Enjoy the year Rains....When the Cardinals acquire Alex Smith they will be a team reborn. And yes I am well aware that Lucy is where she is because she is delusional.

Frisco's back? The King of the Deadbeat Dads returns to the scene of his crime? Why? The years have not been as kind to him as it has to others, like Felicia. I guess he's spent a few too many afternoons on the back nine, because he looks a little weather beaten. I never cared too much for the character of Frisco. What was he, a pop singer or a spy? Whichever one he was supposed to be, he was pretty mediocre at it. He wasn't as good of a spy as Robert or Anna, and he didn't sing as well as Noah Drake / Eli Love / Rick Springfield.

The problem with having real vampires in Port Charles is that there will be vampires in Port Charles. Does this mean that Lucy really IS a Slayer, and that Sam is Kevin's unremembered daughter Livvie? Ridiculous! Sorry, but General Hospital is NOT a supposed to be a show with a heavy supernatural element in it, and this story is so far removed from the usual continuity that it threatens to taint other storylines that have nothing to do with Lucy and vampires. If Patrick is about to lose a patient, will he ask Caleb to bite them so they'll live as the undead? Is the Floating Rib going to have “Plasma Night” drink specials for all the undead coming to town? It was fine thinking Lucy was simply delusional, and that all the events on the show "Port Charles" happened in her head. She was always close to the edge anyway, so it wasn't too much of a stretch to believe that she finally went OVER that edge, but once you allow for the existence of vampires, you're headed down a slippery slope of acknowledging all manner of supernatural beings and forces. We already have a psychic; what's next? Ghosts? Angels? Witches? Fairies (and don't say Felix)? Voodoo? That stuff is NOT what I tune in to GH to see.

Why Dr. Britt didn't rat Maxie out completely is beyond me, but I suppose they intend to drag this farce out until the baby (or babies) is born.

    PURE SPOILER FREE SPECULATION:
If they continue recycling every tired soap cliché in the book like they have so far, Ellie will regain the use of her legs and will be walking down the aisle to marry Spinelli, when Maxie goes into labor and delivers twins, one Lulu and Dante's, the other hers and Spinelli's. If this was any more predictable, we wouldn't need Oblivia to be a psychic.

Speaking of predictions, I said a long time ago that Heather would lead Todd and Lucy out of Ferncliff in the GH version of “The Great Escape.” The only things I got wrong was that I thought Nuke would be joining them, and that I thought they'd go through the sewer system. All I know is, if I was in charge and all the incompetent employees of Ferncliff walked off the job, I'd be jumping for joy! I'd either replace every one of their butts, or I'd shut down that leaky sieve altogether.

I don't know why Liz is always propping up Sabrina instead of participating in a storyline of her own, preferably a budding romance with AJ, but Britt/Maxie vs. Sabrina/Liz at least should be interesting. Personally, I think they should settle their differences in a mature, civilized manner. Tag Team Bikini Mud Wrestling!

    OT:

Lily-- I forgot to ask you yesterday, how were you going to prepare the oysters?

    OT
bayou - If it had been warmer we would have grilled them or fried them, but it was too cold. I'm a big fan of the raw oyster.

    OT:

Lily-- They haven't made the oyster I can't eat, but one of my favorites is to wrap an oyster about 1/2 a waterchestnut-tie a piece of bacon around it & skewer it, top it with pick-a-pepper sauce & broil.

bayou - That sounds delicious. I'm not a big fan of the butter and cream stew, but occasionally I'll make some if the weather is really cold.

Scrimmage - Or even better, the Britch will tell Lulu and Ellie will be the one who has to run the DNA test.

Posted by bayoubtr at Monday, February 04 2013 03:22 PM

Lily-- Ellie running the test is pure genius!
