    OT...Bayou....

Watching Darren Sproled, he reminds me of Ray Rice. They're both

A very long post cut in 2 parts on todays events. This is just my opinion so feel free to skip it if you disagree with me about the show and don't like long posts.
    Part 1.
I try to stay out of discussions where some viewers are upset at a plot or story line that is not going the way they want it, or why so much angst is put on different couples because I too me this is the way soap operas are written since before I was born.
Same goes for the oldest of old plot lines... back from the dead characters.  There are several soap staples
     1.Pregnancy Who's the Daddy.
    2. Something is wrong with the baby so real daddy will find out he's the baby daddy.
3.Back from the dead characters wives, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends, mothers, fathers, now grandfathers, evil villains and children now with a grudge why didn't you look for me to said father or mother.
    4. Sicknesses that are deadly except for this character who can miraculously be operated on by super star doctor and fully recover in a week with no loss of hair or scar on there head from giant tumors, think Jason twice, Franco. Then there is  gutshot Johnny Z., Dante, Sonny, Olivia, Kate(the first time) Franco. No scar.
These are stories that keep viewers watching or they wouldn't use them over and over again

    Part 2.

Now to get to my take on the Robin s/l. They wanted Robin to still be alive I think,  JMO, as she is the survivor of HIV and it's for that reason they kept her alive and I'm glad they did. I think if Kimberly McCullough had not agreed to come back they would have recast her part because it's just way to good a s/l to leave her dead and see how everyone will react when she comes back. You may be surprised how the s/l progresses.
It always makes for good angst when the wife or husband comes back from the dead just as the character has moved on.
I don't fault the writers for going this route and I don't fault the actress
Kimberly  McCullough either. I ,for one,  even knowing Robin was alive really dug the scenes with the deeply grieving widower Patrick as he struggled to just remain alive for his daughter. I never felt cheated as the actor Jason Thomson's portrayal of Patrick's grief was so palatable you could almost taste it and it made me forget Robin was alive during those scenes.

Those who didn't like Robin to began with won't be happy she is back. I , for one, am very glad. JMO the partnering of Sabrina and Patrick wouldn't have worked if the Robin character was dead. Just no spark there.
Kimberly  McCullough's got a long term contract so no worries on her having to leave again. We have enough characters with OLTL actors added on that if Kimberly wants to take a few weeks off they can explain her absence by being busy in the lab.
All I can say thank you writers for bringing Robin back and I'm so glad it's Kimberly McCullough. Can't wait to see what happens next.

I'm glad Lante finially knows the truth. If I was Lulu I would have punched Maxi's lights out even though they were standing in a church. Legally the baby is Lante's and I hope Spixie doesn't get the baby back. Maxi had plenty of chances to come clean. If she so loved her baby and wanted her baby she would have. She put the idea of NOT being a failure over what was the right thing to do.

Brit on the other hand I think has no idea the true dna of her child. I want it to be hers so bad. I like the charater so much more since she has given birth. I like she stopped her mom from hitting her and she stood up to her. To bad the baby rat er Ben is now been kidnapped. But hopefully we get the Prince is shiny suites to the rescue again.

God I want to smack Maxi.

Oh and if I was Brit if they question her about baby Connie. Just act scared and say but I don't want my other leg broke. That should be enough to get her out of trouble.

Lilyhunter wrote"Dante and Lulu don't need to get antagonistic until they have a DNA test"

I disagree. If Maxie and Spinellie think the baby is biologically there's, for all purposes they still lied to their best friends and Lante should be upset about it.

As this these actions being out of charater.. sometimes good people do bad things -really bad things.. and bad people do really good things. Does that change the core of who they are no - but sometimes things happen that we just don't intend. I believe punishment/praise is still do regardless of a persons goodness or evilness.

lovely: GREAT post and I agree.
Robin is a veteran and I never believed she was dead, even when they blew her up! Like you said, too important of a character and s/l.
Can't wait for her to come back!

Watfan: I don't think Connie/Georgie is legally Lulu and Dante's.
    Their child was miscarried.
This child is not theirs in any way actually.

I too like Britt and hope Ben is hers.

    Have a good day everyone.
