I enjoy shows like this with lots of conversation between the characters. Even if I don't like them. It often sets up events that will happen later.
I am still not having much sympathy for Connie. One minute she's saying I killed my son like so what and the next she's sobbing in Tracy's arms. As an incomplete personalty, she seems to have all of the angst and none of the other more sympathatic feelings. She said that Kristina had a screw loose? She has 2 or three.

Unfortunaately, Emma's actions are typical for a young child who has undergone the loss of a parent. If Dr. Britt had treated her differently she could have won her over. 6 year olds are not that difficult to win over. Yes, she has chosen Sabrina as her favorite because she treats her warmly, but Dr. Britt always wants to get rid of Emma whenever she's around, and Emma is smart enough to sense that. Then dumb Dr. Britt comes right out and tells the child that dhe doesn't like her. Who does that. I'm sure Patrick will talk with Emma after she has had a good rest, and she will be ok. Children can sense when adults don't want them around.

Tracy is so stupid she doesn't realize that not only will she go to prison if she reveals the story, but she will be penniless and homeless once Monica finds out what she did. I guess she didn't think of that. She has always been such an evil, unhappy woman, what man could ever tolerate her, plus she has very masculine mannerisms. I have never liked the character.

Kristina is acting much like Starr did after Cole and Hope were killed. Michael was able to forgive her and testify for her after she went after Sonny with Johnny's gun. She was only a milisecond away from killing him. Not much different than Kristina. Sonny had defused the situation and then Connie had to bait her again. If she had kept her mouth shut, she wouldn't have attacked her again.

da_kid, I believe Tracy is very aware of what she was doing.
Connie asked her several times if she wanted to do this and what the consquences were to her. She said YES do it.
She may regret it later, but she knew what she was doing.

Casey1 – I also thought it was very interesting to see characters in scenes with different member of the cast than usual. Duke and AJ? Didn't see that one coming, but they DO have a lot in common. It's good that AJ is expanding his circle of people who will be loyal to him. Somebody should tell Duke to go easy on all that “win back the woman I love” stuff during business meetings. That's SO 1985.

I don't think AJ will be too happy with Connie's decision to publish Tracy's dirty laundry, but hey, it's news, and I thought the pairing of those two strong women was as fascinating as it was rare. Have these powerhouse actresses ever shared a scene together before? I can't recall them ever speaking, especially Connie, but not even Kate. Was it my imagination, or did they actually bond? Connie also needs to expand her circle of friends, since she's only got Oblivia right now. Tracy could be a possibility, if she wasn't probably going to jail.

That's another example of a well known character being written to do something contrary to their own best interests. Johnny's apparent preference of jail over marriage and his decision to confess, instead of just leaving Connie, was completely out of character, just like Tracy's “scorched Earth” attitude towards ELQ. She obviously ISN'T fit to be the CEO if she's willing to do this to the company. She's also screwing with her own sons' inheritances and her father's legacy. Why didn't she talk to Ned before she did anything? What was the big hurry? The Tracy I know would NEVER scuttle ELQ in a fit of pique. This is NOT like her.

Waaaay back when Connie and Johnny blackmailed Todd into making her a partner in his publishing business, I predicted she would become his managing editor. Kate was so limited as a fashion magazine publisher, but as a tough talking, no nonsense newspaper editor, Connie has all kinds of potential! Now if only she'd hire Spinelli as an investigative reporter / blogger, and bring Diane back as the gossip columnist, we'd be getting somewhere.

Gee, you just gotta love Mac don't you? He's the best, most clean cut, and up front guy on the show. There's no hidden agenda with Mac, and he always seems to know exactly what to say when one of his girls is in trouble. He's been there for Robin, Georgie, Maxie, Felicia, Anna, and now Emma. They are so lucky to have a guy like that in their lives.

After they teased us that Nuke was going away with Trey to LA, I'm not getting my hopes up that she's actually going to spend any time in jail, although I think it would be the best thing in the world for her. I just hope the judge orders a psych evaluation, and since she's demonstrated a tendency to be violent, he should send her to Ferncliff, with Heather, Todd, and Lucy, just in time for the riot in the nuthouse when they all try to escape together.

I can just picture Lucy and Nuke, cuffed together, slogging through the sewers, complaining every step of the way, while Heather leads them as if she's done it a million times before (because she HAS), chatting all the way to her literally captive partner, Todd, who is handcuffed to Heather. He would admit out loud that he's a horrible person, but that nothing he's ever done merits the punishment of being chained to these three crazy women... in a sewer.

If they put that on Pay-Per-View, I'd fork over ten bucks to see it.

I have a question. When Skye got the information on what Tracy did with the Soleito money she told Edward. He then took steps to ensure that ELQ would be safe from SEC investigation. If this is so, isn't the only one who will be hurt by the information Tracy gave Connie is going to be Tracy. Does anybody remember this?

I'll reserve the brat name for Tracy today not caring anyone but her own hurt feelings.

Posted by Scrimmage at Tuesday, January 29 2013 03:59 PM

I don't see how this revelation will bring down ELQ. It's survived far worse scandals than this. All AJ has to say is that when he uncovered the evidence of Tracy's illegal activities, he demanded that she step down, and support him as CEO, which is the truth. In these sort of things, the authorities look for a scapegoat, and Tracy, who after all IS the only one guilty here, has served herself up on a silver platter.

I also recall Edward's comments about insulating his holdings in ELQ's from Tracy's, but I wouldn't expect the current writers to remember that little detail.
