From-- Well if there were a lot of Liz's in your younger days then there might be more "little froms" than you're aware of. Hope your doorbell is in working order.

    **********************OFF TOPIC-PREAKNESS**************

I read where the "pace" for the Preakness was the slowest in 20 years. Oxbow got an easy lead and those who thought "would" never "did" challenge him and Oxbow had plenty left in the tank. Closers never had a chance....

So far - 15 probables in the Belmont.

Thank God I don't live in Port Charles....Nobody has a doorbell OR peephole....What a nightmare....BUT NOBODY comes to Phoenix in the summer anyway.

From-- Nobody comes to Phoenix in the summer because you leave them on a 180 degree tarmac for 2 hrs. while you take your power nap.

bayou.....You were actually lucky. It sounds like you were here during one of our "cool" spells. 180 degrees doesn't sound too bad.

    ***************OFF TOPIC HORSE RACING*****************

I see where they are planning to run Orb.
I read where the track in the Preakness was very deep particularly down close to the rail. It may have contributed to Orb being leg weary when it came time for him to make is run. It certainly looked to me in the middle of the race he was laboring and lost several places. I don't think he made much of a run to get 4th as much as some of the others were backing up.
I will be interested to see how Palace Malice does in the Belmont. Curlin ran with Rages to Riches the whole way and only lost by a little. He was giving away 5 pounds to the filly and she was fresh and rested and Curlin ran in the Derby and won the Preakness before running in the Belmont.

    CONTINUED*************OFF TOPIC*****************

UNLESS you were going by what the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce told you. They tend to underestimate the summer temperatures in order to draw more (gullible) tourists.

From-- We were actually on our way home from Vegas where it's a good thing you can travel underground. I don't think I could deal with that scorching sun all summer. Don't know how you do it.
