I guess the nicest thing I can say about the way Maxie went about trying to do something nice for her best friend would be to say that she's the World's. Worst. Re-gifter.

I thought today's show was excellent overall, but I also thought some performances were outstanding, while others, not so much.

I agree with whoever said that this was one of Dante's best performances ever. He was pitch perfect in his portrayal of a man whose heart has just been crushed by an unthinkable betrayal, and is very angry about it. He is seething with rage, and as intimidating as I've ever seen him. Excellent!

Nulu was pretty good at the righteous indignation stuff, but I didn't feel the depth of her sense of loss. Perhaps she's too angry right now, and that will almost certainly come later, but watching her today, I couldn't help but recall that some poster had once said that the actress didn't cry very well, or at least convincingly, and that seemed to be the case today.

Maxie also seemed a little flat, although I don't blame her for feeling sick to her stomach watching her whole world fly apart, and the end of her life as she once knew it. (Thanks a lot, Brad!) And even though her excuses rang even more hollow when spoken aloud in the chapel, I thought she lacked energy in her self-defense. Perhaps it was a lack of conviction about the purity of her own motives that I was picking up on.

Britt, in contrast seemed believably frantic about her baby, and as confused about her mother's motives as we are. I get the feeling that Nikolas is going to be doing a lot more consoling before it's all said and done.

Anna was superb today, showing a wide range of emotions from grieving mother to hard nosed cop. Wonderful!

On the other hand, Alexis was uncomfortable for me to watch for some reason. I kept waiting for her to do or say something to embarrass herself, but thankfully, she never did. Still, her weird mannerisms around Ick are confusing to say the least. One second, she giving him an eyeful of her girls (and I don't mean Sam and Molly, although those would be good names for them), and the next, she running away from him as if he just mentioned he had a slight case of leprosy! She's usually much better at the comic relief stuff.

Even though Ick knew that Alexis had somehow stumbled onto the truth, he still looked at her like she was a tinfoil hat wearing kook the way she was spouting her far fetched theories about how HER Julian might be THAT Julian, even though THAT Julian is supposed to be dead, but is in fact, sitting right in front of her, dressed like George Strait without the hat. The sad thing is, when you hear somebody lay out that current subplot the way Alexis did, it sounds even MORE ridiculous than it seemed when it was just hanging out there for us to swallow, like a worm on a hook. Unfortunately, I just can't enjoy watching Alexis flirt with a cold blooded killer, and I cannot invest in them as a couple after seeing what he's capable of. I certainly don't want Ick anywhere NEAR Danny or Molly. He can have Rafe, though.

Patrick's ring ceremony seemed ultra contrived to me due to the Robin tie-in. Shortly after the Nurses' Ball (which was when I originally expected Robin to show up), I posted that the next opportunity for such High Soapiness would be for Robin to return on Patrick and Sabrina's wedding day, but I thought that would be at least a YEAR down the road, not mere months. I can't see a quickie wedding happening before she shows up, but of course, I was wrong about Maxie and Britt racing to the maternity ward on the same day, so what do I know? Robin's going to gum up the works between Drake Jr. and Sabrina no matter what, that's for sure.

    Speaking of High Soapiness...

I can't wait to see Oblivia, Mac, Felicia, and Anna's reactions when they find out what Maxie has done THIS time! And SONNY! Holy COW! What will Sonny do? THAT'S what soaps are all about. It's like watching a wildfire spread. No matter how dreadful it is, it's hard to take your eyes away from it.

    Speaking of dreadful...

As much as I love GH, I am also conflicted because I am SO sick of the way this show puts every baby in mortal danger, every time, without fail, and usually before they're even a week old. Can't they see how redundant that is? It's pathetic that professional writers can't come up with something else to heighten the drama without resorting to pushing the most primal button in any human being by putting an innocent and helpless child in harm's way just to get our attention. It's either that, or they blow something up, or kill somebody, and toss them in the harbor, but that's still preferable to taking children away from their mothers, or making them desperately ill. I simply don't find that entertaining in the least, and I know it doesn't have to be that way. At least, not EVERY time!

Lulu has a right to be upset with Maxie; however, referencing old things that Maxie has done doesn't help the situation as Lulu, herself, has done some terrible things in the past.

Loved seeing Robin's scenes. I think even though she left the DVD telling Patrick to move on and be happy, it is quite hard when it is a reality and staring you in the face. So of course she will be surprised. It doesn't matter -- Robin's back.

Thank you so much for the information. I am in Mass. and actually have a Petco not too far from my home so I will have to check it out. I had just never heard of these and anytime I can give my darlings a treat it makes us all happy. The kittens will have to wait but their poor mom could use a treat!

    Hey, Scrimmage 3,
It appears to me that it is YOU who is fixated on the ACTOR. As I said before, you appear to have made the actor's PERSONAL and PROFESSIONAL choice your own obsession.
Saying "I am getting pretty sick of Kimberly McCullough" sounds pretty much like a PERSONAL attack to me.
And "questionable PROFESSIONAL choices"? How do you know about her "failed career as a hip-hop dancer" and that no one saw her "OFF-OFF Broadway play," etc? That does seem to be a direct criticism of the ACTOR. Who are you to question her professional--or personal choices? That's talking about the PERSON not the CHARACTER.
It's eerie and more than a little creepy how you presume to know what is in the actor's mind--her motivations, etc.
I wonder also why you would spew your venom against her on this public board. Seems inappropriate, at the very least.
You say there are plenty of other posters who have expressed similar opinions; I don't recall ANYONE else voicing as much hostility or as nasty a PERSONAL attack as you have unleashed against KM. Seems w-a--y of proportion. Again, I wonder WHAT GIVES?

Re Maxie: I didn't comment on her at all, but YOU did--saying you LOVE her still--while calling her character AMORAL (and defining the word for all the rest of us!)

    Good Morning All!

    WOW! This epi was intense!

So ready for Robin to get back to PC & the ones that love her! I really didn't like Patrick taking off his ring just to please Sabrina! I feel she should have stopped him! Hurry up Robin! Hurry & go take your man back! Send Sabrina packing back to PR!

Robin must have given Jerry a good dose of the temp. antidote, cause he looks good for a man that has been poisoned way longer than Luke..Luke looks like death warmed over!!!

I can't wait for Anna to get her hands on Dr O'B!tch!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let Anna go all super-spy-mode on her & kick her azz from here to BumFu'k Egypt! As much as I can't stand the B!tch I hate her Mutter even more! I do feel for the B!tch with her crazy Mutter taking Baby Ben! If I was her I would be so scared of what that crazy V!tch would do to him! I know that some how that Baby Ben has been tampered with some how before being implanted in the B!tch & that is why Dr O'B!tch was so happy to see him & why she stole him...I'm sure she will torture Robin somehow with the baby! Either telling her he is Patrick's or that he has the same thing as Jerry & Luke & it is up to her to save him...not sure just what yet!

    OT
Hope everyone is doing fine today...had a very bad night...leg cramps & charlie horses in both legs all night. Plus I have a place on the bottom front of my right(bad)leg where it meets the foot that looks like a blood clot...gonna call the dr's today to see who I need to see. Gotta also call the ins co. to see if they have reached an agreement w/my cardiologist so I can see him & them pay...Hope you guys are doing better than I am! Off to read the posts!

Scrimmage- Glad to know I am not the only one who finds the character of Robin to be a self righteous snore. Everytime KM leaves the show I hope it is forever, but she always comes back!

Just wait until Sonny hears about this!I see a meat hook in Maxi and Spinelli's future!

Boston Terrier, you're absolutely right! Lulu, Robin and Elizabeth always acted like they were better than everybody else! Maxie tried several times to tell Lulu and Dante what happened, but they would never shut up and listen! And since she never planned for them to find out, she didn't thinks he was hurting them! Irrational, but not deliberately cruel as Dante accused.
