    I Know This Place.

    Friday, June 14 2013
Franco attempts reconciliation with his daughter, Morgan moves out of Michael's apartment, and Tracy confronts Luke.

At Kelly's, TJ informs Shawn the prom is cancelled due to the shooting at the Metro Court. Shawn's distracted as TJ describes what he heard happened. Shawn lets him know Danny's sick. TJ's about to leave for Molly's when Taylor arrives. She models off her dress and fishes for a compliment. Taylor won't stop talking long enough for TJ to explain there's no prom. He finally blurts it out. Taylor's very disappointed until they decide to go out on a date. Privately, TJ asks Shawn to check on Molly. Shawn leaves Felix in charge but it doesn't take long for Taylor to lose him so she and TJ can go out alone.

At home, Molly tries to tell Alexis there's no prom as her mother spins her around in her Cinderella-blue dress. Alexis remembers confronting Shawn about the lies while Molly explains that Olivia was shot. Molly thinks Alexis knows something about the shooting but Alexis blames her distraction on Danny's health. Rafe arrives before Molly has a chance to call. She regrets he had to rent a tux. Alexis is interrupted by a call from Diane. She hangs up with disappointing news that Rafe has to leave Port Charles tomorrow with Silas. Knowing it's their last night, Molly drags him off for a walk when Shawn arrives to bring TJ's well wishes for Danny. Alexis doubts that's why he came. He admits he's there to check up on her. She interrupts to attack him for his lies and points out that he was the one who was trying to shoot Franco.

Luke steps over yellow police tape to make it to the bar at the Metro Court. Tracy asks what he's doing when she catches him pouring a drink. She's upset about not hearing anything yet on his lab work. He changes the subject but Tracy doesn't let up until he confesses the results are in. Luke doesn't know what's wrong and isn't eager to find out. Tracy calls him a coward and leaves him to his drink. Alone, Luke calls his doctor.

Michael stops by AJ's office. It's only a matter of time before Franco knows he's the deciding vote. AJ knows Franco's already aware since his visit the night before. He adds that it coincided with Lauren's visit. Michael's surprised she just showed up on their doorstep. AJ convinces Michael to visit the house to win Lauren over. He's about to tell Michael her nickname when he receives a call and gestures Michael can leave.

At the Quartermaine's, Franco's introduction to Alice fails when she closes the door in his face. He doesn't give up easily and the two of them struggle with the door. In the living room, Kiki/Lauren calls Morgan to share her good news of living in the lap of luxury. Morgan doesn't think they'll be that bad off that he'll have to move in as he plays online poker. She cuts Morgan off when Franco arrives and tells him she'll send a car to pick him up. Kiki/Lauren throws something breakable at Franco when he asks for some sugar. Alice is hesitant to leave Kiki/Lauren alone with her father when she asks Alice to pick up her boyfriend. Kiki/Lauren is certain she can handle Franco and gives Alice the address. Franco is pleased they are alone so they can get to know each other. Franco pours his heart out to her about all he's lost and sacrificed. He hopes they will be able to reconcile. Kiki/Lauren is so moved that she runs off to be alone when AJ interrupts them. Franco is disturbed by AJ's blundering moment that tears his daughter away from him. Tracy overhears and offers Franco a way to get even by using his shares.

Morgan gets off the phone and concentrates on the poker site at Michael's. When his credit card is denied he inputs Michael's. Michael comes home and thinks Morgan's hiding porn when he slams his laptop shut. Michael doesn't think Morgan needs to move out when he starts to pack, but he remembers the awkward moment when he almost kissed Kiki/Lauren. Michael shares his problem of having to go suck up to his newly found cousin and retreats to the shower. Alice arrives and carries out Morgan's heavy luggage. He recognizes the female wrestler, the Dominator, and wants to introduce her to Michael. Alice hurries Morgan along and they're gone before he exits the shower. He's half-dressed when Kiki/Lauren arrives crying. She's confused by what she was told growing up and what she knows now about her father being alive.

Morgan arrives at Kiki's family's home psyched to be living with the Dominator. He stops in his tracks when he realizes he's at the Quartermaine's.

Monday's Port Charles spoilers for General Hospital:

Alexis knows Shawn has replaced Jason.

Taylor tells TJ that Molly is history.

    Morgan realizes Kiki's a Quartermaine.

Kiki's upset that Franco wants a relationship with her.

AJ offers Franco redemption over revenge.

After all the excitement that took place this week today was a real let down. Other than hearing that Rafe has to move in with his uncle who's probably never going to leave Port Charles again I didn't care c
About the cancelled prom, or the pretty prom dresses. I wanted to know about Danny, Olivia,, and sonny and how angry he is.
I'm not interested in Morgan's gambling unless his father sends him to rehab for help. And, what's wrong with Luke.
Hello to all poster friends and happy Friday.

    HELLO Ttoyou! xxoo!!!

After all this time, the show should be back on schedule, but I can't decide if today's episode, ending with Michael and Kinky's embrace, Alexis' confrontation of Shawn, and Luke making a doctor's appointment qualifies as a Friday cliffhanger or not. Maybe, but it didn't really feel like one to me. What do you guys think?

No PROM!!??? After all this angst? Whatta letdown, and not just for the kids. What is the school thinking? This is a once in a lifetime experience that their students have looked forward to all year, if not longer, and you just cancel it, willy nilly? Here's a thought. Why not move it TO THE SCHOOL? Idiots!

I also don't see why a shooting on the terrace would cause the hotel to shut down a ballroom in a completely different area of a huge property. I worked in hotels for years, and they wouldn't cancel any event if they didn't absolutely have to, so I've got to think that it was the school that cancelled the prom, not the MetroCourt. If they made that decision, I wonder if they're prepared to at least refund the students tickets? I can't believe there was no effort made to relocate to another facility or back to the school. I smell a rat! I think TPTB just didn't want to a pay bunch of teenage extras, or to spring for decorating a prom set that would only be used one time, even though they already have the ballroom set from the Nurses' Ball, which is what I was expecting to see. Maybe they borrowed that one. Instead, they saw this as a cheap way out, and now all they have to do is find a way to put the four teens together, which is all they really cared about doing anyway.

To add insult on top of injury, Alexis gives Molly and Rafe the news about the judge's ruling in the guardianship case. Then she spoke the words that were like music to my ears, so I'm giving her the LINE OF THE DAY.

    Alexis: “(Rafe) has to GO!”

Ahh, if it were only true.

Molly, I'd like to introduce you to something we call “real life,” where things aren't always “fair,” and bad things happen to good people all the time. There's usually nothing you can do about it, either. Congratulation on your graduation from high school. Now it's onto college, where if you're lucky, and you work hard, after four years you'll be one of the 5% or so who actually graduates and goes on to find work in their chosen field, hopefully one that pays well enough to retire your student loans sometime before you're forced to retire, after which time, according to statistics, you will shortly die, long before you can spend the majority of any savings or pension benefits which you may have earned throughout your life, and after you're gone, Death Taxes will reduce what little you are able to leave behind for your family to almost nothing.

Gee, is it any wonder that I never get invited to give the Commencement Address at graduation ceremonies?

Why, why, WHY have we never had a storyline built around Alice's other life as “The Dominator?” Instead they give us vampire wannabe's, evil (or at least extremely rude) twins, sick or switched babies, hapless hitmen, shot psychics, and tainted relish. WHY??

Practically straight from the horses mouth, Frodd may as well have chiseled it in concrete over the entrance to the Q study: "The Man that I was before is DEAD!"

Franco the obsessed psycho, and (alleged) serial killer is dead and gone, and he's never coming back. He died with Jason Morgan. Long live Robert “Franco” Quartermaine.

Of course, it's absolutely absurd to think that Frodd would be cleared of all charges, much less that anybody, especially his family, would ever accept him as a “new” man, but we all know they will eventually, and I can live with that. I never cared for James Franco's version of the character anyway, and if this is their way of reinvigorating the Q's as the core family on the show by adding some new blood, then I'm all for it.

There are much worse stories going on to complain about, like Danny's illness, but I'm determined to FF through most of that for however long it takes. You don't cure that kind of problem like they do brain cramps and bullet wounds on this show, where they just magically disappear, and leave no scars or lingering disabilities. I have no desire to sit through one minute, much less several months of watching Danny and his family deal with this unnecessarily depressing storyline. After everything he's been through, the worst thing Danny should have to worry about is a bad case of diaper rash. Period.

Yes he is, and Alexis and a cancelled prom are the least of his worries. Gee, thanks a lot Carly.

I agree on Diane. She's a real disappointment and her efforts were too little too late.

Overall the show was pretty boarding. With only Tracy and Luke's short/small story and Alexis thinking about Shawn's involvement, it just wasn't enough. The show was almost entirely about teens and teen issues. Oh yea and Todd acting as Franco. And how long are they going to drag finally saying that Lauren is Kiki in front of Michael?

I spent most of the show rubbing Kai's tummy.

    ***off topic***

I'm just a simple, unfrozen caveman, but I've often wondered why it's okay for a guy to rent a tux for the prom, but a girl has to BUY her dress, which she will likely wear only once, like a wedding gown. Why can't girls rent their outfits too? I'll bet somebody does that somewhere, but it's certainly not a common practice.

Almost forgot, I hated Molly's dress. Those dresses are no longer in style for proms. I was surprised, you would think they had something a bit more fashion forward. It looked more like for snow white.
