    OT

akita...I had disc replacement surgery at L5-S1 on Feb 25th of this year...I had fallen off the wobbly steps at my old house & landed on my right hip & blew my disc out completely so my L5 was grinding on my sciatic nerve...I tried having an epidural first & it did nothing for me (that was from the pain management dr) so I went back to the Neurosurgeon & he suggested the surgery...after the surgery he told me that the nerve was all ground up & that it would take months to heal...at first it was a little bit better..then it started getting BAD again...so when meds didn't help I had to get another MRI last week & he only told me yesterday that the nerve still looked bad & that there was arthritis in my right hip also...so he gave me a steroid injection in my hip..it felt like he gave me several but he kept the needle in & just moved it around to send the steroid in different directions...he used 4 vials...I could feel it going through my hip & upper leg as he did it...Hoping it works!!! Thanks for the advise & for asking, girlfriend!

4ever and bay- thank you! My job is going well and my bday and my hubby's (9-11) we'll celebrate as soon as I take care of my stomach issues.

Sfcom - Good point. When I say I don't like or can't stand, I'm referring to the ACTING not the character or person. I can't DIS-like someone I haven't had interaction with.

Root - I agree about heather coming and going as she pleases but then again so many things on the show are such a joke, nothing surprises me.

    OT:

SouthGA-- Glad you're getting some relief. Are you working or did you take some time off?

Posted by akita at Tuesday, September 17 2013 07:14 AM

South- that grinding is extremely painful and at times for me it felt like I was stuck and couldn't move my legs. My injections were right between my disks in my lower back and I felt nothing. Again, it can take a long time bfore you feel any results but when it kicks in you're almost as good as new. Good luck. Ill be due for new shots soon.
