God I dislike the stereo types. I guess all if not most Hispanic or Latino men must look super greasy. Carlos looks like they ddropped a whole bottle of oil on him and most of the time Sonny does as well. How ridiculous.

@Scrimmage I am right with you there with the Sam/Patrick deepening friendship and maybe taking a turn for the romantic. They are two gorgeous people who lost there spouses around the same time. They understand each other more than anyone else can and the chemistry that have is palpable. I think they are pushing Sam and Silas because Kelly Monaco and Michael Easton are a former supercouple from the soap Port Charles and the writers think they can duplicate it by forcing it instead of letting it happen. I honestly think they could get the chemistry between them if the writing wasn't so blatantly forcing them to be together. Like it is kind of weird for Sam who finally gets to be a mom what she wanted more than anything to deal with a new relationship with a guy who tried to take Rafe away from her while dealing with the cancer of her son which is her most special link to Jason. You are right it is so forced and unnatural while Sam and Patrick is like flowing water it happens without really trying. And if Sam and Patrick were a couple and Robin came back in the picture it sure as hell would be harder for Robin to get Patrick. With Sabrina it is not even a contest and if the writers try to make it seem so I will laugh right out of the room.

Lily - a BIG Happy Birthday from the Poodle family to your SO. Hope you both have a wonder and fun evening.

    GO BEARS!

Cynic - I agree with you. I find Carlos to be extremely sexy.

    OT:

Poodles-- Thanks! Last report has the storm skirting the coast & heading east towards Mobile & Pensacola. You know I can't agree with the Go Bears thing! LOL! Hoping for a good, clean game. Hope you & the Poodles clan have a great weekend.

Akita-- Stereotyping always makes me remember my 4th grade boyfriend Teddy. He & his family were Cuban exiles who moved in down the street from us. He had wavy blonde hair & gorgeous green eyes, but it was the accent that pulled me in.

Bay -Exactly! We come blonde with blue or green eyes also.....AND, not that it really matters but very pale white skin also. For some unknown reason we're usually portrayed as dark or olive skin only. I don't get it.

I guess I'm going against the grain, I don't buy Patrick and Sam being so chummy. He hated Jason, she had to beg him to operate on him. Not sure but, I don't think Sam was that fond of Robin. Just can't see them together, not really even as friends.

Posted by bayoubtr at Friday, October 04 2013 07:26 PM

Thundering-- Since when has past history ever bothered these writers? I agree, Patrick couldn't stand Jason. He basically didn't want to operate on him. But, for some reason, it's time for us to forget all that went before. (people like you & me don't forget.) Just another instance of invisible ink.

    LOL that's right Bayou

    off topic

Hope you make it through Karen. My sister is planning on riding this one out at the Grand Casino in Biloxi, that is if it doesn't close because of the storm.
