    ot - prayer

Just wanted to pass this along to all those in need of and all who know someone in need of this.

Lord, look upon me with eyes of mercy. May your healing Spirit rest upon me. It is through Your power that I was created. Since You created me from nothing. You can certainly recreate me. Fill me with the healing power of Your spirit. May Your life giving powers flow into every cell of my body and into the depths of my soul. Mend what is broken. Cast out anything that should not be within me. Rebuild my brokenness.

Restore my strength for service in Your Kingdom. Touch my soul with Your compassion for others. Touch my heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch my mind with Your wisdom, that my mouth may always proclaim Your praise. Teach me to reach out to You in my need, and help me to lead others to You by example. Most loving Heart of Jesus bring me health in body and spirit that I may serve You with all my strength.

bayou, I hope you're wrong about the vampire storyline continuing. I had hoped it was over. It's getting ridiculous. If I see anything about it, I'll let you know.

It's cooled down the past week. We had a bit of rain recently and we are expecting a mild 24C today. It's going to heat up again next week. Great!

    Casting talk:

If Dr Doofus isn't being killed off, how is he leaving the show? Believe it or not, I have no idea. LOL....

Vampires and relish. Is THAT what this show has been reduced to?

Anyway, lots to discuss about this pivotal episode, the most positive being the end to this ridiculous vampire storyline. I think the low point of this whole thing was when Lucy, the Worst Vampire Slayer EVER! thought she was going to save the day. Lucy said she had been looking forward to saying one last thing to Clayleb before she put an end to him with her mini crossbow. And what was this phrase that she had fantasized about for the last decade, probably at the cost of her marriage and her reputation?

    Lucy: “Goodbye Caleb. TA!”

“TA???” Seriously?? You've waited more than ten years, and the best Vampire Slayer catchphrase you could come up with is “TA?” Does anybody watching who's not on the verge of collecting Social Security even realize that that's Lucyspeak for “ta-ta,” which for a brief moment in time, somewhere around 1968, was a chic way of bidding someone goodbye, but nowadays usually refers to boobs? “TA?” Sheesh!

Why didn't she just shut up and pull the trigger? Did she miss the day in Slayer School when they covered the part about the element of surprise? That's funny, because she didn't hesitate to stab McBat without any warning, and HE wasn't threatening anybody at the time. Lucy's problem: Too much talking, not enough slaying. That was Clayleb's downfall too. He must've gone to the Joe Scummy Jr. School of Villainous Overexposition, because for awhile there I though he was either going to talk everybody to death, or bore ME to death, just like when Scummy chose to discuss his life story with Nuke before he offed her.

The fight to the finish between Clayleb and McBat was slow and unrealistic because they had to keep the stuntman turned away from the camera, so all they could really do is hold their pose and grunt at each other. Lucy (AGAIN) was utterly useless because while Clayleb was occupied with McBat. She tried to free Sam, instead of, you know, SLAYING THE VAMPIRE! Hello? The old battle ax was RIGHT THERE (and no, I don't mean Heather). Nevertheless, good triumphed over evil and guess what? No combustion, which means NO VAMPIRE. Of course, that wasn't enough to convince Lucy that she HAD been delusional all these years, so McBat had to tamper with evidence, pulling out Clayleb's fangs to hand to a completely grossed out Lucy. Then after Clayleb was dead, McBat said he was going upstairs to call for help, which makes me wonder why he didn't call for help as soon as they found Danny. Speaking of Heather, if she turned herself in, why didn't she tell Anna where Danny was?

Ghost Allison opened another can of worms that should've been left alone. We could've written off her conversation with Lucy as a hallucination caused by a concussion, but Rafe didn't bump his head. He ALWAYS looks that way. Why didn't Allison tell Rafe if his father was really a vampire or not, and what his real name is. For an all-seeing spirit from the afterlife, she's pretty useless, visiting with her little boy while people are fighting for their lives nearby. Well at least she has access to hair products and makeup, not to mention some impressive bling and couture. I'm sure she was relieved to find that the Afterlife isn't all white robes and feathers with sandals after all. Still, this opens the question of where's Ghost Jason? Why does Allison get to come back for a chat with her loved ones after being killed on the docks, while Jason is still feeding the fish? Is he such an Afterlife @$$hole that he's not as concerned about Sam and Danny as Allison is about Rafe? Does he still hold such a grudge against McBat that he's looking down and saying “Screw it! Let HIM save her.” I guess we can only assume he's in some other dark, evil place that doesn't allow visitor passes, by which of course I mean “The Young and the Restless.”

I think Lucy summed it up best at the end when she cried out:

“I don't understand ANY of this!”

Neither do I, and might I add, I don't care either. I'm just glad it's over. And it BETTER be over.

    Hi everyone,

So Starr is now a scientist, fully capable of deconstructing a recipe to determine the exact mixture of ingredients. Seriously, I've never seen her open a can of chili, or for that matter, do any sort of research. I would think Ellie would be the woman for this job, but I guess Starr is now a savant.

Too bad McBat said the two words that every horror/sci-fi movie fan hears as there's going to be a sequel: "It's over". I can only hope I'm wrong, but I'm thinking that RC is going to pull a vamp out of his hat again. Geeze, Hels is so much scarier. I guess he doesn't like strong well dressed women.

Going back to the theme of it's not over...Dante, why would you still be thinking about the cute doggie?

Oh Duke, you're not the love of Anna's life and once she finds out that he's transitioned into corporate theft, I doubt that she's going to co-sign a happily ever after mortgage with him.

Stupid Steven Lars lives for another day. Drat, now my master plan to reunite Olivia and Sonny has been thwarted again.

Oh, I forgot to add that the more I see of AJ and Liz together, the better I like both characters. The road to redemption fits them well.
