    Let's Go Get Our Daughter.

    Thursday, October 17 2013
Robert and Anna argue about going to Cassadine Island, Britt doesn't want to wait for Anna's help, and Robin learns about her parents.

    (ABC)

At GH, Sabrina overhears Patrick discussing Anna on the phone with Duke. He wants to tell Anna about Robin's call. Unlike Sabrina, he doesn't believe the phone call was nothing. She thinks he heard what he wanted to hear. Patrick knows Robin's voice…if it wasn't her then who could it be? Sabrina's certain there must be some other explanation but her attempts to find one fail. She doesn't want this to get to him. It's the last thing Robin would want.

At the office, Shawn and Sonny discuss their reasons to doubt that Derek is Julian, especially since they look nothing alike. Duke joins them and Sonny's shares the trouble he had with his recent shipment. Duke's surprised that they've been told Julian Jerome is alive. He was killed by Jonathon Paget who assumed Duke's likeness with plastic surgery. Paget's dead as well and can't verify the story. Robert Scorpio was the one who discovered Julian's body. Sonny remembers Robert's habit of faking deaths but Duke's certain he wouldn't lie about Julian. He believes the name is a coincidence given Julian only had one son, Lucas. Sonny asks how much he knows about Derek. Duke explains how he got his job after Derek questioned him about his mob past. Sonny thanks him and congratulates him for being on the straight and narrow to be able to work with Derek. Alone, Shawn believes Julian's dead but Sonny thinks Julian Jerome is a symbol of what Duke left behind. Duke wants to believe he's dead and buried, but it doesn't make it true. Something doesn't sit right with Sonny and he asks Shawn to stick to the Jeromes.

On Cassadine Island, Robin converses with Ben and tries to figure out how to create another cure in time to save Jerry. She's surprised to see Anna standing in the lab entrance. Robin rushes to hug her and quickly is distraught when she hears Obrecht's voice taunting her. Obrecht peels off her mask, laughing. Robin wants to know what Obrecht's new plan is. Obrecht needed the mask to procure someone. Suddenly, Faison joins them. Robin asks him to stay away as Obrecht introduces him to his grandson. He's happy to be there but wishes it wasn't at Anna's expense. Robin's concerned for Anna but realizes her parents are looking for her when Faison lets it slip that Robert's awake. He told Anna she's alive. Faison confirmed it and was willing to bring her to Robin. Obrecht claims Anna has no proof and it's doubtful she believes Faison – Anna will never find Robin. Robin realizes they messed up. Nothing will stop her parents from finding her.

Britt watches her mother's video on Nikolas' plane. He's certain Obrecht could be on Cassadine Island. Britt can't imagine her mother is in Greece but Nikolas believes she needs a base of operation and Cassadine Island meets her and Faison's needs. Britt knows her mother is capable of anything, including breaking Faison out of jail. She realizes Nikolas knows something. He believes something went down at the facility holding Faison. Britt wants to know more about the island. Nikolas shares about his life story growing up on the island and being raised by his uncle until his grandmother pulled a coup. Before landing, Nikolas is notified of Anna's missed call.

In Switzerland, Robert practices using a cane while Mac wonders why he's worried about Anna. Robert is about to tell Mac something when Anna arrives. Mac is eager to help them on whatever case they are working on. Anna needs a minute with Robert alone and Mac leaves. Anna admits there were complications getting to Faison but Robin is alive. She recounts being jumped by Obrecht before she could agree to go with Faison to find Robin. Anna has no leads and isn't sure if Faison was even telling the truth. Robert knows the truth, Robin is alive. She answers a call from Nikolas and surmises Obrecht and Faison are heading there. She orders Nikolas and Britt to stay off the island. Robert won't let Anna leave him behind. He knows Cassadine Island and can get into the compound undetected. She wonders what they'll tell Mac if he leaves in his condition. Mac walks in and wonders what's going on but admits as much as he misses the work, he has to get back to Port Charles. With Mac gone, Anna has no more excuses. Robert's going with her.

On the plane, Britt argues with Nikolas. She doesn't care what Anna told him. She's going to the island to find her son.

Tomorrow’s Port Charles spoilers for General Hospital:

Someone pulls a gun on Nikolas and Britt.

Sabrina wants Carlos to be ashamed of himself.

Tracy regrets leaving the doctor on Cassadine Island.

Elizabeth tells Patrick that Robin's not coming back.

Jerry asks Robin for her last words.

Didn't you just love it when baby Ben pulled Faison's hair? Priceless! Couldn't script that! Guess Ben knows his foes already. Pretty savvy!
Nothing like seeing the Scorpio brothers together again--along with Anna, of course. Made me long for yesteryear.

hope this time they kill obrecht and faison. I am tired of the story lines with these two.

    Hi everyone,

First I have to mention the scenes with Faison and Ben were really cute, especially when Ben was imitating the sounds Faison was making.
I don't think anybody was fooled that it was the real Anna in the first scenes with Robin, but I can imagine the letdown and disgust Robin felt.
I'm disappointed in Anna and Robert's decision not to tell Mac about Robin, he could definitely be an asset to the rescue mission and they could use all the help they can get.
Duke and Sonny's conversation was a little odd. I was under the impression that Duke had his suspicions about Derek because of his involvement with Ava.
It seems that Robert will be inserted in the Jerome story with their past history once Robin is rescued.

Casey-- I also found Duke's story a little strange. I thought the whole reason he insinuated himself into Derek's business was to get info. Maybe Duke has an agenda of his own and knows how volatile Sonny can be when he goes off half cocked.
Faison & Obrecht are the epitome of skank. I understand the concept of private planes, but exactly how does one who has escaped a maximum security prison get thru customs? I get Obrecht as she has the latex & fake I.D.

Where do they get these adorable babies? Today, Ben accomplished the impossible, and no, I don't mean being the first newborn to stand up at less than a month old. I'm talking about how he made his “Grossvater” (emphasis on the “gross”) Faison practically endearing. I couldn't keep my eyes off the two of them, and they made me chuckle out loud more than once. Ben's expression the first second he caught sight of Faison was hilarious. It looked as if he was thinking “Whoa! Now, here's something new. WTF is THAT?” Later, when Ben was sitting on Faison's lap, he turned to look up at who was holding him, and was so shocked, he burst out crying, but it was only a minute later that he was trying to imitate his grandpa's funny faces and noises in the cutest thing I've ever seen involving a supervillain.

Ben is literally a scene stealer, which is fortunate because Robin's acting was terrible today. She was totally unconvincing both in portraying her elation at what she thought was the sight of her mother coming to her rescue, and in the way she showed her disappointment in reaction to Frau Blücher's amusing little prank (what a joker!). If that's all we're going to get out of Robin after all this time, and this long build-up, when the real reunion happens, it will be a huge disappointment.

Robin's melodramatic “Oh, no. No, PLEASE!” watching Dr. O remove the mask was laughable, as was the sight of her banging on the door and making empty “You'll be sorry” threats to empty walls, like a petulant thirteen year-old who's been grounded and sent to her room. I guess Carly, Ick, and Frodd aren't the only adults being written to behave like teenagers on this show. It's just that despite becoming a doctor, a wife, and a mother, Robin hasn't seemed to mature very much since she was dating Jason (against everyone's advice), and now she's just sitting around, like she's waiting for her mommy and daddy to come pick her up after a party went bad.

I know this is all setting up the inevitable “I always KNEW you'd save me” line from Robin when Robert and Anna do come to her rescue, but that is totally not true. Even at the beginning of this episode, it's pretty clear that Robin has inexplicably put her faith in Jerry Jacks keeping his promise to release her in exchange for the cure, pinning all her hopes of ever being reunited with her family on the word of a known killer, a pathological liar, and a master manipulator, whose own freedom would be jeopardized if he let her live to tell the world that he's still alive. Good plan, Robin. Instead of trying to cure Jerry, she should be focusing on escaping, but in any case it's obvious that until today, Robin had long since given up on the idea that Anna and Robert were coming to save her.

Nikolas Cassadine flying commercial? I guess times are tough all over. Watching all sides converge on Cassadine Island is like watching guests arrive at a party. Enough with the build-up! Let's rock and roll, already!

Why is it that even when someone is helping him out, Sonny can't come across as genuinely gracious or even appreciative? He treated Duke like he was something he scraped off the bottom of his shoe, and his snarky, dismissively superior attitude is just as rude and unbecoming when he does it, as it is when his son Moron does the exact same thing. It's like what Frau Blücher said about Robin, which is doubly true in Sonny's case.

Frau Blücher: “(Robin) has an inflated opinion of herself.”

Yes, but it's nothing compared to Sonny's. His ego is so massively inflated, he could be his own balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Bayoubtr...I have to give Duke points for not mentioning his conversation with Alexis to Sonny. Duke may not be a popular character, but I like this character and if he wants justice for himself and Anna for what they lost due to the Jeromes, I say go for it, Duke.
Speaking of planes. Why were Nik and Britt flying commercial? I thought he would have his own plane.

Why is Anna treating Robert like a delicate little flower?????
This makes no sense. Maybe the writers are just stalling for time to make the big reveal of Robin being found until sweeps in November. I want her found now.

I hate that new ad at the top of this page for Disney takes over the whole GH sheknows site for a few seconds when you first try to bring up the page.

Speaking of flying commercial, it looks as if tomorrow Luke & Tracy will go home the same way. I thought she had the SS Lila docked off the island????

    Happy Thursday Everyone,

I know this was a build up show today, but I enjoyed watching the veteran actors play off each other. I could have done without Sabrina and her every increasing attempts to grasp at her last thread to hold on to Patrick by using the not wanting to upset Anna excuse, but I have a feeling this will come back to bite her.

I'm guessing that Duke wants to be the one to prove that Derek Wells is really Julian Jerome and that's why he was rather tight lipped with Sonny today. I guess he's gearing up to compete with Robert but we all know what happens when he tries to do that. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Anna and Duke go to Sonny and ask for help in searching the background of Ava? I'm glad that Sonny is sticking to his instincts because for once he's right. I do find it offensive that he would speak of Robin's father as a cop who lied. I'm hoping to see him say that to Robert's face.

No couple has ever mastered the banter like Robert and Anna (I know the ins and outs of Cassadine Island vs You're not strong enough to go). I do wish that they'd wasted less time with the banter and more time calling the WSB props department to order Frau Blucher and Faison masks before leaving for Cassadine Island. After all, four can play dress up so close to Halloween. I'm giving the line of the day to Robert telling Anna that "Now, its time to start acting like a hero".

Britt and Nicholas are going to be a great couple. For once, Nicholas isn't the damaged lonely prince to be saved by a woman, only to be destroyed by said woman. Of course their family tree will have some very twisted branches.
