    **off topic **

Lily - have a great trip. You might want to stay through Monday night, I don't have a good feeling about our BEARS.

bayou - stroming here too, had some brave or sugar deprived souls, but not as many as last year. We did a little Halloween party for they kids early evening, had the small neighbor kids over, everyone had a good time. Who do the Saints play?

The most likely suspect for where Emma is learning all this is Felix. All this seemed to start upon her spending time with him. Patrick should really consider finding a new adult chaperone when one is needed. Felix's talents are in fashion, not babysitting.

Poodles – As a mother of little girls, you would surely know better than a simple, unfrozen caveman like me, but isn't the whole “I'm going to marry Cameron” stuff from Emma typical of the normal fantasy games little girls like to play, like playing house and having tea parties? After all, no one says anything about them acting inappropriately for their ages when they play with dolls and pretend to be mommies, or play dress-up with mommy's clothes, makeup, and jewelry. What's wrong with them pretending to add a husband to the mix? Personally, I think that would be an encouraging sign to see that they associate a traditional marriage with being grown up and having babies.

Kids mimic what they see their parents, and the other adults around them doing, and with all the marriage talk, and how gooey her father and Saboring have been acting lately, I can see how Emma would want to have a “pretend” boyfriend, and announce that she was going to get married too (at ElectraBase of course). At least it's better than Emma being painfully shy around boys, and let's face it, flirting is an important social skill that some girls develop early on, and in order to master it, they need to practice it like they would any other talent, because when they do get good at it, it can be like a super power, and as any superhero worth his or her cape will tell you, “With great power comes great responsibility.”

I didn't see Emma doing anything today that could remotely be interpreted as “slutty” by even the most priggish observer. “Flirty” yes, and maybe a little too forward, so yes, Patrick should probably talk to her about offering to let boys kiss her on the cheek, but that's about as far as it goes. Now if she started lifting up her skirt to get their attention, THAT would be a big red flag, and the kind thing that would have to be nipped in the bud, but Emma's behavior is nowhere close to crossing that line. It all looked pretty harmless to me, and as far as I can see, Emma IS just being a little girl.

It's not like she was twerking doing the Hokey-Pokey.

I never really understood what was meant by a soap couple having 'chemistry' until I watched Faison and Frau these past few episodes, and they certainly have it. A lot of actors don't do comedy very well, but these two are bickering like an old married couple. All we need now are the misremembered memories of how and when they met, like the Maurice Chevalier/Hermoine Gingold song in 'Gigi' - "Ah yes, I remember it well". I hope they can manage some way to neutralize them as villains and keep them around. Perhaps the US could refuse to extradite Faison for crimes committed outside the US and they could open up a German hostel.

Don't any of your other posters remember your kindergarten and elementary school boy friend/girl friends? In reality it was an innocent friendship with the opposite sex, just choosing one above the others, absolutely nothing sexual about it. We would tell our mothers that we were going to marry our little 5-year old friend when we grew up - it was just a word to us - a part of growing up.

I had a great Halloween. My nearby town closes off the main highway to traffic and hosts a street party for a bew blocks of the downtown. All the children, their parents and pets gather in costume to parade down one side of the street then the other in a circle. There is a band and dancing for a couple of hours and all the restaurants and sidewalk cafes are open. It is worth it just to go along and watch the fantastic costumes. I put mine together from my closet in about 10 minutes - Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's, long black dress, pearl choker, elbow length, gloves, sun glasses, clutch purse and a BIG hat. I did get one child knocking on my door at 8:49 p.m. which I thought was rather too late, especially as we have no street lights where I live.

Can anyone tell me how to minimize or get rid of the ads on the right side of the screen as they ovelap the comments typing pane and I cannot see what I have written until I go to the preview. It makes editing very difficult.

I like Sabrina and Carlos together, but an incident occuring in my locality has me thinking twice. A young mother and her children are missing and there is a massive search involving police from several jurisdictions going on. Her husband of two years has admitted to killing her with a karate chop to the throat but won't say what he has done with her body, or the wehereabouts of the children - hence the search Both are of Puerto Rican heritage. Although the missing woman worked and was one semester from completing a degree at a prestigous private college in Central Florida, her husband was a member of a notorious Latino street gang and career criminal with a prison record and a history of violence. Prior to her disappearance he had violently confronted her at work accusing her of having an affair with a coworker.

These attacks on women by jealous ex hubands/boyfriends seem to be occuring daily in my area. The message seems to stay away from the bad guys, especially if you have small children. They are not as attractive as they might seem.

Good Morning All: Hope your Halloween was fun and safe. I watched the Halloween episode last night on Soapnet and it was great. First of all, it was enjoyable to have Halloween silliness and frivolity for a day to break up some of the SLs that are either dark or droning on and on. What I liked best about the Halloween epi was chemistry displayed by two couples. Cynic I agree with your comment about Faison and Frau Blucher and their chemistry....they are hysterical together....like Fred and Ethel Mertz. I do hope they are around for a while. They are very entertaining. The other chemistry couple I loved was Carly and Franco. I love their scenes together. Have always been a Roger Howarth fan, and I really want to see these two end up together.

Scrimmage..For a simple, unfrozen caveman, you correctly summed up Emma's imitating what she sees happening between Sabrina and Patrick, I'm sure she also remembers the love Patrick and Robin showed each other, which reinforces the family unit. This was nothing more than child innocent play.

Cynic...I do remember picking the boy who I would marry one day at Emma's age, and much like children get tired of playing with a toy, picking a new one a week or two later.

There are often posts complaining of children used to provide angst with terminal illnesses, kidnappings, custody battles and even killing them off that we would appreciate some lighthearted, innocent scenes between the very young actors.

Casey1: It wasn't just Emma saying "you're my boyfriend" It was her overly flirtatious mannerisms. The hands on the hips, the sexy little smile, the little wave. , and longing look as the boys left.
If she was dressed as Cinderella and said " be my boyfriend" it might have worked. But being dressed in skin tight cloths, full make up and hair and raising her father's eyebrows showed it was too much.
    She's 5 not 14.

IMO, we don't need to "sex up" our kindergartners . BUT, different strokes for different folks.

Ranshoma - your point 'cinderella ballgown vs skin tight clothes' is well taken. At some point some kiddie beauty contests took this turn in the road. These contests are not something I have ever been interested in, but unless you are out to lunch and out to dinner, you see in the news that some child contestants are frankly 'tarted' up. That's kind of sad, and I'll leave it at that.
