Scrimmage (my buddy wrote) "The truth of the matter is, for untold generations the accepted child rearing unit has been a mother and a father, and preferably only one of each. In my opinion, any other variation can't help but be less than ideal to the natural development of almost any child."

I had one mother and one father, but I also was lucky enough early in my life to have a set of grandparents as well as 7 uncles and aunts. In addition, I was lucky enough to have a best friend whose parents were both creative and able to teach the lessons of success. Each one of these wonderful people gave me their wisdom and shaped the person I am today. Sorry to disagree with you ,but I think it does take a village.

I just thought of something that I'm sure the writers have forgotten, but as I remember Sonny swore to Luke that he would protect his daughter and grandchild while he went off to search for his cure. He's not going to be happy with his old friend.

ME, ME, ME is all Lulu cares about. She lied on that adoption application and has just as many nuts and mobsters in her family that are questionable. And, let's not forget the time she went on an adventure posing as a hooker and being responsible for Lupe getting killed. She is no saint either. Why is Maxie surprised at the lengths Lulu will go to??? I certainly am not! I really hope her husband can talk some sense into her. And, Lulu expects Sonny to help them?? Hasn't she always treated him like a lowlife??

Michael and Kiki-ho hum-I don't really care about them one way or the other.

I don't blame Ick for not believing Moron. He sees the spoiled brat betraying his own father so he is supposed to trust him just because Moron says he can???? I don't think so.

I was ROTFLMAO when Olivia suggested to Sonny that Dante talk to Julian. Somehow, I think Mr. Jerome would wipe
the floor with the little pipsqueak. Dante wouldn't scare a fly, much less a big time mobster.

Um, Olivia, Julian still think his secret is safe-hmmm, I wonder if he will blame Moron when it comes out. Anyway, Sonny wants it kept that way, you know, to have an advantage.

Wait...what? Dante the cop is bringing his newborn down to the docks where dozens of people have been murdered? He personally investigated many of those crimes. Now who's unfit to parent poor little Spilante?

southGAgirl-prayers for Lil Charlie. He is in good hands.

I am feeling not too bad. Of course, once Friday is over, it might be a different story. I am very slowly getting my energy back.

crbu - I'm so glad to hear that you're getting stronger every day.

Boston Terrier - You're so right. What could go wrong with Olivia, Dante, and the baby having a "mob info" meeting on death pier...

Lily hunter – Let's examine some of the factors that could disqualify these pillars of the PC “village” as Spixie's potential caretakers, shall we?

    Team Lante:

Luke – Absentee father with no visible means of support, a dubious reputation, and a record as long as your arm.

Laura – Mentally unstable multiple murderer.

    Lucky – Weepy deadbeat dad.

Nicholas – A Cassadine. 'Nuff said.

Ethan – Not exactly parent material.

Olivia – Overbearing grandmother who claims to have had psychic visions that the baby was a jackal.

Sonny – Bi-polar, manic depressive, egotistical crime boss, with zero social skills, and a habit of smashing glassware.

Michael – Sister-in-law boinking, step-mother slaughtering, ex-con with anger issues.

    Moron – Moron

    Chrissy – Moron

    Team Spixie:

Felicia – Deadbeat mom with the world's most annoying voice.

Frisco – Deadbeat Dad and scratch golfer.

Mac – Bartender, fired Police Commissioner, former bar owner, and one time mercenary.

Which one would YOU entrust with the responsibility of raising a child? On paper, Mac seems to be the least harmful, but one look at what's happened to the girls he raised (one murdered, one HIV positive and blown up, and one a lying, scheming, baby swapping pseudo surrogate), and no judge in the country is going to hand him ANOTHER little girl. Poor Spixie is DOOMED!

Lily hunter – I'm not saying that an extended family or community can't contribute to a child's development, but that is no substitute for a complete set of devoted, loving parents.

Did anyone else like Nulu better when she was shacking up with Milo, before she regained her memory, and became a baby obsessed shrew? If they had just left well enough alone, things would've worked out much better for everyone involved, especially Milo and Spixie.
