    Scrimmage,

I agree with you about the character of Robin, and Kimberly M who plays her. Actors leave soaps all the time, to pursue other projects. It's typical. But usually it's up to power's that be to decide if the character would be recast or not. With KMC, it looks like because she created the role at an early age that she doesn't want anyone else to be able to play that particular role.

When an actor decides to leave that role for whatever the reason, the writers and producers decide if would be beneficial to have the role recast to keep or produce new story. The audience can mourn the loss of the character or hopefully wait and see if they would recast that character of we would think that would make a difference.

To have someone say that they want to leave, but leave the character in limbo just to have the actor able to have an in or way back in if her directing career is not picking up.what about the other actors who came on since then to provide story and support other actors in the storyline. Links for instance, the actress who plays Sabrina, when Robin comes back, she'll be reunited with Patrick and the actress who plays Sabrina will be let go for storyline reasons.

AuntieTT – Thanks for the back up, and just think of all the time we wasted watching them turn Sabrina into a “Cinderella” metaphor leading up to the Nurses' Ball. All that pink, WASTED!

Scrimmage, I'm taken aback at your unnecessarily harsh and demeaning comments about a person you do not know. You say no one saw KM's "off-off" Broadway show and scoff at her failed career as a "hip-hop dancer."
    Again, why?
How many other actors try something new? How many PEOPLE try and fail at something new?
To dislike her so very intensely, you seem to know a lot about her.
Let's look at Genie Francis in comparison. Do you think she held the show hostage when she left the show to try other things? And even with her obvious importance to the show, didn't Luke go on to Jackie Templeton, Holly, Tammy, Felicia, Tracy, etc., etc.? And, most importantly, look how she has been treated by TPTB just because she dared to speak some obvious truths.
It's not about the ACTRESS; it's about TPTB, AND THE WHIMS OF PRODUCERS, ETC.
And what about all of the other actors who have left and come back on all of the other shows?
That's why I asked you WHY? It seems beneath you (or anyone else, for that matter) to appear so mean-spirted and plain ugly about one actress who has been acting since she was a small child. Like Genie, who came to GH at 14, I can empathize with the actors and feel their attachment to the show and their desire to work with those people they have worked with for many years--so many that they must seem like "family."
Finally, I guess I just cannot understand how you are directing so much venom at KM. And aren't you the one that is often the arbiter of what should and should not be posted on this site? And haven't you often espoused saying nothing personal about the actor--but posters are "allowed" to talk about the character? It seems that you are really pushing the rule with your comments about KM.

I enjoyed the pace of the show today, the longer scenes, the intelligent dialogue from Anna. I like scenes where I can identify with the emotions of the characters and get involved in what is happening. Writers, keep it up.

    Nancy Marie,

Yes, other actors have come and returned many times.Vanessa, Genie, and others alike have left daytime to pursue other projects. But none of them has ever rejected of ever coming back to daytime. Actually, most of them of them said that they would come back if it was the right time for them.

KM has made it clear more than once in interviews, that she was done with acting and wanted to be behind the camera directing, because it was her passion.other actors like Vanessa, Genie etc, have wanted to come back at different times, but the writers didn't have story ,or a place to bring them back at the time.

Scrimmage and I aren't trying to being hateful to an actor, but to have an opinion of a subject that is irritating to us.

    Hey AuntieTT,
But I DO find Scrimmage's comments, as I said in my two previous posts, to be out of bounds and personally directed to KM--and I'm really at a loss to understand WHY; thus my posts.

I loved seeing Robin - yayy - she is coming back. This will be interesting. - The acting from Lulu when Maxie told her about the baby was phenomenal. Very very Real! She deserves an emmy just for that acting alone. Wow!
Carly and Franco - no! No chemistry -- where is Jax?
Morgan is gorgeous -- great actor --. I was sorry to see Patrick take off his ring, but I understand where he was coming from. == Love Derek/Jerome and Alexis - CHEMISTRY!
DO NOT kill off Luke. = Cant wait for Robert to rescue his daughter- he should be the one to do it. YES! Great Show writers!
