Well, what do you know, Julian Jerome is back, and if I was right about him being Sam's dad, I'm doing a serious happy dance!!! Lucas can be the donor for Danny and Felix gets a love interest, win-win!!!

Ladyofhearts-- Might be time to drag my Ouija board down from the attic. Could have some valuable PowerBall info for me.

Good show today. The winning scenes for this episode were between Ava/Duke and Connie/Derek. Carly was the sensible parent today.
Anna and Dante comparing notes on Franco's shooter, along with her conversation with Duke, is going to help point the finger at the Jeromes, specifically Ava.
Kiki's paternity can come out from two sources with Connie determined to expose the secret to save her magazine and Silas testing her DNA on the sly.
Sonny's life is going to be turned upside down with the knowledge that he knew about Kiki, with Carly, Micheal and Morgan feeling like he betrayed them and will turn against him. Connie betraying him at a time he needed her the most is going to hurt and I can't see a happy ending for her, which will be a double whammy for Sonny.
The Jerome's are back in town and seem like they mean business, which poses another threat to Sonny. I think it's time for Sonny to increase his medication.
Does anybody think that Julian Jerome was a patient of Dr.O's at the Swiss clinic? Is he another of her patients she brought back to life?

Loved Carly/Sonny scene Carly wasn't happy with Sonny today at all.

Posted by Scrimmage at Thursday, August 01 2013 01:22 PM

The LINE OF THE DAY award goes to Carly, who didn't recognize Sonny today, and it wasn't because he was smiling and happy.

    Carly: “Who ARE you?”

He's the guy you chose to raise your children with. How's that working out for you NOW, Carly?

Connie confused me for a minute. I had to check the closed captions to see that she told Ick. She said “There's nothing erstwhile about Sonny.” Oh. I thought she said “worthwhile,” which made perfect sense to me.

I'm surprised Morgone didn't choke on his words when he lectured Michael about how they're brothers, and how they should have each other's backs. He's got a lot of nerve saying that when he's letting his brother believe a lie. I don't blame Morgone for being angry that Michael kissed Kinky, but he acts as if Michael was the only one involved.

Not only is Morgone unlikeable, he's an idiot, too, according to Sonny. Even Carly couldn't understand his explanation that Morgone wanted to marry Kinky just because he thinks Carly and Sonny are documentary film fans.

Carly: “How can Morgone possibly believe that we love Michael Moore?”

How could anyone believe anyone loves Michael Moore?

Duke it OUT! I loved Duke's tough guy act with Ava, while she was wearing a slinky dressing gown. It was like a scene out of an old 40's crime drama. I half expected Duke to channel his inner Jimmy Cagney and shove a grapefruit in Ava's face. She sure has made herself at home in the house that Alan gave Monica, but with Duke and Anna on her trail, she probably shouldn't get too comfortable. And WHY is she carrying around her daughter's birth certificate? It's the only think that could blow her plans out of the water, and she treats it like an old kleenex!

“Julian?” So That's why DerrICK is such a prICK, and has a big stICK up his ass! He's a Jerome, just like Ava, which probably means he's one sICK puppy. I wonder if she's a Jerome by marriage or birth? She's either his sister, or his ex, and either way he's probably Sam's father, and Ava could be Sam's aunt. Can Alexis pICK 'em, or what?

Gee, another amazing coincidence, where Sam's father JUST HAPPENS TO show up in town at the exact time Sam finally decides to find him. The writers rely on chance so much that the laws of probability have been repealed in Port Charles. It's like everybody on the show grew up and lived their entire lives on a tiny island (NOT Manhattan), and are all related to each other in some way. Ick probably has no idea he's Sam's father, and from what little I've seen of him, I seriously doubt if he even remembers Alexis, or their back seat quickie. He probably won't even allow himself to get tested just out of spite, thinking Alexis would sue him for back child support payments.

I think Spinelli is the only unrelated character on the show. We've met Epiphany's mob hacker son, Stan, who was the victim of yet another unsolved murder, and we've heard Sabrina talk about her cousin Juan, a former short-time GH character who ended up marrying Rebecca Herbst, while her soap husband, Lucky was getting hitched to Lisa V., the girl who played Sonny's lover and substitute Brenda clone, FBI agent, Hannah. Man this show really IS incestuous!

Anna and Dante seemed pretty clear on the facts of the case concerning Oblivia's shooting and the dual botched attempts on Frodd's life, which is pretty remarkable, considering they have no corroborating evidence to support any of their theories connecting Sonny to the crime. They're basing their whole case on the fact that Sonny exchanged some harsh words with Carly, as if there could've been only one thing they might've been arguing about. Try selling THAT to a grand jury. They've made NO progress in the case, and in the meantime the victim, Oblivia, has made a full recovery. That's GH in a nutshell: amazing doctors and lousy cops.

Speaking of doctors, has Slimas been tested to see if HE'S a match for Danny? Why not? Medically speaking, it's beyond any possibility that if Danny's uncle – his father's twin – was a perfect match for him that anyone from his mother's side of the family would also be a match, but in yet another amazing coincidence, Sam's father, Julian will JUST HAPPEN TO be a one in a trillion match, who JUST HAPPENS TO be in town at the perfect time.

Gee I love good writing. Too bad there isn't very much of it on this show.

The writers of GH have absolutely destroyed this soap. Every story line is absolutely ridiculous.

If Ava IS Sam's aunt, then that makes Kinky, Slimas and Ava's daughter, Sam's cousin, which is too bad because I wouldn't mind watching Sam and Kinky making out. Hey wait! The cousin thing didn't stop Michael and Kinky so...

And wouldn't that also make Dr. Slimas Sam's Uncle somehow?

    JEROME'S cont'd:
    Olivia is deceased, as well.

In 1990, Julian headed up the Jerome organization. He wanted to neutralize his sister,Olivia, and kill the man who was claiming to be Duke, even though this man looked and sounded differently. Julian's plan was to kill Duke and frame Olivia for the murder. But when she heard of his plan to kill Duke, she had to warn Anna. Before she could, Julian shot and killed her. Later, Julian and Duke got into a struggle and both were shot and killed. But it was revealed that the man Julian killed was not actually Duke, but an imposter, Jonathan Paget; and Duke was actually alive.
