I killed Connie." Diane doesn't have a problem with the footage as long as they see the rest. Scott doesn't have more footage, it was destroyed. The judge rules the footage won't be allowed but AJ thinks he killed Connie. Diane is certain that no one will know what really happened until the remaining footage is found.

BTW, I've been wondering how did Robin find time to lighten her tresses while in captivity? Just wondering, as I said.

I am sure that Cassadine Island has a beauty shop somewhere! LOL!

Now I KNOW that AJ did NOT kill Connie!

On second thought, guess she whipped up something fab in that lab!

Well, well now we know it was Ava that killed Connie and not AJ. Don't surveillance cameras have backups? At this rate they won't find out about Ava until AJ is on death row...

Sleazy DA Scotty Baldwin: “RULES? Wee don need no steenking rules of evidence!”

I was pleasantly surprised they they actually acknowledged and debated a real point of law in a GH trial. Now of course the problems with the missing videos (please, NOT tapes! Did this crime happen in 1995?) would've normally come to the attention of the judge long before the jury heard anything about any of this, but I'm willing to ignore that in favor of the generally realistic way that this was handled.

Obviously, there is exculpatory evidence on those discs that would likely exonerate AJ and incriminate Ava, and now that we know that, I'm sure there will be some way to get a copy from the hard drive of the computer. This looks like a job for Spinelli, and since I'm sure Oblivia feels responsible for the problem, she'll probably have him looking for evidence to convict AJ, only to find that it's a different AJ that actually committed the crime.

What did Robin say? It sounded like “How can my boyfriend go to the Prom with some other girl?”

Although she was extra whiny today, I do have to give Robin credit for being surprisingly realistic about what may and may not happen when Patrick learns she's alive, and realizing that his feelings for Saboring won't just disappear. That's how I see it too.

Unfortunately, that realistic outlook doesn't seem to apply to her dealings with Jerry. How can Robin, or Nikolas for that matter, possibly risk everything on the slim chance that Jerry will play fair, and stick to his word and release Robin's parents in exchange for the cure? They don't even have a “plan B” in case of a double-cross. That's being awfully naïve and gullible for two people supposedly as intelligent as Nikolas and Robin.

I'm giving the LINE OF THE DAY to Ava for her reaction to Carrllos' news that Robin, like Julian, is “back from the dead.”

    Ava: “What's one more (zombie)?”

Runner-up goes to Carrllos for his question which could apply to most of what we're seeing.

Carrllos: “Who would believe ANY of this?”

I was thrilled that Felix actually suggested that Carrllos was telling the truth, but that he had actually seen Robin's ghost, haunting the very lab where she was killed. Come to think about it, that would've been a MUCH better story. Oh well, it's too late now, unless we kill Robin tomorrow. Hmmmm...

SPRAY TAN?? ELIZABETH?? Sacrilege! Bite your tongue “Person of Honor.”

Was I seeing things? Scotty set the tapes up by referring to them as the night of August 23, 2013, but I thought the readout on the video itself said 9/23/2013. When Ava got ready to burn the tapes, I thought I read 8/23/2013.

Bayou ~ Think Ava had something to do with that?

Posted by bayoubtr at Thursday, November 21 2013 01:11 PM

Lovesdogs-- But why didn't anyone viewing them catch that? Surely if someone watching from 30 ft. away in their kitchen could see it, somebody 6 ft. away should have caught it.

I thought it was me seeing things. I definitely saw 9/23 on the date stamp. And if AJ was that falling down drunk, there was no way he would have hit the side of a barn anyway.
