OT Maja. Sounds like that comment was for me. I used to watch OLTL years ago, so I am familiar with the characters. I can recall Starr as a little girl. But..what did they add to GH??
John leaves, Todd leaves,Starr leaves. They are good actors, but I am sorry but my opinion is they didn't do much for GH.

Fromthestart – RE: Luke and Laura.

Luke and Laura started out as badly as any couple you could imagine. She was the All-American Girl Next Door and he was the Lowlife Hippie son of a drunk, who was raised in a brothel. They had absolutely nothing in common and couldn't have been a more unlikely pair, so naturally they were extremely attracted to each other, but Laura was underage and engaged to Scotty. One night Luke, drunk and depressed because he was expecting to be killed at any moment by the mob, and overcome by passion and desire, couldn't control his feelings for Laura any longer. He was determined to not let her deny that she shared his feelings, and he forced himself on her. That was horrible, and afterwards Luke was disgusted with himself, devastated by guilt and regret that he violated and defiled the most pure and innocent person he had ever known, and the only woman he had ever loved in his entire sordid life. Laura never pressed charges, but she rejected him, turning to Scotty and agreeing to marry him, but in spite of everything, Luke was right. She actually DID love him.

Luke broke up their wedding, and he and Laura went on the run together, although their relationship was not romantic at Laura's insistence. It was during this time, when Luke was doing everything in his power to make up for his mistake, trying to keep Laura safe, and hoping to earn her trust, and perhaps eventually win her love, that the couple captured the imaginations and the hearts of millions of viewers, as they watched this wild haired, smooth talking confidence man and the radiantly beautiful, but surprisingly strong willed and resourceful object of his desire slowly get to know one another and learn to depend on each other while, much to their surprise, falling hopelessly and deeply in love. When Laura finally declared her love for Luke, and the “Walls of Jericho” (a blanket Laura hung between their beds) finally came tumblin' down, the whole nation cheered because it proved that love can indeed conquer all. When they became a real couple, they took romance to a level never before seen on daytime television, with their fantastic dance in a closed department store, and the biggest wedding in TV history. There has never been a soap couple that seemed more deeply in love than these two. When they looked into each other's eyes, you could almost see the connection between them. They were pure magic together.

At least, that's the way I remember it.

OT: @around that comment wasn't meant for anyone particular. If some think it was meant for them sorry, I was just writing what I felt and if it seemed harsh I apologize.

Scrimmage - Not to mention that Laura evolved from the wide-eyed coed to a member of the team (Robert, Luke, & Laura) that saved the world from Mikos Cassadine.

around 4 years.....using your reasoning I do believe there are more than a few GH characters we would be better off without....but that's just my opinion I suppose.

Correction: Luke broke up Scotty and Laura's MARRIAGE, not their wedding.

Scrimmage- By the way you forgot to mention that Bobbie wanted Scotty so badly she brought her brother Luke to PC to "distract" Laura while she went after a drunken Scotty.

maja...remember we shouldn't have to apologize for our opinions even if not popular. That's what this board is about....

from - You're so right. No one should have to apologize for their opinions here. IMO the use of the word hate, haters, etc. is in direct opposition to what we all want to exchange with each other.
